LET'S GOOOOOO our credit card isn't working and they were fixing the issue but they didn't yet and i was deadass sure that i lost this gb lol. Another chance!!
I love your style of content, never ceases to amaze me with how fun your videos are to watch and how much production quality goes into each of your videos as for the supposed new style you're going for, I didn't even notice, keep it up
Love your videos, like the more shorter style too especially if it's more sustainable for you. I did feel like the colour grading and grain on this one was a bit too heavy, it made it really hard to examine the ano colours.
i think this is the first time i subscribe to a youtuber with a great amount of quality in production. i was almost as same time as you started liking custom keyboards and hopefully you will be successfull in the future. love the content search this as im having my qk75 soon too!
"Babe wake up avi uploaded... babe? Babe? BABE!!! Damn I think the quality killed her. Anway..." how many times can I comment the same thing? incredible vibe, incredible style, GREAT video, simply wonderful man, AMAZING work!
trying to keep myself from impulse purchasing my 3rd QK board and stumbled across your channel. the editing and video work are amazing and really unique for the keyboard space. keep it up brother!
FYI, Kailh blacks are basically identical to cream stems. Same plastic material (pom), and gives that long pole clack to the switch. Difference is that they're WAY cheaper than creams and they're black not beige colored.
cream stem in a cherry black is a bcp without the jwk bottom. you can use a kailh black or kailh red stem for something that performs the same but a fraction of the price.
Holy shit man. Just found out about your channel and oh my god. The artistry in each of your shot compositions and the comfort it brings me, stunning! As an aspiring keyboard youtuber, I would love to hold such a unique style that you have the talent to create. I would love to see a setup tour detailing how you shoot your videos or something along those lines. As a fellow Adelaidean, keep up the awesome work! Edit: also you got any tips for youtubing? I am waiting on some stuff to arrive so I can upgrade my first keyboard (tofu65) with orings and am planning to make a video on it.
Hell yeah mate that's so sick! Thanks so much for the kind words and so awesome to hear from a fellow Adelaidean. If you're on insta, hit me up @avinashkunjamboo - always keen to chat. Setup tour vid coming soon!
Ayooo, good day for an banger Avi video! The anodization comparisons with the sonnet was real helpful, also I can not unsee the uneven line width at the arrow cluster now :D Really like the board, makes me excited for what they have in store for us with the QK TKL. Much love as always brother 🙌
long pole stem + cherry housings are actually a very popular frankenswitching recipe. Something about that nylon blend that Cherry uses. You should try Kailh Brown stem in Cherry housings, those are long pole light tactiles.
Oh no. If you go down the frankenswitch rabbit hole, I worry if you'll ever come back. It would be entertaining to see a video where TofuTypes and you collab, and he explains his philosophy on what makes a good frankenswitch. Also, the one you made is so close to a BCP. The only thing now is to trade the bottom for a JWK bottom. I might be mistaken. Anyways sounds fantastic. Great video :)
Just found your channel when searching for info on this board as I contemplate getting in on the buy. I like your style, but am confused on the aspect ratio of the video? Why the big black bars?
Frankenswitching is the best part of the hobby imo. I personally recommend a nk cream stem with a pom bottom housing (Durock Pom linear or cobalt housings)
You should try cream stems in an oil king I think you'd like that as well. It's nice cause you don't need to change the springs like you would with an MX black.
you could mean that cherry switches sound more "full" than gateron and jwk switches that sound "thin" cherry has their own proprietary plastic blend so the top housings provide a unique "clack"
Dude, your video style is amazing. Keep it up. I would like your stylish yellow words to stay on the screen a little bit longer. I would like to read it without pausing the video.
your qk60 1 month-video was more amazing but i still enjoy the quality and structure of this video. i don't mind that you cut down on quality if it means you get to be more consistent; consistency matters more for content growth (forgot where i heard this advice from).
damn no i have to figure out how to make my zoom65 sound like this with a PC plate... maybe I should pick up some mx hyperglides as well... great video!
I love this video, I really appreciate the style being used. I'm new to the channel so I don't know if everything aesthetics wise is new in this video, but I loved the kind of 4:3 aspect ratio, The fonts used on the text for the details, the sound they make whenever they pop up (are these 2 details Gran Turismo inspired by any chance?) the 90's elevator music (vaporwave?!) , not to mention the editing and the content itself are quite nice. I'm glad I got to find your channel and subscribed. I know it's cliche at this point to say this, but you definitely deserve more subscribers. (some of your aesthetics choices reminded me of another great but criminally underrated tech youtuber: @GreenHamGaming)
Great video. Preference is king. I love scratchy Hyperglide Browns. The scratch sounds good to my ear... Memes be damned. Now I want to try a long pole stem in the Cherry housing :)
lol i have a green qk75 with a gold badge ordered as well! awesome seeing the colors. I will also be pairing it with PBTFans Resonance but im going with durock pom piano switches. Its unbelievable how similar of a build you made to mine haha
thanks so much! currently shooting on a fuji x-h2s with a tamron 17-70 2.8 - and used to shoot on a bmpcc4k with a sigma 18-35 1.8 and canon 24-105 f4. still trying to learn how to grade h.265 footage tho
Cream stem mx blacks is a long pole franken combo thats been around for well more than a year now. Yes, they are still considered a high-end (if not the best) long pole switch you can get your hands on, but the general consensus (at least in KR custom kb community) is that they are no longer really worth the price you pay (the already expensive creams + blacks + etc) unless you really want that cherry housing + cream combo. Honestly, if long poles interest you, my recommendation would be to try out non-franken long poles like Zakus or neons, or a cheaper franken option like Kaihl red/blacks or manufacturers that sell long pole stems separately like Geon before buying a full set of switches. Long poles change a LOT more than just the sound volume/profile. They literally hit your PCB/plate harder and sometime even hit your top housing a lot harder as a consequence. Not to mention cream-mx black franken switches sometimes can become a fuck-up for no reason and result in this weird 'tactility' despite it being a linear switch. Proceed with caution lol.
I was SO close to pulling the trigger on this board but ultimately have decided to hold out for a Geon product. How good is QK's green though?! I've got the QK65 in green and it is HOT. This board really is the best option for beginners right now - endless customisation options which you've shown well!
hey avi, in love with your videos and editing & filming style. just wanted to let you know for future reference kailh black and red stems should use the same mould as the nk creams except the kailh black's and red's are significantly cheaper, meaning the only difference is color and price. I say should because as of recently there were some revelations showing that some vendors actually sell a kailh blacks with a different stem mold which feels, sounds, and looks different. but you're more likely to get a good batch of kailh blacks and if you're ever worried you could just go the safe route and stay using cream's or buy from bolsa which i doubt would be a good idea cause they're based in the us.
Also wanted to add that kailh burgundy and speed silvers have a even longer pole than the kailh black's and red's, so i'd recommend giving either of those a try ( P.S. the burgundies and silvers should use similar moulds to eachother. )
Tried to click the link to Qwertykeys but comes up error 404? Also on their site it's showing that they don't have any keyboards in stock at all, just some parts? :(
If you can afford the Sonnet, I’d say just go for it. They are more on the high end spectrum, while QK is on the other end. Sound is much more of a preference, maybe several other things too. But in my opinion, Sonnet.
I had the same decision to make but went with the QK. I have a Mode 80 and can tell you that the quality is amazing. I was REALLY close to getting a Sonnet. At the end of the day though, I feel like the only thing the Sonnet does better is aesthetics. Yes, it looks amazing but the QK does everything, and more, that Sonnet does… for $250 less.
The only thing insane I found on this keeb is that the misaligned exploded layout of the arrow keys is insainly ugly :( There are a few other things that are (positively) impressive but nah, hard pass. Good video though! Subscribed.
QK75 sale extended to 10AM EST on 12th of Dec, 2022

Appreciate your efforts into all of your video.

legit held off on watching anyone else's videos on the QK75 to wait for yours, good stuff as always!
Haha thank you bro!! Sorry for the wait 😅
Oh wow. Production quality is top notch. Earned yourself a sub my guy
thank you mate!
I love the editing style has that 90's cinematic vibe

Thanks chief, yeah totally appreciate that. Still working on the colour grade workflow but I’ll refine it soon! Appreciate the feedback 🙏

The 75 era
this is avi just flexing how he has 2 boards which are priced at both ends of the price spectrum
my man almost made a Black Cherry Pie without knowing what a BCP is
Just found your channel when searching for info on this board as I contemplate getting in on the buy.
I like your style, but am confused on the aspect ratio of the video? Why the big black bars?
thank you! honestly, just a stylistic choice at the moment. just really like how it focuses the eyes and such
Interesting editing method, great quality video, have a sub! Would prefer a normal 16:9 or widescreen aspect ratio tho
thank you! yeah it'll be a consideration for the future for sure - just loving 4:3 at the moment haha
Frankenswitching is the best part of the hobby imo. I personally recommend a nk cream stem with a pom bottom housing (Durock Pom linear or cobalt housings)
I’ll definitely need to try. Thanks mate! It’s such a rabbit hole but I love it hahahaha
I'd like to ask what main camera you use to film your videos, trying to look for an all around compact camera for content creation right now :))
my last two vids were shot on a fuji x-h2s and everything prior to that was on my bmpcc4k!
wake up babe, new avi upload (bell didnt work again smh)

Noted, thanks man!!
and then you go on a search for that higher pitched clack and arrive at lubed clickes with silenced bottom out
really enjoy the retro / grainy style of your videos, is there an official name for this type of film / editing??
Thank you! I don’t think there’s a specific name, well not that I know of at least hahaha
I love the BeReal moments in the middle HAHA
HAHAHA was debating keeping or losing it lmao
You said it's the same color spec as your sonnet. But it looks green in the video? Did you get it in grey?
both boards are the respective companies' versions of a green top and black bottom!
man you really have some good taste!
another brilliant video
I always enjoy watching your videos, I think that you convinced me to buy the board lol. (thinking about using green anno with silver mirror PVD)
You convinced me to get it vs waiting on the Zoom75, which is saying something considering my other board atm is the Zoom65
Question for you! What’s your favourite foam config for this board?
your qk60 1 month-video was more amazing but i still enjoy the quality and structure of this video. i don't mind that you cut down on quality if it means you get to be more consistent; consistency matters more for content growth (forgot where i heard this advice from).

damn no i have to figure out how to make my zoom65 sound like this with a PC plate... maybe I should pick up some mx hyperglides as well... great video!

No foams at all for this entire video!

Great video. Preference is king. I love scratchy Hyperglide Browns. The scratch sounds good to my ear... Memes be damned. Now I want to try a long pole stem in the Cherry housing :)
Haha totally agree. Keen to hear your thoughts when you do!
can the knob be programmed to actually do something or it is simply there for decoration?
You can add a physical turning knob to adjust volume and stuff
Can i ask the name of thumbnail keycap?
Interested too!

Unfortunately the group buy ended a couple days ago mate sorry!!! If anything you’ll need to wait till the in stock drop next year unfortunately

i'd go the sonnet in a heartbeat

another banger!!!!

? So many different frankenswitches use the nk cream stem.
