I am sorry, but I will believe it when they consistently are winning games. The roster isn’t totally busted, and they can be a good team with a good off-season, but will they? I have been fooled way too often, too get to excited here.

Time will tell but I'm encouraged that steps are being taken to improve the mental performance of players and coaches. Also happy that the Bears will hire more experienced analytics personnel. Shawn, you were only one of two people that addressed the Bears deficient analytics staff in Bears media.

Awesome Shawn , the mental part of football & the disipline needed to not get flagged. Having a Mental Performance & Leadership coach that is a decorated Special Forces veteran can only help this Bears team. I remember some Big plays being called back by penalty during this year. The 2 teams in the Super Bowl are in the lower half of being penalized. The Jets / Ravens / Titans & Cowboys are the 4 teams most penalized in the NFL. Amazing the Ravens could overcome all their mistakes & still it came down to a sure handed TE that couldn't make a catch right in his arms.

I agree with Al Harris, to many distractions in Tyriques mind and game. He very talented but can’t put him on the field like that. Fix it or replace him.

That is all coaching. Eberflus and the defensive staff wasn't even mediocre. They didn't hold players accountable. That's coming from jaylon johnson. They wouldn't even practice how to prepare against other teams. Much better staff now and I think this whole team is going to look sharp

Stevenson should play safety he's borderline overweight but he's a good tackler when he feels like it.

As a Lions fan, I can tell you that if Johnson brings that culture of accountability and toughness, some positions will have a rude awakening. RBs better get their pass-blocking chops to top end effort or they won't get the rock. Gibbs started slow because he struggled with pass protection early on. Swift might not make it. Randel El is going to get your guys on the "Heins Ward" program. Run the right routs, help your team mates via blocking if you don't have the ball, and run plays don't allow for "business decisions" for blocking. I think Bears fans will love it. JT Barrett has been working his way up and has shown his worth, it's a good hire.

Either Stevenson or Smith (hopefully Stevie) should become a Safety. Both are big, long and rangey. Stevenson, is more physical, but either one should be tried out for the position.

Don't think they will cut Stevenson - they might sit him but they won't part ways. Focus needs to improve but he plays with an edge that this team needs. His play would benefit from Harris coaching,. Terrel Smith is eating should he falter.

Smitty’s game is more reminiscent of Al Harris in comparison to Stevenson IMO

83.9 allowed qb rating would be like defending the 25th ranked QB in the league on average. I find it hard to believe there are 145 that did better that had a similar amount of snaps as Stevenson did!

Johnson needs to get onboard with this too. He is just as much a slacker, and contributed to Stevenson's behavior being what it developed to. Johnson got his contract and went back to half speed play again.

I like Stevenson...he's got a ton of talent, unfortunately he's a goof with a little too much of the U in him. Hope for the best here to get him straight.
