The man in the bulging windbreaker kicked the Bears butts often and deserves credit for developing Rogers and other QBs. He would be highly motivated to show Green Bay they messed up letting him go. Not my top pick but worthy of consideration.

What ,,,the last 6 or 7 coaches proved the bears are a bad franchise,,, good coaches win maybe 2 ,,,possibly 3 extra games per year ,,,BEARS still won't qualify for any play off game face it ,,.
      DA PACKERS
      DA VIKES
DA LIONS will all be better than the BEARS for years to come,,
No coach takes the BEARS near any playoff games any time soon.

Jerry’s going to hire Coach Sanders for the high profile publicity. Then he’ll work a deal where he manages to unload Dak in order to move up and draft Shedor… Watch 😂✌️

I don’t even care if we win now but we need a coach who can developed Caleb into an elite nfl qb and once that happens the bears can figure the rest out Caleb is young and things like this take time being in someone that’s gunna elevate Caleb and take care of the rest after that happens

You guys should hire Freeman from Norte Dame. He would develop Williams and rest of team. He might be the next Mcvay 🏈✌️

McCarthy has the 8th highest win percentage of the current head coaches. He is beat by Jim Harbaugh, Matt LaFleur, Sean McDermott, Andy Reid, Mick Tomlin, and John Harbaugh. He is around 28th all time. He is not middle of the pack and would make a great HC for any team looking to win consistently. I fear that the Bears will go for the "hot" unproven OC that flames out as a first time HC when they could have taken Vrabel and McCarthy and be consistent winners. I hope Johnson will do well as the Bears' HC because he has a great offensive mind, but the NFL has seen many "great offensive minds" become head coaches and fail. As a long-time fan, I would just like to see a decade of consistently being in the playoffs under McCarthy and trust that Williams will develop to bring the Superbowl trophy to Chicago. I cross my fingers for Ben Johnson, first (please don't fail), but I want McCarthy second. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_head_coach_wins_leaders

Between 2013 and 2024, the last four Chicago Bears head coaches (Trestman, Fox, Nagy, and Eberflus) combined for a record of 75-116 and playoff record of 0-2. Mike McCarthy's record in that span is 96-70-2 and a playoff record of 5-6. Not even a comparison. Hiring McCarthy would be a step in the right direction and not be "worse" for the Bears.

I’m more into hiring Johnson but McCarthy would be a solid hire. I’m warming up to it and his record speaks for him.

@@SportsTalkBears1 He has proven success with multiple teams and brings the experience of a seasoned head coach, along with the ability to establish a winning culture, unlike an unproven option like Johnson, where there's uncertainty about the culture and impact he would bring to the Bears in the facility, not just the field. I get the excitement about Johnson and all the trick plays.

If Poles is dumb enough to wait on Johnson which isn’t a sure thing, you will lose a battle tested coach who was able to work for Jerry Jones. Unless Johnson said I’m coming for sure, you need to jump on McCarthy now. McCarthy will at least hold these divas accountable and expect his players to show up.

They better grab him. Ben Johnson hasn't done anything in coaching. We took Matt Nagy with the same thought as Ben Johnson. I remember he was supposed to be an "offensive genius."
Daniels left the Patriots to Denver and was terrible.
Heck, look at Andy Reid or Tony Dungy. They were both great coaches who won Superbowls for other teams. I like experience over play calling.
We need a culture change and a coach. I say get em.

At first I wasn’t crazy about it but Breer went on ESPN and said players love him. The guy won a Super Bowl and we haven’t had one of those in a very very long time. So… they should still go after Johnson with everything they have with guys like Carroll and McCarthy or even Glenn ready to go.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: please consider doing a post on the blatant conflict of interest with Tom Brady being allowed to broadcast the Wash./Detroit game while serving as the lead recruiter to get Johnson to LV. That is morally rep hindrance ble and no one and I mean no one is speaking up about it.

McCarthy did not get fired. By the way, McCarthy's coaching record is comparable to some of the NFL's top head coaches, such as Sean Payton, Mike Tomlin, and Sean McVay, and is better than Jon Gruden's
