I have rooted for the Bears to win every game since 1962. I have not changed.
Haha love that attitude. I’m 40 years in and am the same way. 🐻⬇️
58 been watching every game since I was 6 and figured out what they were doing😂😂😂. Love the game and love the bears win lose or tie BEAR DOWN!!!!
me too,
I am highly medicated with regular therapy sessions

Yes definitely it was worth it
🐻⬇️
Totally worth it!
🐻⬇️
The GB win was more than worth it.
Mike Vrabel is definitely going to NE
Hope so!
Always for the win. No matter the situation. But more importantly, FGB! Couldn't have happened in a better way either.
🐻⬇️!
It was worth it. Felt so good to jump out of my chair and scream to the heavens with delight.
Haha me too, my friend. 🐻⬇️
Thomas Brown will not be kept on. Ergo he becomes the only Bears head coach undefeated vs the Green Bay Packers? Yeah we did drop two spots in draft position. But if we get Johnson I trust in him to rebuild our offensive line because of the one he coached in Detroit. I think Sean would agree It really is the best in the NFL and all those blowouts Detroit hung on other teams this year were because of that. Remember if we get Johnson we aren't just hiring a new coach. We're taking one away from the best team in the division and whatever others he brings with him. If he happens to lure lineman here that would be bonus.
Definitely worth it!!!
🐻⬇️!
Well worth it 🐻👇🏽
Win totally worth it
They only would've picked 8th if they lost? The win was totally worth it. Builds some confidence for CW, the franchise, and the desperate fan base.
🐻⬇️
With the Patriots and Panthers wins. It would have moved Chicago to the 4th pick with a loss.
No it would not@@jeremydisbrow9814
@@jeremydisbrow9814so you care more about draft picks than wins?
@@jeremydisbrow9814jets won too as well as teams u listed
Yes
Shawn-win in GB was definitely worth it, no question. And it’s even more than beating GB or win # 5 or whatever. It’s about having something to believe in heading into a crucial offseason. And it’s about Caleb playing big in the 4th quarter, which he’s done all year (4th qtr QBR if 93 compared to 50 or so for JF1).
Really happy for Caleb who also should have had wins against Minn., Detroit and again GB. So, happy for him and for TB, who wasn’t afraid to coach CW hard and not baby him, as they both honestly discussed in post game. Wish we could somehow keep TB on staff but not likely.
Not worried about draft position. They say this draft has legitimately 12 first rounders.
One other note. At # 10, they should still focus on getting the best player. DO NOT be surprised if it’s a d lineman, especially if it’s Abdul Carter. Take what the draft gives you or consider trading back.
Finally, a personal note. Thank you for your independent thinking and please get healthy. Sounds like you need a x-pack or some antibiotics. Don’t mess around, I had that before Christmas. Get better. Let’s have a great offseason. We can still accomplish everything we need without firing Poles. God bless.
Thank for watching and enjoyed your take! I’m in the tail end of COVID - almost well. Thanks so much and God bless you and family as well:) 🐻⬇️
The win against the Packers was definitely worth it. As to a lower draft pick, not sure that Poles has done the best with draft choices, so I am not that worried about the difference between two slots. I mean look what we did with Darrell Wright. Wright is not an All-Pro, but Carter from Georgia would have been the better pick, but we traded back.
It's the Packers so yes it was.
I’m right there with you!
Yes it was worth it !! That was our Super Bowl ! That gives us momentum, Ben a Bears fan since I was 8 yrs old so 43 yrs and still Rooting for them !
100% worth dropping.
Just win, baby.
This win is worth dropping 10 spots bro. I mean it's not even about the win against green Bay or the draft spot. It's about what it means to go into the off-season with an important win in the books. Going into 2025 on a positive note. Winning against green Bay helps that a lot as well. Now the players can say at least we gave our fans this dub and gave them a chance to talk shit to their rivals during the offseason. It's huge. I mean even coaches are looking at this team and saying, "ok at least they rallied and got a dub against a tough team"
🐻⬇️!
I was watching where the Bears were going to be with draft picks after they blew those first three games against their division
I was watching the teams picking before the Bears during the last week.
New England won and beat the Bears. So the Bears would pick before them.
Carolina won, but the Bears beat them so the Bears wouldn't have picked before them.
I think that's the way it works.
I don't know what teams are looking for in the draft and what chances the Bears would have to pick someone they really need?
As I was watching that GB game, i wanted to see the Bears beat GB regardless of the pick.
Now that the Bears own GB, I hope they don't pick a player like Jenkins, who is definetly a good player when healthy, but Jenkins was drafted with a history of injuries!
I can't get excited anymore about who they hire until i can see what the organization does.
Why don't they stsrt ny getting rid of wade?
Every time they hire a new head coach everyone was convimced they were the one to get them to the playoffs.
GO BEARS!
FGB!
Should hire Jon Gruden.
What difference does it make? I'm sure Poles can find a young pre-injured player at 8 or 10.
Haha
both Bears and Packers finished 1-5 in the division, with their only wins against each other. One team dealt with dysfunction at multiple levels, and the other was a "contender". Bears are NOT far behind GB, and i think an improved OL and Ben in the building, its gonna add to the edge.
Fully agree - thanks for being here! Having the same divisional record is crazy… 🐻⬇️
When did Ben johnson say that he won’t consider the Jags because of the GM????
The GM's name is pronounced "Ball-Kee", not "Balk"...
That win felt so good! like a mini superb owl! Yes, the win was phyrric, but who cares! still picking at #10. Feel better soon sir! 🐻⬇
I say that every time we beat the pack, that's our little superbowl😂😂😂😂👍
@@Lee-kv1yh It really is. despite how the season went FTP and any win against them feels good.
We needed it for sure! 🐻⬇️
I feel Ben Johnson is the wrong guy
I keep waiting for a gnome to walk out of that little door and march up the stairs.
How about Gruden???
At least Johnson hasn't been fired as a head coach
The big wheels are now turning towards the bears favor
Hell Yeah!!!!! Yesterday's Bears Victory at Lambeau Field in Green Bay is always a major plus!!!! The Bears still have a Top 10 draft in the 2025 NFL Draft in Late April.
#BearDown Go Bears! 🐻🏈🏈🏈

The Jags ownership is a million times worse than the Bears if you can believe it.
Hard to believe but true haha
Bears beating the Packers is worth half the season.
🐻⬇️
Yes, besides, Poles has proven to be a poor evaluator of talent.
Yes and no! The Bears need to boost their confidence but they need all the help they can get.
Hell yeah win against the packers always worth it FGB
Sorry move on from Poles, lets start fresh and break the cycle.
Diff between pick 8-10 no biggy when not needing a QB
7th*
Actually saving money moving down a couple spots every little bit helps the salary cap
@@gilbrown3430 we would have had 4th pick. I dont know where this 8th pick is coming from.
Worth it 100%! Just for the horse collar tackle alone! 🤬
Yes Ben Johnson
Initially I wanted them to lose for draft pick purposes... But... There is something to be said and more so FELT about beating the Packers after all these losses, and beating them at home... So... Was it worth it... Given the draft capital we currently have and possibly moving from 8-10... I would have to say... YES... For Caleb and for this franchise moving forward... And we play our cards right in the draft... YES... 11 game losing steak OVER... 1st WIN of 2025 against the Pack... YESSSSSS SIR!!! GO BEARS!!!
🐻⬇️!!! Thx for being here!
Bears are about to make another mistake when it comes down to head coaching. Ben Johnson is not the person for the organization we need a coach that’s gonna build a culture in the locker room not just the caterer to Williams. We need a coach that’s gonna to coach the entire team.. and losing two spots in the draft is very important than winning a game against the Packers specially when you have a losing season. Sometimes you got to look at the big picture.
Yes, beat Green Bay at all cost...
🐻⬇️
Great win over Green Bay !! Actually---only a blocked field goal away from sweeping them !!!
Just like playing the lions last year. Super frustrating that when things are together, we can play w anyone…
I think it’s encouraging still - this isn’t a tear down and we have our qb. Let’s get the right staff in and build this. 🐻⬇️
Or another missed blocked field goal from being swept
Yes, FGB!
Was dropping 2 spots worth it? After 11 straight losses to FGB, I would’ve traded that 1st round pick for a win.
Haha 🐻⬇️!
POLES DOESN’T WANT BEN JOHNSON!!! THEY HAVE DIFFERENT AGENDAS. JOHNSON WANTS TO START A LEGACY OF WINNING. POLES WANTS TO KEEP HIS JOB. THE TWO CAN’T HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME.

Hell yes it was beating Green bay means more than pics
Ben isn't leaving Detroit. Not this year.

Me too brother

🐻⬇️
Yes! The win was necessary.
Some thoughts:
- Was winning vs GB worth moving from 8 to 10 pick?
Yes. Of course. Trying to tank for better draft position is for teams that have zero future. There is plenty of young talent that should make any organization optimistic moving forward. Fretting over draft position is akin to breast feeding. Evebtually, you get old enough and its time to learn how to use glassware, lol. Yeah, you're gonna stumble and get knocked around a bit, but you've got to see a team start winning SOME games. A 10 game losing streak was bad enough. Chicago didnt need to make it 11, lol.
And on that note, if you look through the lens differently, this team is too good to even be picking 10th. Their record should have been better. They underperformed. They werent playoff bound, but certainly they had the talent to be better than 5-12. Picking 10th is still a blessing.
And of course there is also the factor of momentum, although I find that to be overrated, especislly spanning across seasons. But beating Green Bay finally is not NOT significant.
But back to the main point, you also want to see these players actually win games. Cheering for them to lose means you dont think they are anywhere near close enough yet. And more accuratrly, if you think picking 8th is that much mkre significant than 10th? Lol, no. No way.
- Head Coach moves
This vid mentions how the Lions OC, when he goes somewhere is going to want to bring his own GM with him. Thats a really curious dynamic. I dont follow stuff that closely in the NFL, but how often does the coach dictate the GM? I know power struggles can happen, but I dont know if I often heard of a coach coming in and immediatrly installing a GM of his choice. I feel like thats also got to be rare in the MLB, NBA, and NHL. Maybe it happens there too, idk. Strikes me as unusual though.
Thanks for this! I fully agree with the draft take (wasn’t expecting the feeding reference haha)…
Maybe I used imperfect language, but many have reported that Johnson wants a place that he is comfortable working w the GM at his new spot and ideally would like a say in who is installed/hired - even as far as handpicking him.
I think people can “desire” a lot of things ideally - but I agree with you… I’m not so sure there are many teams who would provide that much control to a first time HC.
I hope the Bears do what’s right for them.. and I would personally love having Johnson in town. Awesome comment here - provoked some thought! 🐻⬇️
@SportsTalkBears1 lol, the breast feeding surprised me too, but felt too perfect of an analogy at the time to think of anything else.
For a FGB win in their house well worth IT I'm good with
It can't even be quantified how much this wind means to Caleb and the Bears organization.
Seriously, our number one overall pick the future of our franchise had a gut check game/moment with a 10 game losing streak team.........and they went into Lambo.......and they came out with a victory!!!!!!!!!!
Did you see his smile at the press conference? ....... Did you see him naming facts about how long it had been since we had one in Lambo or just beaten them he knew how important this was and he delivered on all levels
That is ALL that effing matters!!!!!!!!!!
HE IS THE FUTURE OF OUR FRANCHISE AND NOW GOING INTO THE NEXT YEAR THERE'S GOING TO BE NO QUESTIONS OF WHAT ABOUT THE STREAK????????
ARE YOU GONNA BE ABLE TO BEAT GREEN BAY???????
IS YOUR COACH GONNA BE ABLE TO BEAT GREEN BAY?????
BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH NONE OF THAT BULLSHIT CAUSE THAT CONVERSATION IS DEAD, AND CALEB KILLED
IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a way this was Caleb's mini championship moment from his rookie year...........truth is........ my guy stepped up and won the day. Will take on the real playoffs next year.!!!!!!!!!!!
He can be the future all he wants to be, but losing draft position to get offense of line difference makers. Yes win was good but it might have fucked them
Love it. Thx for watching! 🐻⬇️
the morale boost of that win over the 'cheese heads' means more than two spots in the draft, that was a great way to start 2025 and hopefully they can build on that momentum in theoff season. GO BEARS!
Johnson will be overrated for a coach watch
I hated that we beat GB and fell in the draft position, BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! FGB ALL DAYYYYYY!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!😝😝😛😛
Haha 🐻⬇️
Of course it was worth dropping two picks we need an offensive line everyone we need is in our pick wheelhouse.
🐻⬇️
Feel better Shawn! Yes ending the two losing streaks was worth droping 2 slots. Did you note we beat the Packers because their HC messed up and gave us the silver of hope? We took advantage of that.
Yes it was worth it
NO keep the bears the way they are Till they are sold and moved to a new city!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 This is what Chicago fans deserve!! Especially my dad!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You play to win the game.
I like poles
Hell yeah it was worth#🐻⬇️💪🏽

You bet it was
Feel better buddy
Thanks friend - I’m on the tail end of it:) 🐻⬇️
Not every GM has pro bowlers he's building a team he straightened out this team he's done a Great job in my mind 🤷🧡🤙
Just like Michigan beating Ohio State. The win makes the season more palatable with a win over Green Bay in GB.
Perfect example! 🐻⬇️
Pete Caroll to the Bears!!
He's too old. We need a young group to grow with CW.
Yes, not having GB nightmares until September is worth one or two draft spots!!😎
I guarantee Jags would listen to Ben if he ask for Trents job. They would drop him in a heartbeat, Trent Balke makes Poles looks like an all star
FGB is always worth it! 🐻⬇️
Don't forget right Patriots 🤷🧡🤙
Interestingly, Ryan Poles was not in the locker room after the last game...
Hmmm interesting if that’s true! Thx for watching. 🐻⬇️
Beating GreenBay is always worth it!! The draft difference between the #8 pick and the #10 pick is minimal.
Wherever Ben Johnson goes, expect Lions exec John Dorsey to be named the GM of that team.
Packer fan that enjoys your show. I like being informed about all the teams in NFC NORTH. It seems the Bears still have a long road to try and get to the top of the division
Started with beating the Packers!
So do the Packers.
Hey brother, that’s cool that you watch! Appreciate it. Yeah we’ve got some building to do for sure - it’s so tough because as you know - coaching matters SO much and we haven’t gotten it right.
You guys have gotten coaching and the qb right for a lifetime.
We have our qb… now get the coach and we can compete. We finally won one against you guys!… it’s been a while.
Bears are not as far away as people may think. We gave away at least 3 games this year (one of them the first game against the Packers and other NFC foes) and we have a solid defense that we can add talent and depth to - especially on the line. We also have salary cap space and many draft picks to fill additional gaps on the offensive line, defensive line, running pack and linebacker/safety. The fact that our division is good top to bottom will bode well for us as we know what we have to chase.
You play to win every game period. But that goes double against GB!
FGB
While the win was awesome lets not forget the Bears are garbage. It does not matter who they Interview because when it comes down to brass tax the Bears will go with the CHEAPEST option. This is the reason the Bears will not get any better and will eventually ruin Williams because they don't have or will never get the correct Coaching Staff to develop Williams. Fact of the matter is if the McCaskey's stay in place the Bears will be Garbage for years to come as they have been garbage for years now.. The McCaskey's know absolutely 0 about Football and need to contact other Teams/GM'S to get advice. As long as the Bears keep selling out Soldier Field then why would the McCaskey's Spend any big money? The fans are at fault because they continue to go and sit and watch the Garbage the McCaskey's put on the Field.
Hot take bears fans are large reason why bears lose
Haha you might be right. 🐻⬇️
Put yourself in the player's shoes; who plays not to win!!!
Yes fgb
Gruden Hc Mike Singletary as Defense coordinator Eric Bienemy offensive coordinator = Supper Bowl
Agree with you Shawn about beating Green Bay ! For Caleb Williams to lead the Offense down the field & complete the key pass to DJ Moore who immediately went down / after that fumble he made to cause Green Bay to take the lead - awesome for both players. Santos to kick the field goal after having the FG attempt blocked at home - redemption all around.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ben Johnson ? That whole Lions organization is top notch in the NFL from top to bottom. The fact he is OC & Goff has excelled under his play calling is hard to ignore. Best O Line in football though should actually be another consideration. Johnson knows what a good O Line brings. GM Poles didn't see the HC problems under Eberflus in 2023. He kept him despite all the coaching decisions made that should have been huge Red Flags but retained him ! I'm not a fan of GM Poles & if Johnson wants to bring in his a GM bye bye Ryan ! GM Poles would NEVER hire a HC thinking that way. Which brings us to the real question who makes the Head Coaching decision ? Rumor is GM Poles is about to be extended. Interesting situation in Chicago !
This coaching search is getting weird already….
@@SportsTalkBears1 The weird thing is GM Poles did NOT want to talk about his contract situation. CEO Warren would not tell us either ! Chairman George McCaskey 1st thing at the press conference praising Matt Eberflus ! Does it get ANY dumber than that ? Or the fact so many Lions fans took over Soldier Field. He got mad about that but still sold sky boxes to Detroit fans who wanted to see the game ! Meddling George who learned nothing from his grand father.
@ it’s looking rediculous 🤦♂️
