Since I first started playing with Aqua Cast, I've been trying to find a pigment that will turn it black. Not gray, but actually black. I started by testing the many, many colorants and pigments I already have in the werkroom, with varying degrees of success -- the best being black acrylic paint, but it would seize up the Aqua Cast mixture so it would no longer pour nicely into a mold... After going through all that, I finally wised up and decided to seek out a pigment specifically for concrete or plaster. And that led me to this Marblers Jet Black Extra Strength color pigment for concrete, grout, cement, etc. So this is what I'm testing in this video, along with a couple fun new micas from SolarColorDust.com (10% discount code: luxinda).
