Thanks! I was so concerned that I keep it centered left-to-right, that I forgot to align the curve at the bottom with the curve into the air scoop! _Pivot it on from the bottom_ ! So the bracket ended up a cm or so low (which is fine) and a couple mm crooked. It seems to be firmly attached nevertheless. Fortunately, there was enough play in the mounting screw holes in the plate, that I was still able to mount the plate itself parallel with the pavement! I added a tiny square of foam tape between the back of the plate and the bracket.

Sometime back when automatic transmission was introduced, it became a revolution which replaced manual work of shifting transmission. Today, FSD is the next step to it ... for a newbie he sure does have a lot of confidence in autopilot by letting his foot and hands off completely 😂 I've mine for 2 years now using autopilot extensively and I NEVER EVER let go of the steering wheel, I always keep my hands on it, only resting my hands not applying pressure but it means I am able to take control when any anomaly happens (which has happened several times to me) without a second to waste, I'm not sure how reliable autopilot is in the States but where I am it can do some weird stuff when lane markings are not what it is used to. When there's not a lot of traffic on the road I do let my foot off the pedals but I always still keep it resting at the accelerator any other times, mostly I can quickly overtake and get out of a sticky situation or to brake if needed, again not having to waste a second repositioning my foot to the pedals.
