I currently have a 2018 Model 3, nearing 93K miles now. Holding on to it until the Juniper Refresh is out, because I absolutely want the upgraded Audio system & suspension, which the Juniper should bring per the grapevine. Keep up the good work, Brian!
Just picked up a new 2024 highland model 3. Great car! Thanks for the video. I agree that there may be a few small price adjustments to move inventory until Jupiter comes out.
@@PanditDasa that might happen but hard to predict. Some good insight might be average time from order to delivery. From the referrals I’ve seen come through (8 delivered), wait times aren’t too long.

The new version of the Model Y is coming out next year and it will have 40% - 50% more range, will function well in cold and hot climates and charge from 0 -80% in 15 minutes at a Tesla supercharger. So, if you buy a Model Y now, your car will be obsolete next year because the changes for the upgraded Model Y are massive. If Tesla does indeed increase production of the Model Y, then possibly, prices might go down a few thousand dollars in the near term. So if you can pick up a base Model Y for around $35,000 and get the $7,500 federal rebate, then yes, it would probably be smart to buy one this year even though the new Model Y is going to be FAR better than the current Model Y. It is likely that the updated Model Y coming out in 2025 or 2026 will very likely be more expensive. I would guess that prices will rise by at least $5,000 - $7,000, maybe more. The new Model Y should have a range of around 500 -plus miles and as mentioned earlier, function much better in cold and hot weather. So it will be a massive improvement on current EVs across the board. Right now Tesla is working with CATL, the largest battery manufacturer in the world to build an American battery plant for Tesla that will produce CATL's new cutting-edge LFP batteries that have the range and charge characteristics already mentioned. That plant will take at least two years to complete and maybe a year to bring online. But in the short term, Tesla may offer CATL batteries in the Model Y purchased from China. Solid-state batteries are already being produced in China, and so we should see them in the US no later than 2026. We will see if the next president will slap tariffs on imported Chinese batteries. It's hard to foresee because right now, China is years ahead of the US in battery technology. So, the US may have to allow Chinese batteries into the US market to keep American EVS, including Tesla EVs, competitive. Otherwise, Chinese EVs will pass Tesla, Rivian and other American EV makers because the battery is the most important part of any EV. If America is relegated to using old battery technology in its EVs, China will capture the world market, and tariffs won't help the US. As you can see, this is not an easy problem to solve. If you want to protect American car manufacturers and parts suppliers, vote Republican like your life depends on it. Biden and the Democrats are destroying the American auto industry, and China is quickly becoming the 800 lb. gorilla in the EV industry. Vote for Trump if you want to stop the Democrats' suicidal, anti-American policies, lower interest rates and stop the Democrats' insane inflation. The Democrats put morons like Biden in charge of critically important functions of government, and they are drooling idiots like Biden. One other thing you should consider about the 2024 elections. Biden and the Democrats have brought us to the brink of war with five different nations: China, Russia, North Korea, Yemen and Iran. These nations see that our government is being run by imbeciles, and they are aggressively laying plans to attack our interests. Biden and the Democrats are incapable of defending our nation. Vote Republican like your life depends on it because it just might!
Good analysis, thanks for the video. For the algorithm.

Waiting until December to buy. Hoping they might drop the prices in anticipation of the release of the 2025 Juniper. Fingers crossed :)

I was told again today that if I put down a deposit and the price drops, our price drops as well. If it goes up, my price will not☺️
Sounds like a good deal but prices can always change right after delivery/full payment as well
Tax credits. Discounts. Will people who bought this model before the discounts want to buy one again?
Even without credits, I’d guess many people would still buy a Tesla. They keep improving and costs are coming down.
@@BrianKehm ask yourself why are all these models being discounted. No coincidence major carmakers are only discounting EVs too.
@@skylershank9309 similar pricing pressure on gas cars as well.
@BrianKehm name all the ICE cars that are being discounted thousands of dollars.
