if you ever in NYC let me know. I would show places usually tourists don't know. .... but NYC would be boring to someone who has experienced what you have. amazing life journey, Brian,
Thanks I really appreciate it! I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll be in NYC next month but a quick turnaround. Hopefully I’ll drive out that way down the road and have more time.
I love this soothing video, your mindfulness approach to yourself and your surroundings. I see that you appreciate nature; I especially like that you included considerations about being mindful of nature and wildlife. Some people really do not know about the dangers of wildlife and I've heard and seen videos of terrifying encounters. Thanks for posting positive, helpful and thoughtful content about your experience in your Tesla! To more adventures and videos, Brian!
I enjoyed this video. We love our 2023 Tesla Model Y LR (built in Austin). It did great last summer driving from Dallas to Jackson/Yellowstone (~3,300 mi round trip).
If you ever get to northern Ohio, on the shores of Lake Erie, pm me. It's very lovely in early fall; not as beautiful as New England areas during the same time, but still very refreshing.
Love the video! So after a year, what are your favorite/Must have accessories. Don't know if you already did a video on that but it would be good content. As a new Tesla owner, the amount of accessories online is ridiculous. More than any other car I have owned.
Thanks 😊 and congrats on your Tesla! There’s a lot out there but I’ve kept my setup minimal. Most of my gear is for car camping. For Tesla accessories, floor mats and window covers have helped. Easier to clean and keeps it a little cooler in the summer. I might do another accessory/gear video soon.
I'll be living out of my Model Y this fall. Any recommendations for products? Privacy shades, charging adapters, etc.? Tips or suggestions for staying comfortable i.e. keeping condensation down, sleeping pads, climate control?
I’ve kept my setup minimal but I did share some Tesla camping accessories (in description). Condensation was worst in the winter. I had a warm sleeping bag and rarely used camp mode. I’d just turn on the temp in the morning before moving around.
Luckily not stuck yet. The car is great with all wheel drive but clearance isn’t too high. There are a few roads I haven’t continued down. And to play it safe, I’ve found backup camping spots for the night.
Great question! I didn’t use camp mode much. Instead, I have a warm sleeping bag. I’d turn on the ac/heat in the morning from the phone app before moving around.
If running climate controls, the driving range drops some in the cold. I’ve also slept in my Model Y a lot in the winter. A few nights got down to -15 F degrees. I have a few old videos that share how that went.
Thanks for sharing, inspiring 😎
I have slept at the same spot in Yellowstone! Thanks for sharing your story
Great spot and hopefully we cross paths. Thanks for sharing your adventures as well.

Thanks for sharing this video Brian! It was very good to hear what you learned!
Thanks for your comments and following along 😊 it’s been a great adventure.
Many places to car camp in Western NC for free if you haven't stopped through.
@@roccosperanza it’s been awhile since I’ve been through NC. I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!

Thanks I really appreciate your kind words! I’m lucky to have learned an appreciation for nature growing up.

That’s a big road trip and great places to visit! Thanks for your comments and following along 😊
I’m considering this with the model Y along with a tow bar storage box. The technology of Tesla is a whole different level compared to other vehicles
Do it !!

Nice man!!!

@@BrianKehm Thanks, man.
Have you ever gotten stuck and needed a tow? How is the clearance for non paved roads and campsites?
Luckily not stuck yet. The car is great with all wheel drive but clearance isn’t too high. There are a few roads I haven’t continued down. And to play it safe, I’ve found backup camping spots for the night.
Did you have your dog when you did this? I saw your beautiful dog go in your other video so just curious 😊
Did you used camping mode every single time ? And if u do for a year are you concern about getting battery 🪫 degradation?
Great question! I didn’t use camp mode much. Instead, I have a warm sleeping bag. I’d turn on the ac/heat in the morning from the phone app before moving around.
Have you ever had any issues w/ your TESLA during the extreme cold? Does the battery drain quicker?
If running climate controls, the driving range drops some in the cold. I’ve also slept in my Model Y a lot in the winter. A few nights got down to -15 F degrees. I have a few old videos that share how that went.
Turned in to a lecture
Like your vidoes, I could just do without a lecture about wild life.
😂 fair enough and thanks!
