Great tips! I have been camping with my two daughters a couple of times. Had a model 3 that was small inside. I now have the Y and it is great. One tip is to get a big mosquito net. We camped at a place with lots of mosquitos and put the net over the trunk lid to keep bugs away. The kids sat in the trunk eating bugfree. Made my own window shades but not ideal. Good video!
man I've done about three months of car camping in my Model Y total and am going up to the Olympic Peninsula this December. One thing I often dream about are custom, aftermarket seats that can fold down flat. it would be so amazing if someone made those.
I upgraded to the heatshield window covers earlier this year, thinking they would be awesome with the insulation they provide...but it turns out they don't fit quite the same way and because they're so bulky they're a bit of a hassle to install and carry around in the car. I've gone back to using my old window covers but I might bring them along on this trip to WA next month. The heatshield front and rear windshield covers are great, though. It's just the side window covers that are a hassle compared to the thinner covers with the flexible metal frame inside that you can get off amazon.
Lots of very useful info, Brian! Thank you. 😊
Thanks, B.

@@TallmanSE thank you and great tip! A net would be great to keep air flowing and mosquitoes out.

@@tonydeveyra4611 if I did insulated covers, I’d likely make my own for a perfect fit.
