I'm afraid this is one of the perils and risks of getting too good at tactics and understanding the combat system too well Joel that we have to create artificial challenges for anything to stop our mad scientist armies. Obviously you know I'm right there with you basically disinterested in fighting any kind of army less than twice my size unless I have all peasants LOL. Still my channel is more and more being developed to help somewhat newer players with some of the videos even if I still relish very complicated tactics and getting deep into the minutiae with guys like you...

I feel very blessed. 1.2.8.31530. I've updated to a beta, but I HAVEN'T updated to the newest/newest beta, and I'm fortunate that my system is still highly compatible with a large variety of mods. I'm scared now to update since it may cause everything to crash. Oops and yes, it's the RTS mod, SUCH a necessary mod!

I think gun to my head I actually prefer Battania to all other Kingdoms, but that's mostly because the fians are so OP'd and their infantry is so well-rounded. I do see the connection with history and Vlandia though I do think the game has excellent balance all-in-all.

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I think they mixed two eras....the medieval beginning and the end of the Roman Empire, I think they did this to have less criticism about the line of history. That’s why the Battania is so strong, they imitate the saxos and the Celts who destroyed the Romans. Vlandia, on the other hand, imitates the beginning of France, England, Italy and medieval Germany, Aserai is the Ottoman Empire, Sturgia is a imitation of Vikings they know it would give a lot of attraction and the Khuzait is the Mongols, clearly 😂 Of course is just an opinion 🤙 continue to talk about life, history and politics and other matters, you clearly have some advance mind in their 🧠😅 And an advice, make a stream 1 or 2 hours making a new campaign Keep the awesome work ✊ (I’m from Portugal, so you can see that your algorithm go to every places) sry my English 😹

I'll consider all of your advice if and when I do eventually live stream some campaign episodes - and for SURE your English is better than my Portuguese. Less than ten years ago I naively assumed people from Portugal spoke Spanish, but I suppose that's impossible, especially after centuries of attempted repression. I can also say that it is not your fault in thinking that Portugal spoke Spanish, unfortunately it is something that they implemented in people’s minds with the movies and series and the worst part is saying that the real Portuguese comes from Brazil. I think the saddest thing in this modern society is that they want to erase the story because it does not serve them for an Agenda. Lol .. there's something to that namely the fact that once you get about a third of the map conquered banner Lord does become very much a rinse and repeat overwhelm the enemy snowball effect and the campaign is effectively over. I have no idea how people have the patience to repeatedly play out a campaign fighting to the very last battle when their enemies outnumbered 100 to 1...

I have had people ask this before and I really have no other context to what is going on here. I don't have any mods that's affecting it although I do have one of the best horses 330 riding skill and obviously all the perks that increase horse charge damage. It would be nice if someone else answered your question by saying they have similar results so I would know that my own experiences weren't the outlier here and that there is something you can do to increase your charge damage...

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I've had similar results. It depends on the horse, which has a charge damage stat, and your Riding Skill. Riding perk at 275 will give +1 charge damage per 10 points of Riding above 200. So at 330 skill that's 13 points plus whatever the horse charge damage stat is. I think your speed relative to the target plays a roll but I don't have any solid information on that other than I think i've seen it pop up in the damage report in the lower left of the screen. I always try to go full speed through a formation while having a group of heavy cav set to Follow Me so that they hopefully also just plow over the formation, which I see results in the Kill Feed but i'm sure how much of that is from the horse damage or them using their weapons. Royal Destriers have the highest charge damage at 36, followed by Cossians and Tyal Horses at 31. Chart here - mountandblade.fandom.com/wiki/Horses I'm not sure if horse armor affects the damage, and there's a flag that adds a bonus to Charge damage that i'm not sure affects the damage.

Those for sure a limit to what kind of magic you can pull off the tactics but with enough practice experience and tactical tools in your tool bag you can definitely overcome huge odds

Glad to be part of your day, honored rather. I'm sure my tactics will evolve considerable in the 4-5 weeks I will probably dedicate to this side-series. TACTICS are the best part of the game. Honestly, the rest of the game is a little rough around the edges... But the combat.... It's almost sexual.

I appreciate all your support brother! I use it from time to time and normal player damage most of the time. I think there's enough support for me to continue to use it when it feels necessary(like fighting 5000 enemies).

I have a bluetooth headset, hyperx cloud something or other and it's REALLY nice but I still have this comment a lot. Not sure if I need to fiddle with settings or what to do... Someday I'll be buying another/different option, but I need to do more research. THANKS for the feedback mate.

Yep, though even a square would be fuct, as we'd just get closer with our own javelins and archers and pound them at point blank.

An excellent strategy and I recommend for people IF they have time. Often times in my campaign I have very little time because there is often another castle/city under siege and I gotta move fast. Your strategy isn't just sound though, it's killer(and works, I've tried it).

I'll try and slow down the action in some fights, especially episodes that are strictly tutorials. In most of the campaigns though there's a balance between slowing things down enough for each move to be understood and killing the action. I'll try and thread the needle but rest assured I'll have slower examples and episodes interwoven with the fast paced stuff! :)

@@pronouncedseven652 Yep, understood. In most battles, it's just muscle memory, but I promise there will be some battles in the future where I slow things down for easy viewing/understanding and to provide a tutorial effect.

I think a very serviceable PC for bannerlord with good graphics and all can probably be had for less than $1,000. Meanwhile for $1,500 I'm playing bannerlord at 4K graphics with all the setting maxed and it runs smooth as butter

Me too! It's not a perfect economy, no game is, but it's a pretty nice and deep system that allows you to conduct 'economic warfare' on your opponent, cause starvation of garrison and other nasty effects, as you described, that are all the minutia of war but it ALL matters. Maybe I'll do a deeper dive at some point, especially if there seems to be great enthusiasm for it, because like you stated, there's a lot to sink our teeth into here.

Yep, you've nailed it. Cavalry was more intimidation than actually annihilation. Same thing with early firearms. You speak of editing the files easily, well pretend I'm a golden retriever or little child and explain in simple terms how to 'add some charge' damage to my cav. Does this require coding skill? I'd love to just boost *slightly* cavalry in my vanilla Bannerlord.

Yep - nonstop battles, and HUGE battles at that. I'm resuming my 'Death Match campaign' soon where we fight the entire map and I've had instances where we had 10-12 battles in 8 game days. Not Kidding, just insane and nonstop action. Coming soon! Rhylan IS a beast Caladog like character, but we have a dozen similar companions in our army.
