Bannerlord Tactics for NO Casualties?? Seeking Perfection, Volume I: Sturgian Slaughter

In this episode and potentially new series, we explore battles where the goal is to win so completely that our army suffers few or even NO casualties. We'll explore various scenarios and tactics to attempt to achieve this, on Bannerlord Difficulty. While these tactics are hard to emulate, I believe with practice and a handful of the instructional videos I've made, you guys can have this kind of success too!

My campaign is an extremely late-game campaign where I am resolved to give no peace to these scum Kingdoms attacking me - seven of the eight have been at war for years, with only Sturgia at a neutral stance. My family of warriors is now large though and with what remaining strength and valor we can must, we stand against the map of Calradia.

Lord Retinue Uptier(Makes the enemy forces stronger, much less peasants and lower ranked troops)

Improved AI Troops(Also makes enemy lords and their armies tougher by giving them a higher daily xp rate. This means you'll routinely face armies with HUGE numbers of the highest tier units, sometimes four or five times the normal amount in vanilla Bannerlord): www.nexusmods....
Death for all: This mod allows you to set the rate at which nobles die more often. I want both a harder challenging late-game but also a more realistic game. If you're cut down with a massive aserai two-handed axe, you shouldn't just be injured 99.9% of the time. It's a very customizable mod so you can just a little more death or set the death rate so high you get several deaths every battle. The number I often like is '10', some deaths but not a massacre of nobles...

I also use the Dismemberment Plus Mod: It's highly customizable and works seamlessly with the new beta(and versions back to 1.28). I thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy carnage!:

I've also used Realistic Battle Mod in the past and highly recommend it for Ai and battle realism BUT I find the pace too slow for my taste and the AI is actually rather predictable after a half dozen battles. Still I wanted to put a plug in for it here, it's a GREAT mod and highly configurable. www.nexusmods....
Much of the music and inspiration for this and other videos in the channel are inspired by Epic History TV - probably THE best channel on youtube(and the internet for that matter) covering the Napoleonic wars. With amazing work Epic History TV takes you through the dramatic and incredibly story of Napoleon covering all of his most famous battles. I HIGHLY recommend it.

adding in horse archers to your usual mix? hell yeah man be glad to see what you come up with
Their glaive makes them insanely effective in a bunch of situations i messed around with them briefly
Still working out how to use them in melee, but certainly nasty enough just with the surround and destroy approach. Vids coming next week! :)
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions yeah it’s a bit like fian champions in that you never really have to put them in melee but they’re a pretty great shock troop if you want/need them to be. i’ve started really messing around with dismounting and or holding fire with horse archers/skirmishers just to see how they feel in certain roles and it’s been fun

Indeed and the effectiveness of the killbox using Archer divisions to kite. Of course don't overlook the fact that our army had Superior units to the army we decimated here. That's obviously a huge part of it

I've been running around with 250 Kahns Guards and it will demolish an equal sized army with no losses. Add tactics, and I've survived a battle of 250 against 850 with 25-30% losses (thanks to your videos)
It's refreshing and fun to run with just a horde of horsemen
I need a LOT of work as Khuzait, but I'm going to embark on a little side-mission and see if I can improve.

I always need casualties for medicin skill. But you are master of tactic. I just do F6 order and little adjustmant depend on situation.
Yeah, normally I would but my character is maxed in medicine(for a long time) at 246. :/
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions For Sure you can switch Surgeon after Battle or transfer wounded troops to another party leader.
Your tactics will be perfect when paired with the Golden Horde.
There will be a learning curve, simply because there are MORE archers to micro, but I may start by just having a horse archer division just F1-F3 for the first bit until I get my legs under me. (but thank you!)

When it comes to the khuzait one troop that always gets looked over is the lancer.
Lancers acting as the mobile shield walls and disruptive counter for the Khan's guard archer has been good for me.
But I am not on your level.
Will be nice to see what you do besides the standard.. "just take all Khan's guard" response.
lancers are solid at least that’s my impression fighting against them for a non noble cav unit they do great
also honestly use what you like and experiment until you find a good tactic for them i pick up aserai caravan guard just because they’re mounted axemen and i think that’s cool lmao
Roman legionnaires, English longbows plus Mongolian horse archers. What is the answer to this fighting force?
If you mean what tactic counters the tactic we demonstrated here(A Killbox), A divided heavy cavalry assault combined with horse archers would mangle a Killbox.
