A re-listen of this wonderfully written and produced novella is a must on a rainy day this week. Special thanks and applause to you and Mr. Frost for two of my favorite “one liners” from chapter 15 “As if there were another.” and from the Epilogue “Delightful girl; so much like her mother.” Your prose and Mr. Frost’s fabulous turn of phrase make me smile/giggle every time. “Fabulous.” (Sigh)

Interesting idea, but not perfectly implemented!!! And very illogical reasoning for all the uproar. Not researched well enough in some matters I fear. In addition I do not understand why Darcy didn’t call in Wickhams depth directly after G. died, that would have stopped him from investigating and harassing the Darcy’s for a long time. At least long enough for a child of Darcys to arrive. That would have kept A. as safe as she could be…. Ah well… The story has an interesting beginning but it drops significantly in my opinion. In great part because of all the logic gaps. The other books of yours I listened to were far better. Thanks for uploading audiobooks.

😂The true facts of history are always so hilarious or terrifying! I get intrigued when they are incorporated into stories! I think they add so much depth and really make a story into one I will talk to other people about 😊

I binged-listened to this series in 3 days...absolutely love it. My favorites are Darcy and Tanner. I love the Dickens references/characters woven into the stories, like the dance tutor Turvey(drop). I love the continuity throughout the entire series. This would make an excellent TV series! You have an excellent storytelling pace. You are now one of my favorite JAFF writers! Thank you for this series. The only thing I will point out are a few repeated phrases that I would recommend you stop using to improve your writing. This is NOT meant to criticize, but to help you improve your already great writing skills. I noticed these mostly because I listened to the entire series back-to-back. Scratched at the door (Knock or tap? Scratching on doors is just weird.) Spun on their heels. Dancers spin on the ball of the foot. Spinning on heels is unsteady, ungraceful, and awkward.) Scurried (Overused). Looked through their lashes. (Is this implying a squint, or the eye mostly closed or massive false lashes drooping in front of the eye?) Nibble on lip/mouth. (Overused.) Overall, a brilliant series! Thanks again for the hours of listening pleasure, I really look forward to more JAFF from you!

Secondary Character always Richard(!)Fitzwilliam, the Colonel always brightens the pages. Darcy & his relationship w/ Col would become an absolute bore in all the “Variations as Darc’s nemesis, problem solver & Georgianna’s beloved Co-Protector”! Author Joy is a fav, all her tales I con’t reading over several go back to’s.
