Once started I knew this book had a different tone to it. It did not disappoint. It was reverting, and exiting. A whole new Darcy! I’m not sure what Jane would have thought about this new Mr. Darcy, but I enjoyed the whole story very much. A twin for Darcy! Who could have known. Genius 😊
I love it. The plot is different from others with new characters that are very well developed. I particularly liked Alex and her unique sense of humor.
Oh my goodness, I just finished this audiobook. There were some really laugh out loud moments, I loved when Elizabeth flipped Wickham and I loved the name of the boat he was pressed onto, ah, the irony!!! Nick and Alexandra were an awesome addition to the cast. Stevie's narration was spot on as usual. Thank you for sharing your story!!
WOW! My thoughts went back to childhood memory of Darcy standing on a bridge, exploring while on Biz-Trip w/ his Father. There was “lil” Liszy, Captain of her ship of Pirates on the South Seas…off to pilfering & ravishing ships of the high sea! Jen U brought the imaginations to Reality!
As another listener said, it reminded me of an old movie, and I could picture Eryl Flynn or the like, as Nick and William! There were many chuckle moments that i enjoyed, too many to remember specific ones. And as usual, the narrator Stevie Zimmerman was spot on! She's great! Please never use AI narration, you can't listen to it and it ruins the art of the story.
I did! This was so enjoyable. The perfect mix of romance, mystery and adventure! I just wish there had been a proposal scene between Emily and Richard! But it was a very gripping book and I really enjoyed it.
Darcy as a twin, baby snatchers, sword fights on the high seas and Elizabeth getting to body slam Wickham. It does not get more enjoyable than this. Very clever Jennifer.
Wow a truly beautiful and riveting sorry. I would love to see this made into a movie. It kept the integrity of Austins novels. Innocent, intriguing and romantic. Thank you.
I loved this story! I liked it so much that I think I will listen to it again! And now that I’ve listened to what you said at the end, it makes it even more interesting if that’s possible. It’s truly a wonderful story. Thank you for presenting it to us! You are a wonderful writer❤️
I thought this was a brilliant story. The plot completely fleshed out and brought to an exciting and then happily ever after end. The mystery of the disappearing babies was repellent to any true parent but the reasons behind it made historical sense. The thing is, when you usually hear about a family in higher status 'adopting a child' you never think there is this kind of activity behind it. The horrific part was what was done to the gullible mothers, and the children who ended up without the home they were originally meant to be placed in. We know there were plenty of young women whose lives were utterly ruined because of the situation they found themselves in, no matter what the circumstances of the act that resulted in a child--love, or coercion. Gads, I'm glad I'm living now, and some may argue with that!! The piracy aspect of the novel was vividly realistic, you did a fantastic job there without the gruesome reality I would've turned away from. To place the world of Jane Austen over top of this world was the brilliant part. The despair Darcy experienced, the danger, all realistic enough. Our favorite characters were there, and some not so favorite. I loved all their roles. So well written!!. You excel at mystery, and this was one of the best. Thank you so much for giving us this chance to hear the audio on this channel. P.S. I loved your author notes at the end. Go Grandma!
Thank you so much, Michelle! This was very much a passion project for me, and I'm so happy that you enjoyed this historical adventure! Grandmas are the best😄Wickham wouldn't stand a chance🤣
Thank you, Rechel! I love to include Darcy’s parents ❤️ In Darcy’s Ultimatum his father is alive, and in Fitzwilliam Darcy’s Wager his mother is alive, but I haven’t yet written a variation where they’re both in the story. Great idea!
This was great 😊. I genuinely enjoyed it. I liked Nick and Alex they provided some real delight. 2 storys overlapping Stevie made it come alive ... as always 😁⭐.
Would love to learn how you develop these variations. Do you have a video that shows your process? Do you lay out an outline before you begin the creative writing? So many great storylines. And the historical vocabulary is fabulous!
Non riesco a finire, lontano dal sentire dall'originale, non c'è armonia è fuori contesto, i personaggi non rispondono allo spirito originale, peccato ☹️

2:44 in to the story, I'm hooked, kind of reminds me of those pirates romances movies they made in the 40s and 50s.

I think it's so cool that from Your children your father and your great granny Inspired the book that thoroughly enjoyed.

Is there an order to the book about Darcy?
Great question! Each book in this series is a standalone novel and can be read in any order you like.

That's why it's called a variation, give it a chance its good!
Thank you for giving it a try.
Must be the translation, wit, glimmers of good vs bad definitely didn’t work in the translation, sad.
Action packed wonderful story! And great narration makes for real entertainment!
Thank you, Janet!
