The earlier video had some overlapping audio at the Epilogue, which made it hard to hear. This re-uploaded video has corrected that issue. Happy listening!
Lovely, I really enjoyed it, it took a few chapters before I started too enjoy Nano Nagle’s narration but I thought she did really well. Many thanks once again for all the enjoyment, my favourite scene was when Mr Bingley finally took his sisters too task & ever Mr Hearst showed he had a backbone xxxx
Thank you, Lynda! I like to think that Bingley would stand up to his sisters, and I'm always in favor of characters growing a backbone☺I'm glad you liked that too!
I really love the exploration of Georgiana. And Darcy’s thoughts at the end about carrying a “cannon” to stop suitors proposing to his future daughter. Georgie snatching the diary and her speech as she threw it into the fire is my favourite as I love seeing her strengthened. This was only your third novel and your first mystery? To quote a popular character “I am all astonishment!”
Thank you, Shelley! Your comment is so encouraging, and I appreciate how you tell me what you especially enjoyed so I can include more of those elements in my stories ☺️
Seriously this is certainly one of your best. Sitting back listening is exactly how I’d imagined. Austen must have never imagined true happiness through her experiences beyond her ideal drear life. Imagine her loss, stern Pastor Father & her brother, the clever sisters off on their own of one upping her so she prevailed centuries later. Lizzie, Eliza or Elizabeth prevails. Go figure….
The story is great, but the narrator does not do it the justice that it deserves.sorry Jennifer, your stories need better. Keep going I love your talent. WCL
I loved the story the narration was no match for Stevie Zimmerman i’m afraid… maybe better suited to Dickens ? I believe she would rise to earned acclaim there …imho ty
I'm so grateful Nano was willing to take a chance on working with me when I was just starting out. I think you're right about Dickens being a great fit! Thank you so much for listening, Laurita!
Really loved the story, great job. I didn’t care for the narrator. I’ve heard other works of hers and I find them painful to listen to, I think she takes away from the story instead of enhancing the quality of the writing.
I have to say that i have listened to quite a few of these audiobooks by this author and loved them all… I do not know what happened with this one… this particular book has taken a huge departure from the manner all the other books were written in phrasing and vocabulary and character… i would almost think this was actually written by someone completely different… totally different style… i am no expert but it is odd at best… love and hugs
I love how kindly you put this. My best guess for the difference in phrasing/vocabulary/character is that this was my sophomore novel (and my first attempt at a “serious “ story) written over 8 years and 30+ novels ago. Hopefully, all that practice has helped to define my style, which is admittedly much lighter than it is here 😄
The whole idea is to be a spin-off or change -up from the original P&P. Not to replace it nor to improve but to say, what if... and then what if...or but if I.... So I find them wonderful! I love revisiting the characters and going down the author's imagination's variations.
Bravo Georgie, I love how her and Darcy stand together without holding back.

I listened to this one but didn't comment, and commenting helps the channel, so for now, until I listen again, this will stand in.
😄 I appreciate that! Thank you for supporting my channel 💕
I love Georgianna in win, Lose or Darcy - her attitude toward Darcy and Elizabeth, her learning new instincts, and her honesty with the two of them.
Loved this as I do all of your books. Thank you!
I'm so glad, Barb! Thank you!

Thank you so much, Laine! I imagine that Jane Austen’s humor helped her live through so many obstacles. She certainly wrote that way 😄

So glad you’re enjoying them, Sarah!
I like the audio books but this narrator is grating. The story is interesting.
Thank you for listening, Marge!

You’re welcome, Marta!

Good to know. I’m happy you enjoyed the story!
I thought the narrator sounded like Bette Davis.😏
I agree… she changes the characters with her narration …
Fantastic adaptation, but the narrator spoilt it completely
Good, the timeline was off a little in the epilogue, but apart from that fine. X
Glad you liked it!
Yes you could never have a crawling baby at three months old!
Narrator takes away from story, try Stevie Zimmerman, she is fabulous. I look who narrates now and will usually look for Stevie’s name first.

Listened 26, Nov 2022.
It was great.
Thank you!
Good story but the narrator makes it hard to listen to.
That’s amazing you were able to enjoy the story anyway 😊 Thank you, Karen!
Hi
Lovely idea.
I would love love love a similar series with Rochester and Jane....
Can you please send suggestions?
Nandini from India.
I fear that I've neglected Rochester in favor of Darcy, but hopefully other fans will share some of their favorites!
Would have been a great book with different names of the characters and not a variation of Pride and Prejudice. Great narrator.
Thank you for listening!
