Amazing, thanks! It worked finally after trying everything. I first got the failed writing body error, but then I saw that I forgot to run the Change directory to Macintosh HD command. After that everything worked. :)

Hi! I was following the steps but the moment i try to select my usb in the min 10:46 the programm doesn’t found the usb, i made “search for disk again” and it doesn’t. My Mac recognizes the local disk but the programm doesnt, what can i do?!😢

I have a 12,1 (2011 iMac 21.5 in) that I ordered a graphics card for. I'm also going to be upgrading the internal HDD to an SSD. For using OCLP should I try to put the graphics card in before updating to a newer OS or after? It's a WX4150 so it's a metal card. I tried looking on the Mac Rumors forum but that gets really confusing really fast.

Hi, this worked up until 9:20 (apart from I only had an xml file to delete; the folder wasn’t there) but did not fix the problem. I still have the same error message. Part of my problem is that the WiFi does not connect in this state so I am having to do everything offline and search for fixes with my phone. Any ideas? Thank you.

I have a 2011 MBP 17" with a disabled AMD Radeon HD 6750M (by removing the 0 ohm resistor to remove the power from the chip). Will this still work? It's still running on 10.12.6.

Wondering if you have tried installing OCLP on a MBP 2011 15” or 17” with the GPU bypassed using CMIZapper? This is the small board that is soldered onto the motherboard over the bios chip to bypass the troubled GPU. My issue is after installing OCLP doesn’t matter which Ventura, Monterey or Big Sur, it stops on the final boot. During progress bar boot it stops mid way during the POST checks. Typically at the same boot process when it checks the GPU. It just stops. I have another 2011 that did not have the GPU bypass and OCLP installed without issue. I placed that hard drive in the bypassed MBP (similar setup) and it stops at same location (GPU POST check). Any suggestions?

Thank you very much. I was about to discard my 2013 iMac because I could not use it for all my tasks, including Chrome. However, after watching your video, I was able to successfully upgrade to Big Sur by following your clear instructions. I have just one question. After installing macOS Big Sur, the Software Update feature is prompting me to upgrade to macOS Sonoma 14.5. Should I proceed with this upgrade, or will it adversely affect my 2013 iMac? I appreciate your assistance in advance.

If anyone figures out a way to get the Intel Core II / Big Sur (2013 MacBook Air) to receive from iPhone / iOS 17 I'd love to know. Someo people have had limited success with 3rd party apps. It's long-shot at this point, but hey. Some of y'all are very clever.

Thank you for providing this video.. it convinced me to try and update my late 2012 27" mac to Sonoma, which all went relatively smoothly, but after the fact I am having real stability issues. I have füll 32GB RAM and replaced 1T SSD hard drive and the resources seem to be coping ok, but it is crashing in sleep and having real graphics madness issues. I've been trying all week to cope with the issues but no chance. I would like revert back to Catalina or try Big Sur... Can you provide or point me to a step by step instruction on how to do this? (I am not an IT expert and have to taken by the hand and guided step by step). I still have the OCLP 1.5.0 installed but cannot roll back. My Timemachine back up will not let me roll back either. I'm stuck and not sure what to do. Can you help please?

When we are ready to upgrade to Sequoia, what do we need to do? Do we just update like a normal Mac User would update in Systems, or do we need to do something with the Patcher?

I tried to install sonoma 14.5 on my imac 12,2 I ran opencore patcher, I followed all the prompts, even used to post patcher after several attempts, my wifi menu bar doesn’t appear, can’t toggle wifi or network on or off.. my keyboard doesn’t work either. HELP!! Like WTf!?
