The GBA Games were quite good, even the Fellowship of the ring and the Hobbit game, they reminded me of Interplays old Lord of the Rings games... they all deserve a remake.

Answer: yes 😂 JtJ and FvZ were my original "wow UC Gundam is fun" games but when I finally picked up this masterpiece (and by that point it had become hard to find second-hand, commanding an impressively-high GameStop used price), there was just no looking back.

I loved this game, regret not buying my own copy back in the day when I could.

PW is easily the best arcade air combat game ever made. I appreciate AC and even Hawks for being fun, but something about PW brings it that feeling I had as a 10 year old kid running around my backyard in the 80s with my GI Joe planes

I remember going to my friends house to play this on our Gameboys back then. Had to use a cable between them to play it co-op.

...I can't believe I never played this game. It looks amazing and a big improvement over JtJ, which I already liked.

This game gave me a fondness for canonical MS like the Guncannon and non-canonical stuff like the GM Sniper Custom. Really enjoyed hitting those slow-ass super-shots from the "hold square" (I think) command. I don't remember if I enjoyed the Z'gok here like I did in FvZ, but I think I remember the Gouf being fun? It's hard to say; despite the much-different gamefeels my memory starts to mush on it all. Like others here, this game, Federation vs Zeon, and Armored Core (as well as the Gundam franchise in general) really made me start to love mecha, between the PS1/PS2 eras. I definitely became more of a UC purist as time went on and started to dislike stories that moved away from the "real robot" aspects where mecha were somewhat fallible/clunky machines... including _some_ later UC nonsense from Zeta onward. Anyways, this was a really nice look at one of my old favorites. I'm curious if I'd still enjoy it today myself. Thanks!

@4:20 - "Accurately portray the RX-76's beam weapon" There is. PS2's Federation vs Zeon. I will argue that this is hands down the best Gundam game of all time. It's not a retelling of the story, you're playing as a grunt that's working your way up through the army as you upgrade your suit and get new and stronger ones as the One year War moves along. You can play as either Federation or Zeon. On the Zeon side, you can actually fight Armuro, and he's horrifying. You are just a grunt, the game will remind you of this, and he will kill you in one or two hits.

There isn't full mech part customization? You can only choose a premade mech and then select weapon loadouts? Not very Armored Core... Edit: Also is there a pvp multiplayer mode?

Im not using english as my mother tongue, i played AC5 and then stuck in mission 11 as a kid, later i tried and succeeded but stuck again when i need to photo the tunnel and plane, but when i grow up i tried again and finally end the game, this is the best AC game i ever played

This was one of my only games for my SP, and it was enough for me. That, Doom and Pokemon Crystal. It was all I needed. Still have my cart hidden away too!

I am a huge gundam fan especially for zeon. This is hands down the best gundam game. Lots of suit variety with a cool side story adjacent to the show. Amazing through and through.
