Really good, half way through cell arc, only complaint is anytime having to fight radditz and nappa at the same time for all vegeta traing ground moves.
I’ve spent significant hours playing Kakarot as well. Overall , I think it is a great game that does complete justice to the DBZ anime show. Going thru the story line and all the arcs of DBZ brings back nostalgia from our childhood and seeing each and every character from the series really brings back memories. Although the game is decent it does have opportunities in o be even better and after playing it I do have some serious recommendations on improvements Flying Mechanics: Realistic Flying with Boost Speeds: Multiple boost speeds ranging from casual (for exploration) to super-fast (faster than supersonic). This would let players feel the power and flexibility of characters like Goku while making flying more interactive and less monotonous. Tricks and Air Maneuvers: Adding aerial tricks like barrel rolls would make flying more engaging and fun, adding depth to the mechanics beyond just traveling from point A to B. Nimbus Upgrade: Applying the same improvements (boost speeds, tricks) to the Flying Nimbus makes it feel less like a static ride and more like an immersive experience. Aesthetics and Customization: Fixing Transformation Auras: Improved animation for transformations and Ki charging would elevate the visual spectacle, making transformations look more powerful and true to the anime. Free Roam Transformations: Letting players transform during free roam adds a sense of freedom and authenticity, making it feel more like living as these characters. Costume Change Flexibility: Allowing players to switch costumes at any time offers a sense of customization, something many players enjoy. Combat & Free Roam Integration: Seamless Combat Initiation: Removing the need for a specific battle start screen and allowing players to engage in combat mid-free roam, locking onto targets naturally (like action RPGs such as Spider-Man or Assassin’s Creed), would make the world feel more dynamic. Using Ki and Super Moves in Free Roam: Allowing players to fire Ki blasts and super moves during free roam (in 3rd person) adds a layer of freedom and fun, letting players test powers outside of structured battles. Traversal and Environment Interaction: Parkour and Running Animations: Adding parkour moves and improved jumping/running animations (with speed boosts) would make even ground movement more interesting and fluid, rather than just being a means of transport. Fishing & Hunting Mini-Games: Making fishing more complex (like in Red Dead Redemption 2) and adding hunting with challenging mechanics could make mini-games feel more rewarding and skill-based. Interacting with Objects in Free Roam: Allowing full interaction with objects would breathe life into the environment, making the world feel less static and more immersive, like in true open-world games. Free Roam World Improvements: Suggesting a bigger, more varied, and fully explorable Earth (with fast travel like Spider-Man 2) would make the world feel enormous and open-ended. Instant Transmission: Using Goku’s Instant Transmission as a fast travel method would add immersion and fit well with the lore. Sub-Stories and Tasks: The suggestion of more varied and less repetitive side quests would help keep the player engaged. Combat Depth: Liberating Areas: Having missions where players liberate areas from enemies (like RR robots) adds purpose to exploration and incentivizes combat beyond just story missions. Improving Random Enemy Spawns: Modifying how enemies spawn to make it less annoying and more dynamic would reduce frustration during exploration. Training Opportunities: Training with different characters in different settings (wilderness, hyperbolic time chamber, Capsule Corp, etc.) would add depth and variety to combat development. Expanded Interaction with DBZ Characters: Doing chores, tasks, and favors for characters like Chi Chi or Bulma adds personality and allows for deeper relationships and immersion. Challenging Tasks and Quests: Increasing the challenge level of certain tasks, like getting ingredients for Bulma, would make the game more rewarding and engaging. Additional Immersive Features: New Arcs and Storylines: Including arcs like Goku in Yardrat and Otherworld Martial Arts would expand the lore and variety of playable content. Rescuing Citizens: A feature where players can rescue civilians and earn rewards (like in Spider-Man) would give free roam a greater sense of heroism. Racing Challenges and Health Meter for Cities: Introducing racing challenges on the Nimbus and adding a health meter for cities under attack would increase stakes and create more objectives during free roam. Combat Enhancements: Slow Motion in Combat: A slow-motion feature during fights could create more cinematic, high-impact moments, especially for finishing moves or big attacks. Finishing Moves and Grabs: Adding finishing moves and the ability to grab and throw enemies during combat would make battles feel more dynamic and true to the anime’s intense action sequences. Bruce Faulconer Score: Having the Bruce Faulconer score (famous in the U.S. Dragon Ball Z dub) would tap into nostalgia and make the game’s soundtrack more exciting for long-time fans. Improved Voice Acting: Increasing voice acting during smaller cutscenes (instead of just subtitles) would elevate the overall presentation and immersion. Better use of adaptive triggers and the PS5 controller to make the experience more immersive Add weapons like Trunks Sword and Goku’s powerpole Add a meditation feature to mediate and allow time to go by which will recover HP and will increase a small amount of XP points. These are just some improvement recommendations that I have sent to Bandai. If DBZ Kakarot is enhanced with all these improvements and features I would definitely buy it again!. Would you ? What do you all think ? Also any other suggestions on gameplay improvements? 😃
Man I’ve played this game atleast 3 times , games to fun and looks really good, just a true dbz fan who can’t get enough of, and just patently waiting for sparking zero , so been playing it again , wish they had super added to the game to up to tournament of power
With sparking zeros episode battle, looking lazy and unfinished (not like you should expect exactly kakarot quality per say, it still should be way better than what it looks to be) it seems like this might be the only way to go If you really wanna experience the story at its best because you’re not missing anything aside from super but as for Z this is it. Also, I’m not trying to just completely hate on sparking zero because it’s not out yet and I am excited even though I personally just feel like it’s pretty overrated especially for a game that’s not out yet.
@@MacJack-z4i I think Kakarot will remain the best way to experience the full story in a way that's almost as good as watching the show. Sparking Zero's gameplay will be vastly better though. Can't wait, less than a week to go!
I think the main issue for me was the EXP disparity. I did a lot of "grinding" before fighting Raditz for the first time. And it's like, every normal fight gives you very small amounts of exp, like 100. And then the Raditz fights gives you a crap-ton, like 100k. Those aren't the exact numbers, but that's what it felt like. It made doing the side stuff feel useless.
My only complaint is that on pc, the menu keeps reverting from keyboard controls to controller. That and the random encounters that are a pain in the ass to deal with
CC2 did a fantastic job on the representation for DBZ Kakarot and overrall playability. From the art style, flashy moves and overrall great voice acting, which is a lot to say for an anime game. I wish in the future, JJBA, HxH, or even Full Metal Alchemist would get the same treatment some day.
The worst thing about the game is the side quests. They rely way too much on really boring "go here and collect this many items or talk to this random NPC" objectives. Thankfully the rest of the game is good enough so the objectives aren't a huge problem.
SPOILER: This Game is getting DAIMA DLC!!!! Yes it's worth it. Do you want a dope single player experience of feeling like you're one of the Z Fighters during their adventures? Then this is the game for that. It's current day Legacy of Goku series on Cr*ck!
My only gripe is that the cutscenes are sometimes very awkward, with long pauses between lines, and minimum movement for the characters. There is also way less unique music, and certain themes are used way too many times. But there are also cutscenes that are beautifully animated, and if you have the dlc there are more stories to explore. I give it an 8/10, it's pretty good.
same, or at least I wish there was more diversity in the tracks in the game. if they had different soundtracks in the game it would be an 8/10 instead of 7/10 for me
It’s everything I wanted Budokai 1 to be although I also loved that. The DB games I play these days, kakarot and sparking zero back to back and nothing else!!!!!!
Having played this on both Ps4 and PC i gotta say i love this game finally getting around to the DLC but i would say it is definitely worth it especially since they are still going to add more DLC also

@@Can0fpepsi This game includes the entire story of Z, plus some additional arcs via DLC. A TON is covered, I had just only played through the Namek arc when I made this vid.

Man I remember that I wanted the game a long while ago when it came out only for me to put it on the backlog mainly because of 2 reasons. The first was we already had like a whole bunch of video games already out at the time and I didn't want to add another long R PG to that list at that point and 2 looking at the game overall, it's basically an updated version of legacy of goku 1, 2 and Buu's fury on the gameboy advance except on a bigger budget and on everything. Which don't get me wrong that doesn't mean I'm dogging this game at all especially considering that it's the only anime game that isn't a God damn arena fighter for the five 100th time but the fact that it's basically just the exact same plot as the original couple of saga's over and over again with some of the movies, I feel like we've done this hundreds of times before. But on the bright side this game has a unique distinction of making specific things canon that all the other previous games never did so I give it credit for making things canon and giving more people the opportunity to experience the original saga's if they don't want to go through either watching the entire anime or play every single other game we've had of the series or maybe play Legacy of goku 2 and Buu's fury. And Hey if anything Kakarot gives these people a way better experience in the saiyan and Freiza sagas without Goku getting his ass kicked by dogs lol. Still happy this game exists and gives us an actual R PG game that's based around an anime that isn't just another fighting game again....... Now if only we can get the same treatment for other anime series on top of getting a dynasty Warriors game based around most of the anime licenses that isn't just one piece and some other examples.
Better than sparking zero, don't even need to play I was already bought when I saw the trailer first time and when I played the game I'd never thought to feel that excitation I once has on Budokai and Tenkaichi, a perfect DB game
When the game initially released the biggest complaint I heard was that you don't really need any of the RPG mechanics to play the game bcz apparently the story mode gives you so much exp that you don't need to train your characters at all, after that I think a hard difficulty was added to the game but I haven't heard if that was enough to fix this problem So I want to know from you and anybody else who has played this game if that problem still exists or not
Got the deluxe edition on sale, it was cheaper than the regular edition. It's the open world Dragonball game I've always wanted, but my main complaint is the controls. It's a complete button salad, and if you put the game down for a while, you'll forget how to play it

Adding parkour moves and improved jumping/running animations (with speed boosts) would make even ground movement more interesting and fluid, rather than just being a means of transport.
Fishing & Hunting Mini-Games:
Making fishing more complex (like in Red Dead Redemption 2) and adding hunting with challenging mechanics could make mini-games feel more rewarding and skill-based.
Combat Depth:
Liberating Areas: Having missions where players liberate areas from enemies (like RR robots) adds purpose to exploration and incentivizes combat beyond just story missions.
Additional Immersive Features:
New Arcs and Storylines: Including arcs like Goku in Yardrat and Otherworld Martial Arts would expand the lore and variety of playable content.
Combat Enhancements:
Slow Motion in Combat: A slow-motion feature during fights could create more cinematic, high-impact moments, especially for finishing moves or big attacks.
Better use of adaptive triggers and the PS5 controller to make the experience more immersive
Add weapons like Trunks Sword and Goku’s powerpole
Add a meditation feature to mediate and allow time to go by which will recover HP and will increase a small amount of XP points.
These are just some improvement recommendations that I have sent to Bandai. If DBZ Kakarot is enhanced with all these improvements and features I would definitely buy it again!. Would you ? What do you all think ?
Also any other suggestions on gameplay improvements? 😃
It’s 100% worth it. It is the definitive way to play through the story of DBZ and no game will take its place for a very long time.
Sparking zero would like a word
why?
@@Babysasuke3sparking zeros story does not come close to this
@@smd207is isn’t meant to lol it’s combat focused
@@aydengardner48 read his comment n the one he replied to
i want sparking zero to have the animations and looks of kakarot itd be perfect 😭
This was my first time experiencing the dbz story and I found that it was amazing
Man I’ve played this game atleast 3 times , games to fun and looks really good, just a true dbz fan who can’t get enough of, and just patently waiting for sparking zero , so been playing it again , wish they had super added to the game to up to tournament of power
They didn’t want to put everything out save sum content for sparking
Bought it and deleted it at first since I couldn't get into it. Then re-downloaded it and played it all the way thru and have bought multiple dlcs
That spiritbomb scene was a perfect example of some cutscenes needing a music background and it just sounded ackward
Thanks Whis for explaining the game
Kakarot was amazing, can't wait for Sparking Zero.
@@MrYugoWRC Less than 3 weeks. My body is ready.
It's the ultimate experience for DBZ story line.
They need to add pvp because once you finish the story line it’s completely over
The game is so beautiful but does not have enough content. That's the problem.
I'd still play this... Most definitely.
The first thing I did was adjusting the controls.
DBZ Kakarot is a work of Art and Love ❤
best DBZ game after Tenkaichi 3 and 2
THANK YOU, YES!
That and the random encounters that are a pain in the ass to deal with
The controller thing doesn't happen for me, maybe check your steam controller settings
underrated dragonball game
CC2 did a fantastic job on the representation for DBZ Kakarot and overrall playability. From the art style, flashy moves and overrall great voice acting, which is a lot to say for an anime game.
I wish in the future, JJBA, HxH, or even Full Metal Alchemist would get the same treatment some day.
I‘ve came back to this game for far too long and they need to make dlcs for the rest of super, broly, superhero even
(Am I asking for too much?)
The worst thing about the game is the side quests. They rely way too much on really boring "go here and collect this many items or talk to this random NPC" objectives. Thankfully the rest of the game is good enough so the objectives aren't a huge problem.
SPOILER:
This Game is getting DAIMA DLC!!!!
The final cutscene of the main game when their all on the lookout looks very awkward.
Yes, especially now that we're getting Daima DLC
I just wish they had the Bruce Faulconer soundtrack
same, or at least I wish there was more diversity in the tracks in the game. if they had different soundtracks in the game it would be an 8/10 instead of 7/10 for me
One of the best RPGs imo highly recommend it
Will the legendary edition include the Dragon ball Daima dlc?
Looks like we may just have to pay for the daima dlc separately,it may just be a part of the 3rd season pass.
Best dbz game I've played the story took longer to complete than sparking zero and the open world is beautiful
It’s everything I wanted Budokai 1 to be although I also loved that. The DB games I play these days, kakarot and sparking zero back to back and nothing else!!!!!!
THAT WHAT MY BROTHER BOUGHT AND WE GOT SCAM😭😭😭 I OPENED THE CASE AND IT SAID DRAGON BALL THE BREAKERS
Idk how that happened but don’t worry about it is ok
Having played this on both Ps4 and PC i gotta say i love this game finally getting around to the DLC but i would say it is definitely worth it especially since they are still going to add more DLC also
Best dbz game ever for me!
I love the world of do Dragon Ball and is very cool cocking, explore, train fight etc...
KAKAROT BETTER THAN SPARKING ZERO 😔
That is an opinion to have, yes
Hell naah fam kakarot is just pressing i have both sparking zeno is really trchincal and
Yes
I got the legendary edition for 35 bucks recently. Best value on a game I've bought in forever
@@RaJr-oy8ky Yeah anything around that price range feels like a steal
It kind of pisses me off that we're getting the new DB game and the new Bleach game so close together, I'm already trying to figure out how to make time for both lmao
i haven't seen any enemies past frieza, is there a 2nd game? or another updated game that includes the entire story+open world?
@@Can0fpepsi This game includes the entire story of Z, plus some additional arcs via DLC.
A TON is covered, I had just only played through the Namek arc when I made this vid.
@@JarboeGaming tyvm
Lately I been playing this on my ps5 the cut scenes makes this game so addictive
Yes. Undoubtedly.
I really loved this game. I just think the boss fights were so good but I do think in the Namek Saga the bosses started copy/pasting what other bosses did already which means even when I finished the game my favorite fight was Nappa.
can I just say the forms look cooler in this than they do in the show
Amazing work as usual. What are your thoughts on the new Bleach game btw?
I played a demo version of it and honestly loved it. If I can find it on a deal I’m gonna get it, just gotta wait 😂
Got the ultimate edition on sale a few months ago. On sale id say it is worth it if your a dragon ball fan. Just don’t expect in depth fighting mechanics or RPG elements. Also the DLCs are good additions, the 23rd world tournament being a highlight
THAT WHAT MT BROTHER BOUGHT AND WE GOT SCAM😭😭😭 I OPENED THE CASE AND IT SAID DRAGON BALL THE BREAKERS
Idk why but don’t worry about it Is ok
played the story so many times and have all the dlcs it’s so worth it in my opinion
Only - for me is you can’t turn off the damage numbers :(
I already own it with all the DLC, just never got around to it, gonna go play it after watching this!
Getting this game because I don’t got a ps5 for sparking😢
That’s ok this game is amazing trust me
Just got the game myself and so far looks amazing. I haven't been able to play a dragon ball game since Budokai Tenckaichi3 so this looks absolutely amazing to me so far❤
Ironically just for the game a month ago on sale and was a super solid game for dragon ball fans.
Seeing comments now about the fight system, overall I liked it but the super armor and blocking I can get behind as meh
as a person who did 100% this game on release, I only remember half of this lol
This 10 minutes explains all valuable of Kakarot
I'm not even gonna watch this...I'm currently playing Dragonball: Kakakarrot and it it's absolutely, positively worth it!!
Okay maybe I'll watch the video, I'm curious what you have to say and my algorithm just keep showing me the same smosh pit reddit episodes over and over. 😮💨
Just bought it on sale for 12 bucks. Can't wait 😁
I love Kakarot the gohan training are with Piccolo is perfect
You guys have to tey the pc version on a 32:9 ultra ultrawide monitor ❤❤
Better than sparking zero, don't even need to play
I was already bought when I saw the trailer first time and when I played the game I'd never thought to feel that excitation I once has on Budokai and Tenkaichi, a perfect DB game
Stop it
short answer playing now as a new player, YES i’m excited for the new game tho too
I just bought it & I’ll still watch this 😅
When the game initially released the biggest complaint I heard was that you don't really need any of the RPG mechanics to play the game bcz apparently the story mode gives you so much exp that you don't need to train your characters at all, after that I think a hard difficulty was added to the game but I haven't heard if that was enough to fix this problem
So I want to know from you and anybody else who has played this game if that problem still exists or not
they rlly need to make a dragon ball super kakarot. would love to see goku black and vegito blue in graphics like this.
No, Super is trash. Glad they’re doing Daima tho
@@battlememesbyomari25 nah super isnt that bad
The models look a hell of a lot better than the new SpongeBob movie
Got the deluxe edition on sale, it was cheaper than the regular edition. It's the open world Dragonball game I've always wanted, but my main complaint is the controls. It's a complete button salad, and if you put the game down for a while, you'll forget how to play it
