I bought the deluxe edition when it was at 50% off and couldn't understand its mixed reviews. It's also longer than most people realize because after clearing normal (and chaos missions I think), you'll unlock hard mode which is actually more fun since you'll be at a higher level cap with more tools at your disposal. There's also one pretty cool feature in the game that doesn't get mentioned enough for Gundam fans, SDGBA's music is fully customizable with your own music and you can also set a custom music to play whenever you unleash your ultimate attack. I used "Life Goes On" and damn it rocked! Also, don't worry about the steep prices for upgrading MSes at later levels (which are insanely expensive) because the currency you'll earn in later stages do scale accordingly. The game was previously pretty grindy and difficult (playing solo) but the last few game updates have made it pretty reasonable.
@@MorteWulfe Not too sure what you meant by skill based targetting. But if I recall correctly, the game has some auto-targeting (even when turned off in options) which can take a bit of getting used to. You don't really need to lock-on when fighting regular MSes, but for boss MSes/MAs, you'd generally want to use lock-on for strafing and targeting specific parts (for MA).
I still wish Epic Games would chuck a bunch of dosh at Bandai Namco Studios to bring the Extreme VS series to PC, cuz I legit can't see it happen any other way due to the dev team's loathing of the platform.
I picked this up on the Switch on sale for $20, and I agree. Not worth $60, but for $20, definitely! It's fun, just repetitive and a bit shallow. But given the lack of (good) Gundam games available in the West in general, and on non-Playstations specifically, it really scratches the itch. I'm also waiting for Gundam Breaker 4... hopefully that'll redeem the series after NGB. That one I think I'll get on PC.
So, SD Gundam Battle Alliance is a smaller scale (less enemies) ver. of Gundam Musou. Definitely agree to wait for a sale. Although, a little disappointed there was no review of the multiplayer co-op content. That could really enrich the experience.
If you have friends to play with, co-op certainly could make the game more enjoyable. The game has a pretty small playerbase on Steam, but I did see one lobby up to join while playing. The entire campaign can be played in co-op, you essentially just replace your partners with humans. I would say it feels less repetitive then the Gundam Musou games, but can still be repetitive to a degree. Gameplay is also, overall, better. Still agree that it's only worth it on sale, unless you are a huge Gundam fan with money to blow.
yknow what would make the game alot better is space battles because usually in every battle in space, your always on ground and they should probably add more suits and missions like battling the arianrhod fleet or the ELS from awakening of the trailblazer believe me it would be fun if we had space battles like that
I really enjoyed my time with SDBA. Even got to help several friends through it and group up with them for the super hard dlc missions. Not a perfect game by any means, but a fun time. Since you brought up the Dark Gundam and being able to fight it, maybe you should dive into ms saga, the gundam ff styled rpg.
was so ready to buy this on launch date when the reviews came it is more of a single player adventure. Was hoping it would be a great replacement for SD gundam online / capsule fighter which shutdown years ago.
You know what's good to play though? While waiting for GB4, you folks should try Megaton Musashi W. Specially if you're really can't wait and have some appreciation of Super Robo Taisen stuff. Ooooh, chefs kiss!
I switched boost and block when i started playing and it makes such a massive difference, being able to move around at speed with one hand and move the camera makes this game much better
The only gripe i have for the game is that it clearly needed more playable characters. Some of the series had like 4 playable units in them while others had only like 1 or 2 - Now I understand the fact that some series can only have like one or two because said series doesn't have alot of named/popular MS, but there are clearly some that could have had more like Gundam Wing, etc. (only Wing Zero and Epyon)
Agreed. I saw the Ryosei Go 3 and was hoping for it to be added. (Especially since the people I was playing with had me in the Gussion, a friend using the Lupis and the third using a ranged type MS (usually the full armor Gundam or the full armor unicorn) What made this feeling worse was there being a bunch of machines featured but were unuseable, Gyunei's Jagd Doga being 1 OF MANY examples of this.
I wasn't always a big fan of the Gundam SD series but they have grown on me over the years, especially the newer one like G generations and crossrays on ps4 , a huge amount MS and mobile armors and characters to choose from! Which also includes making your own pilot , it's pretty basic but it's fun and good to see. And a deceit amount of ships to choose from. Sd gundam battle alliance i really love playing it, the grind isn't too bad so far, at least as of a few months ago or so . The combat is fun and pretty fast paced and some of the more harder missions can be brutal if you haven't be leveling your MS or Characters to what the game suggest, although I am horrible at guarding , most time i forget i can guard, much less perform a perfect guard hahhaha . As for the price point, yea i cant disagree with you there 60 bucks plus the additional dlc is steep , but im a sucker for a gundam game that looks promising and fun even after beating it!
Honestly still love this game. Really like a good hack and slash game and I love Gundam so this was a fun match up for me. Trying to figure out the more advanced combo tech was nice as well. Loved using Gold Frame Amatsu Mina throughout the game along with Penelope once that DLC dropped.
As someone who usually avoids anything SD, I have to say this is one of my favourite Gundam games. Sadly as time goes on and the player count drops though it becomes increasingly hard to be able to efficiently clear later missions. I do play on console though, so I can't say if the PC community has been effected by this as much. It's a very grindy game and will have you replaying the same missions over and over, but that is negated somewhat by how quickly you can clear them once you've upgraded your mobile suits. Also the balance is basically non existent making certain mobile suits much better than others, especially when it comes to some of the DLC suits. It sounds like I'm ragging on it, but where it really shines is the game play. It's just fun to zoom around the map shooting and bashing enemies which to me is the most important part.
I initially ignored it because of the SD aspect but after playing it when it was available on gamepass I quickly got over that and started to enjoy it.
Ready Player one game is your bet. else Gundam vs Marvel or transformer or Armored Core Else no gonna happen so fast, because any expertise even Armored Core 6 is still hard to make it open world, meant japan still only few companies step in Open World like Horizon Dawn, Elden ring. (From Software . armored core can, but i doubt they would give full budget to gundam, probably need to have few IP like gundam + Armored core + ultraman to get that budget). Elden ring = passion. Sony horizon dawn = they force to build one shining game....They both exception. Any open world game is exception No much IP in japan willing to put that much of budget into this genre, because the customer acquisition is at least 50% or more worse. Unless armored core 6 sales can compare to other similar single player AAA game
SD gundam. Let that sink in. After shows like Gundam Wing, 8th ms team, Gundam 0083, Gundam 0080 'war in the pocket'. The entire franchise. Our choices are SD gundam(super deformed gundam), a gacha game, dynasty warriors afk mobs, and a game about building plastic Gundam models
the biggest problem for me was the leveling system which cost so much to level up your units that unless you did a lot of grinded you stayed with one suit the entire way through the story
Bro wdym? Capital is super easy to get now. The grind now is nothing compared to what it was before. Grinded every MS to max level before they changed the Capital amount drop rate
I may be a bit unreasonable, but I really wish they had more of the grunt suits. I would've loved a Jegan or a Leo to run around with xD Two units from Wing was a big letdown.
Honestly would love a port of Gundam Battlefield Record 0081. It alongside the Unicorn game for the PS3 were the last Gundam games that made you actually feel like you were having a genuine Gundam experience. My biggest issue with the SD games, Gundam Evolution and Gundam Battle Operation Games is they're nonsenses, and they try to find weird excuses to cram as many mechs into the games as possible. They're literally just video games with Gundam in it and arguably not games that give you a Gundam Experience. Ace Combat games do a better job giving you a Gundam like experience and they're not even Gundam games. To me the mecha are not the most important part, the experience, environment, characters and story are more important than the mechs. Meanwhile Gundam 0081 sticks specifically to mechs from the time period and universe. Meanwhile actually having a okay story, but I liked about the story was you could play both sides, not just one their own campaigns but interlocking stories. Basically the Federation campaign the Federation Protagonist is kind of hunting the Zeon protagonist. So both teams but heads numerous times in both campaigns and not everyone survives to the end of the game. Felt very much like a Gundam anime I highly respect it for that. Rather than just being a video game with Gundams in it it was a LEGIT Gundam Video Game. The game even had a very fun Coop Mode as well, where you could replay most of the missions in Coop and remade missions for Coop minus the story elements.
Whoah, this is my first time hearing about this, this looks awesome. Yep, going to review this, finishing up MS Saga, but this is going to move up to the top after, looks great.
I really wish there was more to coop. On launch you had a few people down for it back on Console, but after a whilenit became a "I'll do one run just so i have the achievement to plat the game"
I love it because it's better than nothing! But if I have a choice I kinda wish the flight/maneuverability and combat are a little bit closer to gundamvsgundam.
My personal favorite Gundam related game on steam right now is Super Robot Wars 30. However, it’s a turn-based strategy RPG, so it’s definitely not for everyone. The game is pretty easy (especially once you’ve unlocked some of the cheesier equipment and abilities or have upgraded some of your mechs to the maximum level). But it’s a fun story featuring a ton of characters from different series having fun interactions.
I would love to get into the series a total newbie can get in? i just started watching the og Gundam this month, also some gainax mech shows but never got to deep into the genre
@@Jaroartx The OG Gundam is a great starting point for the UC timeline of Gundam as it provides the basic setting info and background for a lot of the characters and conflicts in other UC shows. The direct sequel is Zeta Gundam, though there are some side story shows that take place simultaneously with the OG and in between Gundam and Zeta (08th MS Team, 0080 War in the Pocket, and Stardust Memory). I’d recommend War in the Pocket as a standalone experience, 08th MS Team if you don’t mind a somewhat rushed and corny romance story (it’s diet Romeo and Juliet), and Stardust Memory if you want to see how/why the villain faction of Zeta rose to prominence (and some really well-animated classic mecha fights).
@@Mattznick The biggest difference, aside from visuals, is that it’s all one big coherent campaign that has multiple different characters and mecha from different IPs working together. You get to see a lot of fun interactions between the different characters and factions-stuff like Ryoma Nagare from Getter Robo reminiscing with Amuro about the OYW, Zeon remnants and the Sleeves working alongside Zanscare (V Gundam) and Zaloudek (Knight’s & Magic). Maps, even early on, tend to be very large compared to cross generations, though this is balanced somewhat by units tending to have higher mobility and longer-range weapons. There are no random/custom recruits, nor can you build more mecha, so there’s a hard cap on how many pilots and units you can have. However, with DLC (only available on Steam in the U.S., Switch doesn’t let you access it because it was never officially released here on Switch), you’ll easily have three times as many pilots and mecha as you can deploy on any given mission. Even without DLC content there’s a large roster of characters you can recruit. Also, they really work to make each mech and pilot feel unique with in-mission dialogue, unique attacks, and special abilities. I highly recommend it if you like Gundam or any other Giant Robot anime. I just hope that they start localizing and releasing the rest of the series here because there are entries with a lot more series that SRW 30 didn’t have (Like Macross and Mobile Fighter G Gundam).
my greatest gripe about this game is definitely the repetitiveness to make it worse, several of the dlcs are locked until you finished every single mission in the game TWICE.
It's an okay game. Most peeps just turned off bu the SD suits you control and more perplexing is the cutscenes have full size suits. The gsme has a really good saxophone instrumental version of Meguriai. That's the Gundam song that goes "Yes My Sweet"
It was ok i was hoping it would be an updated version of SD Gundam Online. Plays very similar but it lacks the versus team battles . It also has a fraction of the unit selection SDGO had and I mean fraction... You want to test your skills in a Ball or one of the many Zaku variants or maybe you just want to pilot your favorite unit from a manga side story like the EX-Gundam or Nu-Gundam Mass Production Type, you name the unit you could pilot it or any of its variants from any time line. Missed potential. So sad cause if it had this it would have done so much better.
Yeah I'll be checking it out for sure! Another one on my radar that I haven't seen much about is Megaton Mushashi W: Wired, think it might be a sleeper hit.
If you are into tactical RPGs, SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays is really good. G Generation Genesis is good too, but it's not on PC. I imported a PS4 copy from Play Asia that had English text option. It's also available on Switch.
It's definitely over-priced, buy it on sale. But it is a pretty decent game with nice mechanics and the difficulty range is pretty good. Lots of various units that really do play quite differently like you mentioned.
realistic Gundam graphic with Unreal Engine 5 would be much better. As much as we like to nostalgia with 2000s graphic, time moves on and they need to catch up or they'll lose competition with other games. Would be even better if they also make full motion VR Gundam cockpit simulator, just like there are full motion racing simulator and full motion flight simulator.
As for story it really cool another universe/year gundam invaded, that is the missing piece on genesis and cross rays. Also we need more suit, sadly it will be bigger size and budget to make 😂
I played it, it entertained me but the further you progressed it became somewhat repetitive, if only the multiplayer mode had allowed you to advance together with friends and not just use it to farm it would have been more enjoyable. It is absurd to call your friend to play the same level 4 times. Then I saw the prices of the DLC and no thanks, don't abuse it either. As a veteran SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online player, I was pleased to see a graphical update to a similar system.
The best gundam game I played was Dynastic Warriors Gundam, I played all of them and have 3 of them on the ps3. I like the Dynastic Warriors formula, it was very fun with my friends specially fighting bosses and hard missions
I like the game it's alright, but I just wish we had the full size suits instead of SD. I still think Gundam Battle Operations 2 is a game that I've always wanted, but I wish more games adopted the gameplay style of GBO2, because you're mostly stuck with Gundam VS style controls/autolock-on-fighting. But GBO2 is only PVP mostly, with a few co-op missions to boot but the gameplay style is just so much more fun. The thing that makes GBO2 suffer is it's horrendous matchmaking that's just outright broken in the EU/US versions or just mostly the PC version itself and I still don't think they fixed it up to this day.
My only issue with GBO2 is the 'weighty-ness' was prioritized at the detriment of gameplay and handling. The delay in how quickly suits can act, combined with how prevalent stun combat is, just creates a rather unenjoyable interpretation of mobile suit combat that isn't even shown in other material. While I also wish there were more games based on suits feeling like proper war machines, I wouldn't want them to be based on GBO2. Even Crossfire, a Gundam game lauded as being one of the worst made, had better combat and a 'realistic' depiction of combat.
New game coming out called mecha break. I HIGHLY encourage anyone reading this comment to go look at the trailers. That game is everything Gundam should be
If only GBO2 was good enough on Steam compared to its peak on PS4, it would definitely take a good spot, even if it's a gacha. Adding to that, if they could add cross-progression between PSN and Steam accounts it would be even better
I really really get this whole no good gundam games thing. I have been wanting a good one for so very long. And while this ones ok i would not say its what im wanting.
I saw it on gamepass when i bought my Xbox Series X a while back, played it a bit. thought it was neat. Im not really a fan of SD Gundam. I saw it had Nu gundam and i tried it out. Surprising though its also on PC Gamepass and your progression also carries over between the two.
Also If your Looking for Great PC gundam games, look up Modded Boost its a Modded Version of Gundam Vs Extreme Boost for the PS3 Emulator,it adds Alot of new Units from Later titles and Some New Maps. You can Also Play with friends Online. Its the only way PC will get the VS series Sadly
I believe the best gundam game would be something similar to xenoverse. What i mean by that would have the customization of gundam breakers but the gameplay of Gundam versus.
Without even watching; Short answer, no. Long answer......eh? It's good for what it is, closest thing we're gonna see to a DW gundam on PC, decent roster though always wishing for a few more here and there. What ultimately killed it for me is the combat, especially against the bosses in hard and EX missions. Relying way too much on a perfect guard/parry system to get bosses in a break state so that you can actually deal damage, otherwise you do next to nothing to them and playing keep away until then cause if they get you they will wreck your ass on harder difficulties. It has been a while, maybe I just sucked at the parry mechanic or it was just plain jank, but I found myself brute forcing a lot of the later bosses, the EX missions though finally broke me. 6.5/10, slightly above average.
So while not a gundam game, megaton musashi w wired is a good gundambreakers like game, whit better gameplay but less costumizebility tho still great in terms of that just not gb level. What it does have is mazinger getter, combattler v and voltes v. So if you want something while waiting for the actual gb4 this one is very solid

It strikes me as a Gundam Musou" minus the "musou-ness" and SD. As one who didn't mind the Dynasty Worriors thing (and actually loath how Reborn on the PS3 was the last of them 😭) will have to check this out
@JarboeGaming It's interesting because on one hand, who doesn't love their hack-n-slash affairs. At the same time, they love to keep Gundam on a least when it comes to releasing games outside of the homeland. Can definitely see a case of stockholm syndrome 🤔 for a lot of folk. On the other side, SD Gundam is quite divisive, so this would definitely be out of consideration unless running across one of these vids/ reviews, or morbid curiosity winning over one day 😆
Game is fun for the first hours. Sadly when you realize you are playing the same like 8 maps over and over again it gets pretty annoying. I played it alot cause of all the suits I love that are in it. Definitely worth the $20-30 range. It does feel like its missing some elements.
Because every one of these games have early ps3 graphics, idk why, but it's like they have a part of the contract saying that they have to have the worst graphics ever put into gaming
There is a mod that will let you get capital for free. The grind is extremely extremely rough due to the captial costs... its cheating but it'll let you experience higher levels faster.
I tried to like this game... but I just never liked the Super Deformed line of Gundam to begin with and that severely hampered my enjoyment of this game.
for someone who played alot of gundam seed destiny: zaft vs rengou 2+(long name i know), i cant look at the gameplay of battle aliance and not feel like its VERY mediocre. not just the combat is pretty boring, but even the story mode is just bland. the gundam vs on psp was also far more fun to play around and unlock stuff. its not a bad game, but i wouldnt count it as GOOD either. i would actually put sd g generation cross rays above it, and even that one doesnt compare with the really good sd g gen games. like DS(which looked like shit even back in the game, but is so much fun) or overworld. hell, even spirits, with its insane amount of bullshite, and no real good map to grind i would argue was a better game, since it was the first to introduce the "size" mechanic to the franchise. overall, we dont really have much choice on PC. but since we will be getting the next gundam breaker, and its based of gundam breaker 3, an AMAZING game. the only thing we are missing is the gundam extreme vs. which is the best of the gundam vs franchise. compared to those games, battle alliance is just... meh.
This game is good. I wouldn't say it's amazing due to some of the grind requirement but the gameplay is very solid imo
The grind isn't bad if you can do the highest level boss rush missions I struggle alittle so it's still bad for me though 😅

Not gonna lie. Playing the God Gundam against Devil gundam was like extasis trip of epicness
yknow what would make the game alot better is space battles because usually in every battle in space, your always on ground and they should probably add more suits and missions like battling the arianrhod fleet or the ELS from awakening of the trailblazer believe me it would be fun if we had space battles like that
I really enjoyed my time with SDBA. Even got to help several friends through it and group up with them for the super hard dlc missions. Not a perfect game by any means, but a fun time.
Since you brought up the Dark Gundam and being able to fight it, maybe you should dive into ms saga, the gundam ff styled rpg.
This one has caught my eye and will be getting a video in the future!
@JarboeGaming awesome. it's a fun, has a couple big difficulty spikes but there is a guide on GameFAQS by Dragen that will help a ton.
Thanks for giving this game some love.
was so ready to buy this on launch date when the reviews came it is more of a single player adventure. Was hoping it would be a great replacement for SD gundam online / capsule fighter which shutdown years ago.
God I wish they would release a new home version of those old Gundam games from like the PS2... Specifically the Gundam VS ZAFT ones
Literally that was the first thing I did, and upped the camera speed. Now if only you could turn off the subtitles and big talking character faces
The only gripe i have for the game is that it clearly needed more playable characters. Some of the series had like 4 playable units in them while others had only like 1 or 2
- Now I understand the fact that some series can only have like one or two because said series doesn't have alot of named/popular MS, but there are clearly some that could have had more like Gundam Wing, etc. (only Wing Zero and Epyon)
100% agree, was sad to not see the Heavyarms, Deathscythe, Tallgeese, etc. Felt like those should've been auto-include.
Wing Zero should've been the endless waltz version. The version they used doesn't even utilize its plane mode in any of its attacks.
BEC, which continued to create classic Gundam games during the PS1 and PS2 eras, unfortunately disbanded in 2011.
Im convinced that SDGO was the best Gundam game made. All Bandai needs to do is literally make a copy of the game
the game was fun and the story was cute, getting to see extra life in alot of stories is what sold it for me as a long time gundam fan
I'm waiting a semi realistic Gundam game, maybe with the cockpit view
Yeah keep waiting
@@williamcorey4700 lmao
Maybe you should try gundam side story 0079 rise from the ashes
MechWarrior but Gundam would be great
I wasn't always a big fan of the Gundam SD series but they have grown on me over the years, especially the newer one like G generations and crossrays on ps4 , a huge amount MS and mobile armors and characters to choose from!
The only thing that turns me off from SD is whenever they have those anime eyes
Honestly, I would've vastly preferred if the game wasnt in the "SD Style", but, it grew on me over time to the point where I don't mind it was much.
@@burg3575 yea true hahaha
Honestly still love this game. Really like a good hack and slash game and I love Gundam so this was a fun match up for me. Trying to figure out the more advanced combo tech was nice as well. Loved using Gold Frame Amatsu Mina throughout the game along with Penelope once that DLC dropped.
"this is the first game I remember playing as the Dark Gundam"
Well then we need some PS1 Gundam Battle Assault 2 asap.
Imagine a open world gundam game
I’m still hoping for that
@@300kyuubi Me to brother me to !!
Ready Player one game is your bet. else Gundam vs Marvel or transformer or Armored Core
Else no gonna happen so fast, because any expertise even Armored Core 6 is still hard to make it open world, meant japan still only few companies step in Open World like Horizon Dawn, Elden ring. (From Software . armored core can, but i doubt they would give full budget to gundam, probably need to have few IP like gundam + Armored core + ultraman to get that budget). Elden ring = passion. Sony horizon dawn = they force to build one shining game....They both exception. Any open world game is exception
No much IP in japan willing to put that much of budget into this genre, because the customer acquisition is at least 50% or more worse. Unless armored core 6 sales can compare to other similar single player AAA game
Have you try MS saga on ps2 ? It is open world but turn based gundam game
@@haseokun8468 what no thanks for putting me on game
Damn shame, I hope one day the franchise gets a game worthy of it
but they haven't made a new dynasty warriors gundam game is over 10 years?
the biggest problem for me was the leveling system which cost so much to level up your units that unless you did a lot of grinded you stayed with one suit the entire way through the story
Bro wdym? Capital is super easy to get now. The grind now is nothing compared to what it was before. Grinded every MS to max level before they changed the Capital amount drop rate
@@Zorkrum ya I played at launch
@redlord4321 ok, if I remember correctly you could degrade and use the resources for a different ms
Dark Gundam. What’s that?
That’s God and Devil Gundam :P
I was really hoping that this game was a true sequel to SD Gundam Capsule Fighter, and I was disappointed when it wasn’t. I enjoyed the game tho
While GB4 reach, you should give a chance to Megaton Musashi W. Man that game came out of nowhere and is fun as hell.
They really need to remaster the Dynasty warriors gundam games for newer consoles and pc...freaking loved those games...
I’d recommend War in the Pocket as a standalone experience, 08th MS Team if you don’t mind a somewhat rushed and corny romance story (it’s diet Romeo and Juliet), and Stardust Memory if you want to see how/why the villain faction of Zeta rose to prominence (and some really well-animated classic mecha fights).
how different is it to SD G Generation Cross Rays?
Gundam battle alliance was the best game ever for me so much so that I have every gundams max level such a fun game 😭🙌🏽
my greatest gripe about this game is definitely the repetitiveness
to make it worse, several of the dlcs are locked until you finished every single mission in the game TWICE.
It's an okay game. Most peeps just turned off bu the SD suits you control and more perplexing is the cutscenes have full size suits.
The gsme has a really good saxophone instrumental version of Meguriai. That's the Gundam song that goes "Yes My Sweet"
wait for Gundam Breaker 4 to be out on steam end of this year
It was ok i was hoping it would be an updated version of SD Gundam Online. So sad cause if it had this it would have done so much better.
i know its not gundam technically, but mecha break is releasing soon and it looks amazing, you should try it when it comes out
Yeah I'll be checking it out for sure!
I'll be checking out Cross Rays in the future!
Waiting on Gundam Breaker 4, can't wait to try out Destiny Spec II and Mighty Strike Freedom
I remember that old SD Gundam in SEA server you could play for free
True. The nostalgic feels from SDGO are still not found in the latest sd gundam game
You can fight the dark gundam (and play as it) in Gundam Battle Assault 2.
I wish they would bring extreme vs series to PC
That would be incredible
this was the spiritual sucessor of sd gundam online, but this time bandai took the control back instead of korean developer
The best gundam game I played was Dynastic Warriors Gundam, I played all of them and have 3 of them on the ps3. I like the Dynastic Warriors formula, it was very fun with my friends specially fighting bosses and hard missions
Really hoping breaker 4 have more grunt suits than 3 andmore customisation options.
I wish that bandai would just outsource to fromsoft or konami or something. So that we can have a true to life, and modern gundam game.
SD Gundam Capsule Fighter is still the best PC Gundam Game. RIP SDGO
New game coming out called mecha break. I HIGHLY encourage anyone reading this comment to go look at the trailers. That game is everything Gundam should be
Looks worth checking out for sure! I'll keep my eye on this one
If only GBO2 was good enough on Steam compared to its peak on PS4, it would definitely take a good spot, even if it's a gacha.
Adding to that, if they could add cross-progression between PSN and Steam accounts it would be even better
Nice...but can you review the Another PS2 Gundam Game which is called Mobile Suit Gundam Climax U.C. which is only has Japanese release only.
This one is on my radar, currently playing through MS Saga, but will be checking it out in the future!
If you want the best, play SD gundam G Generation Cross Rays.
It's called DEVIL GUNDAM REEEEEE
I want another Dynasty Warriors Gundam game =(
Dynasty Gundam for PS3 was great❤
❤great game had me hooked for a long time took a break haven’t been back on for a while now 😢
So while not a gundam game, megaton musashi w wired is a good gundambreakers like game, whit better gameplay but less costumizebility tho still great in terms of that just not gb level. What it does have is mazinger getter, combattler v and voltes v. So if you want something while waiting for the actual gb4 this one is very solid
Do you like the Gundam series? YES, do you like cute silly looking munchkin super fighting robots? YES, are you drawn to the allure of SD looking robot characters? YES buy this game! The better it does the more Bamco will see "Global's" interest in Gundam games.
Cross rays is good too if you like to see the animations
i mean theres this, new gundam breaker and the new gundam breaker 4 dropping on the 29th but sd gundam battle alliance is fun asf
It strikes me as a Gundam Musou" minus the "musou-ness" and SD.
As one who didn't mind the Dynasty Worriors thing (and actually loath how Reborn on the PS3 was the last of them 😭) will have to check this out
If you enjoyed the DW games, I think you'll enjoy this. Would recommend to wait for a sale though personally.
On the other side, SD Gundam is quite divisive, so this would definitely be out of consideration unless running across one of these vids/ reviews, or morbid curiosity winning over one day 😆
Yeah ok this is just gundam xenoverse
Story wise? Yeah, but it lacks the customization options.
Nothing beats SDGO
i would love to see the Dynasty Warriors gundam games release on steam.
Nah I am good. I would like a gbo3.
Game is fun for the first hours. Sadly when you realize you are playing the same like 8 maps over and over again it gets pretty annoying. I played it alot cause of all the suits I love that are in it. Definitely worth the $20-30 range. It does feel like its missing some elements.
Needs more active players but super fun
this kind of reminds me of DB xenoverse with a gundam skin on it. it does look like fun though
You never play gundam warriors?
I have no idea why they didnt port braeker 2 or 3 to pc but eh.
Hopefully Breaker 4 will be a good sequel
Just wait for breaker 4
Pc is getting breaker 4 and it looks amazing so far.
Yes, looking forward to it!
So it's the gundam version of xenoverse.
This? No. Exvs is
infighter is kinda OP vs bosses, some of them got infinite loops(I am looking at you gouf custom!)
Because every one of these games have early ps3 graphics, idk why, but it's like they have a part of the contract saying that they have to have the worst graphics ever put into gaming
How about the spoilers? I'm a new fan so I've seen very little of Gundam and don't want to get spoiled on the seasons I haven't seen
You'll definitely get sort of spoiled on some key events, so I'd tread carefully
Honestly I wish Tecmo Koei would make a new dynasty warriors gundam game...
for someone who played alot of gundam seed destiny: zaft vs rengou 2+(long name i know), i cant look at the gameplay of battle aliance and not feel like its VERY mediocre. not just the combat is pretty boring, but even the story mode is just bland. the gundam vs on psp was also far more fun to play around and unlock stuff.
its not a bad game, but i wouldnt count it as GOOD either. i would actually put sd g generation cross rays above it, and even that one doesnt compare with the really good sd g gen games. like DS(which looked like shit even back in the game, but is so much fun) or overworld. hell, even spirits, with its insane amount of bullshite, and no real good map to grind i would argue was a better game, since it was the first to introduce the "size" mechanic to the franchise.
overall, we dont really have much choice on PC. but since we will be getting the next gundam breaker, and its based of gundam breaker 3, an AMAZING game. the only thing we are missing is the gundam extreme vs. which is the best of the gundam vs franchise.
compared to those games, battle alliance is just... meh.
GunEvo at least now runs on Private Servers. Still a shame that BamCo couldnt give less fucks
just killing time until GB4
I had such high hopes for battle operations 2. Fucking great game bogged down by shitty matchmaking and greed.
waiting for breaker 4
