    I shoot a Lilja 21" drop-in barrel on a CZ457 action and a Timney trigger. This barreled action sits in an MDT XRS almost chassis. It shoots SK ok, but it loves Eley Match, Tenex, and even Team. It also loves Lapua Center-X. When changing between Eley and Lapua, I also have to adjust the headspace or the groups don't shrink like they do with proper headspacing.

    I’m a fan of the 22 creedmoor, mine shoots 80.5 and 85.5 grain Bergers under a dime size hole at 100 yards. Love it! Also, it’s a bull barrel, bench rest only, 15.5 LBS.

    I have a Shilen SS select match on my 22 creedmoor, shoots 85.5 grain Bergers under 1/2 MOA. I’m a fan of their barrels. Going to buy another one for my 6 GT. If you live in north Texas, I would advise going to the spring garage sale, you’ll meet some awesome Americans and get to see the barrel making process in action. Highly worth the visit!!!!

    First off I appreciate the time effort and money that you spent making this video! Here is my question/observation/statement: I assume (and we ALL know what that does!) that most competition shooters LOT test their ammo to find the one that shoots the best and reduces the flyers in their particular rifle. Well, why would someone not do the same with the cheaper ammo to see if they can eliminate or reduce the flyers? The CCI and Federal seemed to have some real promise in your rifle.Imagine lot testing those for BEST accuracy. Just my thoughts.

    Hi, thanks for the review and showing the installation. I checked their website on only saw maybe 2 sizes?? I'm interested in running a Savage B series with a "V" barrel, .80 in. Are these universal, or have to match your specific barrel diameter?

  • @MrLobos55
    @MrLobos55 21 день тому

    I’ve got one that has turned into quite the “build” or what should be a build for how much I’ve got into it now. Heavy rifle, quickly found out if I wanted to keep it for south Texas and any other game I may go after in the future I needed to shave weight.. fluted barrel from LRI, ag composites stock and a Kgm 65 can as I love shooting suppressed on everything now, Scope is a Razor Lht 4.5-22x50 and it’s great as it’s nice and light.. accuracy is something I’m chasing currently, seems like anything 135gr and more shoots great long as you do your part, the precision hunter 143s do well but I don’t want to hunt with them as I’ve been a Barnes guy for a few years now. Overall a great rifle to get into and barrel for what these cost and I’m looking forward to using it for many many years and passing it down. Good video MWLR!

      Those Hornady Precision 143 Eld-X bullets are fantastic for hunting. That's all I use in my family's 4 Creedmoors and we've all taken several deer including a couple bucks in the 150's with zero issues.

  • @hotchihuahua1546

    That’s for the video ! 👍 Finding less expensive ammo that shoots consistently as well as the expensive stuff is ultimately not going to be achieved ! Glad it can save you money in practice , before you bring out the expensive stuff in competition ! 😁

    What’s your thoughts on it? Would you recommend the 22 Creedmore over others in its classification? I ask because from what I’ve seen and read it out performs and has a lot more support than any of the same classification cartridges. Thanks in advance!

    • @Go__Birds
      @Go__Birds 20 днів тому

      Best in it's class! It's extremely easy to load for, like all of the Creeds. I have an 18" shooting 88 eld-m at 3130. It has support from all the major companies for dies and brass. It's a 22 Nosler killer. 22 Arc is great in the AR platform. 22 Cred dominates in a bolt rifle. That's my opinion, mostly because I own one and have a barrel on order for another

    • @matthewkissick4045
      @matthewkissick4045 19 днів тому

      @ it’s a beauty for sure! Have you taken any game with it yet? If so what and how did it do?

    • @Go__Birds
      @Go__Birds 19 днів тому

      @matthewkissick4045 just finished up load development. I have a DNT Thermnight coming for night coyote hunting. In Utah, you can't hunt with thermals or night vision July - December. 22 Creed looks pretty vicious on dogs and deer. Hopefully this bullet holds together at distance. I might have to drop it down a node. We will be testing it out to 1,200 Thanksgiving weekend

    • @StreetLight099
      @StreetLight099 14 днів тому

      @@Go__Birdsthe factory ammo must be horrifically underpowered if you’re able to get nearly 3100 FPS from an 88gr bullet out of an 18” barrel. I’ve watched some videos of people doing velocity tests with Hornady factory ammo and they weren’t getting anywhere near that

    • @Go__Birds
      @Go__Birds 14 днів тому

      @StreetLight099 If you look at the Hornady book for 88-90 grain bullets, 3100 is middle of the road. I do have a shorter barrel than they probably test with. They have 3300 as top speed. What are people getting with factory ammo?

    Why are you making excuses on how bad the MKII shoots. How can you expect low tier shelf guns to shoot a perfect group? Aren't you expecting too much out of a product that can't meet the quality that it's not design for?

    Have you reviewed the jard 457 trigger. Ive been tring to upgrade my 457 varmint so i can do some local competitions but my rifle is lefthanddd and i cant find an affordable chassis that isnt custom and the timney will not fit the lefthand gun fo whatever reason. Jard has a lefthand trigger but i would like to see a review before i spend 200 buck.

    Just getting back to .22 after spending the past 15 years with pcp air rifles and field target. I gotta be honest those are nice guns but I’m not impressed with any of those groups. A $200 pcp rifle could out shoot any of them at 50 yards.

    Couple questions. When are you going to make some more videos? Second, I have that Timney trigger in my Ruger precision rimfire. What they call an 8oz take up in the first stage, I call creep. It is 8oz but then you hit the wall and mine breaks at 1.5 lbs. Have you tried to adjust that takeup and have you tried to get under 1.5lb?
