I just shot my first prs match with a 10/22 bull barrel and good trigger didn’t do bad but just ordered a Bergara b-14 can’t wait to get to shooting with it! Thanks for all your shooting information!
Hey Chris, just found this video and really appreciate it. I'm an old beginner and don't have much experience or guidance other that great U-Tubes like yours. Would really like to see more info on what I should expect to see from my bore scope. I'm not really sure how clean you can expect the chamber to get after several hundred rounds. It was really helpful to see your before and after shots. I shoot at an outdoor range that usually is fairly windy so I have a hard time telling if my cleaning really helped or not. Keep up the good work, really enjoy your channel.
Hey man, good video. Maybe it's just terminology differences but whenever I hear somebody say a carbon ring. I generally associate it with excess buildup in the chamber that's not easily removable. I could be wrong, but I believe what you're seeing is just normal build up and It seemed like it was fairly easy for you to remove.
I have an old 20-inch Marlin model 60 with the wooden stock and a tasco 3-9x40 scope on top of it, that does 5 shots in a ragged hole at 50 If I do my part. It's the squirrel slayer. I clean it by spraying the mechanism with brake parts cleaner and a light brushing then lube, I run a bore snake maybe a couple of times a year if I don't get the rifle wet, I've never heard of a "carbon ring" but it hasn't bothered me lol.
Nice shooting Chris . Did you say that was a carbon fiber barrel ? That’s probably as good as I’ve ever seen one shoot . I have no idea how you shoot so well off a bipod . I can’t come close to that without a bench rest with adjustable windage and elevation. Yeah , I think the carbon ring did make a diff. As always, I enjoy your stuff . Kudos to your bud on a beautiful build !
Bud!!.. great content!!! I think you must do more of these of you can.. testing and showing loaned rifles. What interested me was the carbon ring test(??) at 500 rounds. For sure an improvement.. and your comment or reminder that you did not foul the barrel before starting at target 1 was very helpful. I am from the school of never cleaning my 22's. BIG MISTAKE!!! Really enjoying your content Bud.. keep going! No bullshit on this channel, you keep it honest and it is HUGELY appreciated!!!
Don't take that boat anchor to a competition. I guess for some gun that might be ok but R50 is good ammo and it should be doing better. It doesn't seem like RWS is a good ammo for that barrel. Try a longer ammo like Elle or Center-X. If the gun is a shooter it should be touching holes at 100 yards.
I enjoy your videos and the length you will go to, to explain or demonstrate whatever point your trying to make...but... Cardboard can be found all over the planet for FREE. Be professional & please use it behind your targets... you can't measure reliably these raggedy ass looking bullet holes and they just minimize our efforts to demonstrate these precision weapons capabilities. Just my opinion & 2¢ worth...charlie curmudgeon
Very nice build and great shooting. The carbon ring didn't look to bad but made a big difference in my opinion after cleaning. WAY TO GO.
Thanks man!
Awesome!! 2 Sec. Tom coming in clutch with the needed info!!
Would love to see Matrix pro compared to ACC Elite.
If you print your targets on card stock, you will have more precise holes.

Thanks man!
Nice to see a little IBS once in awhile good stuff 👍not so easy to clean a card like some people think 🤔
Nice shooting. I like the set up. Been thinking of a remix build. Can you tell me where you purchased the target marked machine services??
Great video shows cleaning is really the way to go
Living in a high humidity and salt atmosphere I tend to clean every time looks like a good call
For sure!
That's some great shooting on a benchrest target. 👍🏼
...Especially with a bipod!
Thank you
Great Vids! I've seen that Machine Services Inc. color benchrest target on several of your vids. Where can those be purchased from?

Lot test some Lapua X-Act for best performance. Nothing can hold a candle to it.
Great shooting Chris, that bangers worth some serious Jingle
No doubt.

Atta boy. Let me know whenever you want to get rid of it. I want it!!!!
@@tomwyman6721 I think I'll keep this one. 🤣
Excellent! That was great shooting! BR guys shoot with crazy high dollar rests and you did that with a bipod and a bag? very impressive! 😊
Thanks man
Great video. What target is that and can it be purchased
Thats what I came to ask... been searching online with no luck since video stopped

It’s a krieger barrel but not a carbon barrel. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Cool video, thank you. 🙇♂️ Bottom line price for this rig as it sits please? 🙏
A lot lol
Probably both kidneys and a first born child! 🤣 rough estimate on a build like that is 7-8k or more depending on options and smithing.
@@midwest_long_range Thank you. That rig had a lot of bling and it looked real fun to shoot. 👍👍
If I had that much money in that gun and it shot like that I would be absolutely sick

Man great shooting!! The wind moving ur target around sure didn't help
Thanks. Interesting. Blessings
Would that bipod work well for bench rest a r a tournament does it swivel left to right
What's the total cost of the Rim X build ?
I'm wondering where I can get those targets that you use?
Not bad at all big fella. Hell of a rig though $$$$$
Yeah it’s slick, some day I can have my own nice stuff lol
@@midwest_long_range you deserve it buddy but the way the government is fucking the economy toilet paper will be worth more than guns lol
My marlin model 60 from Walmart shoots just a nice ?????
🤣🤣
Let see what it does at 100 and 150 and further
