Agree with the Smoke Wagon. I may be in the minority but I wasn’t pleased with the Knob Creek 18. My worst purchase was Caribou Crossing, 🤦🏼‍♂️.

ive been into bourbon less than 2 years, but, all BT products are impossible to find in OH, accept reg BT and Weller SR, ive never had any other than that, someday, i hope doesnt help that i work on Saturday (OH releases on sat morning)

I have that bottle of Balcones and I felt the same. THEN it got hotter than a Hooter's honey's heinie and I finally decided to forgo my sophisticated whisky enthusiast's insistence on always drinking neat and put that whisky on a rock and jumping Jesus on a pogo-stick, bottom-shelf Balcones is MADE to be drunk on ice! Who knew?

Anything dickel esp the 8 year bourbon, terrible! Man the JD hate in above comments? Reg jd, jd bonded, bonded rye & triple mash.. Yeah drinkable but not good imo. Probably never drink those ever again. Reg jd is only for coke and whiskey so it's fine. But the JD SiB BP whiskey & the JD SiB BP rye are 2 of my favorites. The jd10 and 12 are also great but hard to get.

Not sure why you are stating this is the widest available batch to date. What is this based minus a few friends getting it. The drop numbers havent beem revealed. Most stores only got 1 or 2. Many didnt get any. But again it just started dropping. I like your videos but this is click bait.

Love me some stag Junior. My favorite batch would have to be batch 14, followed by 22a. Batch 12 is also pretty good.

I will say this - I was at Buffalo Trace Distillery last week, and they were literally using multiple Weller and George T. Stagg stamped barrels to train the competition rollers. The lady also in the line said that in general their allocations are ramping up - as of June-ish - and they will be pumping out more of their daily 4 at the distillery. I think this info would make this Stagg claim being more available a lot more believable. So I'm hoping to find one myself. I've heard 24A is much different of a profile compared to the past batches, and it's approachable.

Was able to pick up 2 bottles for $48 on sale at a grocery store. I'm debating if I should pick up the other 2 for $48.

i still havent tried stagg yet, i couldn't justify paying > $50 for an single ounce pour in bars/restaurants (of course i couldn't find a bottle any where either but i'm thinking about paying $200 online once i graduate from residency next year as a present for myself for finishing to see what the hype is about). Glad like you said these are more "available". hopefully to see them on the shelf soon (sike)

Doesn't really make sense to compare the (almost) secondary price of the EHT BP to the (above) MSRP price of the Stagg. MSRP for Stagg is ~$55-65 and ~$70-80 for EHT BP and secondary for current batches of Stagg is ~$160-180 and ~$325-350 for EHT BP. I'd probably rather have EHT BP at MSRP but at secondary, I'd take 2 good Stagg batches over 1 EHT BP any day. Also think EHTs are generally 6-8 years old while Staggs are closer to 7-9 years old ("aged for nearly a decade" per the bottle) but can't really go wrong with either option. Cheers!

I haven't seen it in many years. The last time I bought it, was back before the rip off prices, at Bottle King in Livingston, NJ.

I only have batches 18, 22A and 22B. Batch 18 is my favorite of those three. Hope to find any Stagg batch.

Found one on the shelf at total wine for $62. Unfortunately it was a limit 1 per person

I have seen this bottle at nearly 3x retail, it’s just a pass at that value point. I have only had batches 11-13, 13 & 12 were the best of the three, but that was years ago!

Been hunting for this in NJ since it started dropping two weeks ago and no luck so far, but in my hunting I did get some EHT SiB and Weller 107 at SRP so I can't complain
