- Today we go bourbon hunting at a couple stores I haven't been to in a long time. The second store has some of the best prices I've seen while bourbon hunting in a very long time! What would you have picked up at these stores? Anything you haven't had before? If you enjoy these bourbon hunting adventures let me know!

Westland Coldfoot is a Cask Strength American Single Malt whiskey out of Oregon. As a Seattle WA resident but former NJ Resident I sell a lot of these at the store I work at. Let’s Go Devils!
JD Sinatra was too high at the first place. Second stop was good for just general prices (just about everything). Would be great to have them as my local neighborhood liquor store. Keep on huntin'!
The second store had a good selection also . The Redwood collection is something I am looking for. I have to find a few bottles at a time.

If you find New Riff Malted Rye get it. Local store recommended and I didn't realize it was single malt and not a scotch fan. This stuff is good

The Laws Whiskey is from Denver Colorado, just a couple states off. They make good stuff, I like their Four Grain Straight Bourbon.
Hemingway Rye is my new favorite everyday rye. Amazing. Pick one up for yourself. Cheers
Surprised to see that Dickel/Leopold Bros still priced at $119. In my area they couldn't sell those and they sat on shelves for 2 years until Binny's finally dropped it all the way to $49.99

Would have got the OF SBBP and the Nashville barrel company bottle I've never had a bad one. Everything else is pretty much in my are but those really odd bottles but maybe with trying one and see. Enjoy!!

Been grabbing the New Riff Single Barrel too much lately. There’s a bunch of store picks around in Massachusetts and they’re delicious imo.
The 3 cord is from Michigan, sourced juice from 4 states. A finished product.

Don’t sleep on the new sagamore small batch. They recently released their small batch of 4-6 yr blend of 100% their own distillate. It released in April when I was up that way and toured and I snagged a bottle and for 40 bucks can’t go wrong

OF SBBS for $80, JD SBBS rye for $70, even the four roses barrel strength for $90 is fair

I picked up a bottle of the 1792 Full Proof tonight and it was an allocated bottle at Liquor Barn. Limited to one per person. Looked like yours had no restrictions? Hmm

If that Cream of Kentucky was bourbon I would have taken it at a decent price. Picked up an ECBP B524 today but only saw it in one store.

Next time you're near the Total Wine in Cherry Hill, stop in and grab a bottle of the Slaughter House whiskey. It's currently my favorite every day sipper and I'm curious what you think of it.

I have had both of the Spirits of French Lick William Dalton and Morning Glory. Both are great. I have not had the other two though.

I have one already so I tend to keep the harder to find bottles on the shelves for others. Whether it’s a good idea or not idk. I try to leave them for those who don’t have them

@@CharleyCarey exactly, store pick or not, they’re both probably fantastic, I just like how picks hone in a little bit on aspect of the flavor wheel. Make for a fun comparison.

Rare Character is some of the most over priced stuff on the market. Not quite Lost Lantern levels of sillyness for a sourced whiskey but pretty close. Fourgate and Old Carter still take the crown. Crazy the markup those brands attempt to get on their sourced whiskey. Often its straight sourced and bottled and not even blended or anything interesting. At least most Rare Character seems to be finished now and same can be said for Fourgate.

Those Stellum Bourbons have dropped in price drastically lately. The one went from $89-99 to now $30-40 (really good for forty bucks not worth the $100)

Jim Beam black got too much hype for a $20 bottle. It's pretty bad, IMO. It's really just the same old black label just with a 7 on it. The old ones taste pretty much identical.
