Bourbon Hunting in New Jersey! They Want How Much!

- Today we go to a few stores that were said to be insanely over priced. One was a great spot while the other is just an insane museum that you should walk into to get a great laugh! We saw all the Pappy Van Winkles, BTAC Bottles, and Willett Purple Tops! What would you have bought?

Vraj at Witty's is a great guy! Always wants to talk bourbon and always willing to sample his store picks! Yes, some of the stuff in the glass case is high, but you're not finding it cheaper anywhere else!
The first store had great shelf prices. The glass case wasn't too bad, especially compared to MD'S prices.
First store had decent prices and a nice selection.
At the 2nd shop - Barrel Seagrass Rye at $75 is actually a good price
as a southern ohio resident, it is wild to see how many bottles are on the shelf for yall
Wittys is a solid store for north NJ.
Beechwood had only bottle with a decent price: James E Pepper --- he was charging $78 for a commonly found $70 bottle.

I go to Witty's often and 5 years ago or so you could buy EH Taylor Small Batch for $39.99 daily, it was always on the shelf at that price... crazy. Never behind the counter, no asking if they have it, no questions asked, it was always there on the shelf. Then of course Buffalo Trace seemed to make all their Bourbons allocated and it disappeared everywhere, unbelievable! Now when I find a EH Taylor Small Batch it's $150 plus, of course I have to ask the price because it's always behind the counter now. Sorry for the rant, Witty's in Rahway always had good prices for the on shelf bourbons, Great Video as usual!!

I told you that the shelf prices at Witty’s are pretty solid and they have a great selection too. I’ve bought there before and Rhav will work with you on pricing if you’re a good customer too
I have a store pick of the silver springs and it is a great bottle, havent had the shelfer. I am a rye guy though! Cheers!

That 1792 BIB for $155 is just insane. SRP on that bottle is literally less than a third of that, $42. Granted, you're not in a controlled state, so nothing is really at SRP but still.
You missed Wittys EHT SIB pick.... a cool $220 .

Liquor World here in Vegas has JD Rye for $400 and Stagg for $500. I walked out F that!
There are two types of stores that overcharge. There's the one who has decent or good regular pricing BUT has a couple of those crazy-hard bottles at ridiculous pricing. That first place seems like they were a phenomenonal bottle shop that is pillaging on like 8 bottles. Then there's the ridiculous on everything place. F those places. Would go so far out of my way to give someone else my business. Wouldn't have bought a pack of gum at that second place.
