- Today we go over the 7 deadly sins of bourbons. This was a fun challenge and a fun twist on bourbon and whiskey lists. Thanks to Myron at the Bourbon Drop for challenging me to this. As follows for the sins - Pride, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Wraith, and Sloth. Pick one whiskey for each sin!

Newer bourbon drinker here. Also only 22 freshly graduated so money is tight. For the price 1792 small batch is so good and that bourbon checks off most my “sins” 😂.

Fun list! My pride bottle is Stagg batch 18. It’s the first Stagg I obtained. I now also have 22A and 22B. My greed, most expensive one so far was $200 for St Augustine distillery The Saint. Lust.. I guess it’s Bardstown Disco 11. Nice design and etching. My gluttony bottle is Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel, I have a store that I could get it for $48, so I bought a bunch. I think I still have three. Love it! I agree with you regarding the Weller. My wife likes it and I hate buying it for her. My sloth is also Bardstown. My envy is Russell’s 13. I have been trying to get one for several years. I’ve had opportunities, but not paying $300. George T Stagg is also an envy bottle, but I figure I will never get one.

I currently have 12 bottles of Jack. 5 SBBP Rye. Love them. The next is Smoke wagon. I have 4 from 2022 [best], 2023 [below average], and 2 2024 [much better]. Plus a few other offers.

Just bought the Penelope barrel strength and toasted this week. Both are pretty dang good
Wow. I'll admit the Weller SR secondary and hoarding is insane, but making it your most hated is wild. IMO. I'd hate something like Baby Hudson, for making me spend $65 on the WORST juice ever bottled. Haha, cheers.
Nice video! My most would be 16 ECBP’s, 11 Booker’s, 11 Larceny BP’s, 11 Knob Creek’s, 6 Staggs, and 76 Redwood Empire’s. My sloth bottle would be Barrel Seagrass:) bottle I’d like to get WL Weller. Cheers!

Pride - Dark Art 10 yr I helped pick, Gluttony - Watershed ( a local distillery), Envy - Michter’s 10 yr Bourbon, Lust - River Roots 11 yr Rye’s, Wrath - maybe Old Fitz 19 for being so expensive and not so good wished i’d have sold it, Sloth - Redwood Empire , Greed - Michters 10 yr Rye ( spent way too much and would again)

Have only 8 Penelopes but Maker’s have Close to 30 if just talking one line then Stagg wins with 17 bottles.
Pride - Blanton’s SFTB that my son won in his state lottery and shared with his friends and when I visited he gifted me the 3/4 full bottle. I only drink it when he visits.
Greed - my Glendalough 25 year Irish Single Malt
Lust - my Rock Hill Farms. Just a cool ass bottle
Gluttony - Stagg jr/Stagg 17 with a lottery win pick up next week will be 18.
Wrath - Old Forester 86
Sloth - Maker’s Mark wood series.
Envy - Heaven Hill 17 year
Agree on Weller SR 100%. I really can’t even stand it, would rather not drink anything
My lust bottle is Remus Repeal…
1 bottle of 1, 2 bottles of #2, 1 bottle of # 3, 2 bottles of # 4, 5 bottles of #5 ( on my last one) 1 #6, 2 # 7

Nice list! I think the bottle I have the most of is Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, but thats easy when you bought a case worth of c923 😅
That's too bad for the 5 other people in your market who didn't get one.
@@iowabassman4701 I gifted 2 bottles and there were plenty of bottles of c923 in my area that sat for over a week. That was without even really looking too hard. Northern IN bourbon consumers dont seem to grab bottles that fast.
