In this video, I’ll be running through what it’s like traveling in KLM’s Premium Comfort Class on an overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam. This cabin class lies in between KLM business class and KLM economy class, and is akin to something like premium economy. It’s worth noting that Premium Comfort Class is not yet available on all KLM flights; but by the end of 2024, all KLM Boeing ...

@@Baeomran cool! All the best with the move.
How much was this?
@@emon9600 I can’t remember the ticket price, but the cost of the upgrade is mentioned in the video.
you don't need a ticket just tap your Visa or Mastercard. 3:24 3:28 3:18
Your video is by far the most comprehensive of any other that I've watched. Easy to follow and to understand! Thanks for putting all this together!
Lovely video. Could you please let me know the price of 3 Days Travel tickets from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam City Centre and back. We are group of peoples travelling middle of the August 2024. Kind Regards
@@skflavorfeastandtravels Hi, thanks for the positive feedback on this video. For train ticket prices, it’s best to look at the NS website.
I have a intercontinentaal flight with KLM, but this option is still not available. There is the option of Economy Comfort, but this costs 93 euros per flight. Never done it, but not sure if it worth it :/ Do you think this price worth it for Economy Comfort?
I'm afraid I've never tried Economy Comfort.
What pass would you recommend for traveling within the Netherlands, and not just in Amsterdam?
I'd recommend checking out my other video which goes through the different ticket options. ua-cam.com/video/LxFzsrEH2o4/v-deo.htmlsi=OaJ8ai5PrLiJ4kOL
What is the best places to visit if I'm having a 8 hour layover?😊
That's such a tough question not knowing what you're into. There's plenty to see here! Have you checked out some of the day trips and museums covered on this channel?
@@pocketlighthouse thank you, at least the common places or the essential
Nice video! I never used it, but on my flight to Beijing this August, I had a diference of only 100€ from economy. Glad I chose to buy it. The diference between leg room already made it worth it
@@brunat.marcondes6147 that’s awesome to hear! :) thanks for the video feedback too.
One thing I need to know do we have to buy the GVB arş for example 7 days for each one of the family or one card is enough😊
@@ramialdana best get in touch with gvb directly on this as I’m not familiar with what the latest group ticket options are off the top of my head.
I´m still concerned about bags in the Van Gogh Museum, because I will have my camera and lens, my iPad mini, my cellphone and my documents on me. And I won't feel so safe leaving those in any kind of locker far from me. Do you know how if there is a max size that's allowed ? Thank you!!!!!!!
I understand your concerns about leaving your valuables behind. I'm afraid I don't know the max size that's allowed and I would get in touch with the Van Gogh Museum directly on this.
Why buy a ticket for the train to Amsterdam CS, when you can just use a debit or credit card?
Hi, thanks for your comment. A few reasons. Some people can't use their card as they don't have contactless. Also others might be concerned about foreign bank charges.
Hi, I'll be traveling to amsterdam beginning of july, staying in almere and will be going to places like the rijksmuseum, van gogh museum and the johan cruyff arena for the taylor concert, would the amsterdam & region travel ticket work? I thought so but now I'm doubting it
Hi Diana, thanks for your comment. I don't know the answer off the top of my head. Have you tried looking up the list of permitted train stations (under that ticket category) and cross referencing it with the stations you plan to travel to and from?
Can you remove the music for this video??? Its louder than your soft spoken voice
Hi there. Sorry you're having issues with the sound. I'm afraid it's not possible to make adjustments to a YT video once it's been published.
Informative video and has helped me chose to go with this to Kuala Lumpur.
I'm glad this was helpful to you! Thank you for the feedback.
Next month we will be in Amsterdam before we board a ship. What is the best way to get from the airport to Movenpick Hotel in City Centre. From the hotel we have tickets for the Anne Frank house tour. Thanks for your help.
Hi there. I believe you could take a train to Centraal Station, and then pick up the no. 26 tram, but I don't know off the top of my head if it's the most convenient route. I would advise making enquiries with your hotel and using Google maps too. Safe travels.
Dit wist ik helemaal niet. Dank!😊
You are most welcome!
Exactly the way your described it is exactly the way i described it back then! And I dislike any sort of fruit cake
Thanks for your feedback here! I'm glad my description was spot on :)
Good brief video!
Thank you for the positive feedback!
Can be used one gvb card for couples?
As far as I know, for a standard adult ticket it's 1 card per person.
145 euro is a absolute bsrgain girl good job . Normally you pay 2,5 times more than economy .
Hi Gerrit, thank you for your feedback on this. V glad to know it was a bargain :)
Thanks could you talk a little bit more slowly to be possible understand

This is an amazing effect! I'm surprised it worked on plastic palettes too! Thank you for sharing❤
Thanks so much for giving positive feedback on this video! :)
My wife and I live in SFO and to get to West/Central European cities we have several options. KLM provides the best value for the buck of any of the premium economy experiences of any airline, including AF and UA. You can fly to Schiphol and then change planes very easily. For a 10 hour flight to AMS, it’s well worth the additional investment, but to get good seats you have to book early. There may be 21-30 seats in premium economy but maybe 12-16 in the outside seats. Agree that having access to an upgraded restroom would be nice but it would just cost more. And you might use the bathroom 1-2 times for the whole flight.
@@patrickkfoy thanks for sharing your experiences here :) For a 10 hour flight, I definitely use the bathroom more than 1-2 times though!
beautiful vlog. you have done a great job explaining this travel procedure👏keep up the good work
Thank you so much 🙂
Well done. 👍👍👍
Thank you! :)
Thanks for this. Very helpful explanation.
Thanks for your feedback here
InterCity trains have a tricky extra fare from the airport you need to have validated if you're using an OV Chipkaart. There's tiny devices at the platform and there's no obvious signage of where you check in. You're very likely to get a fine if you don't do the second validation. A bit bonkers as they can detect automatically by the place you check in, out and the time you take. Thankfully NS were helpful but be warned!
This is only for the intercity Direct trains to Rotterdam (and Breda)! The extra fare is only for domestic Intercity Direct trains on the highspeed rail line between Schiphol airport and Rotterdam. If you don't want to pay this fare, you can take the normal intercity trains.
@@bryanaaldering Thanks! And no, I don't mind paying. I just think it's extremely confusing when you're not aware of how. Even when they keep saying on the speakers to pay for it, there's no easily identifiable information. Even when an employee "pointed" from a distance I could not see it and I had to work hard to discover later. I don't know why they don't make it more obvious as it's right at the airport.
There was no mention of the contactless payment option which is way more practical
From schiphol airport, what station should I choose taking a one way ticket to bijlmer arena? Is it Amsterdam Central? Thanks
You can go via Amsterdam Centraal, but I would use Google maps to find the fastest route as Bijlmer Arena has access to various forms of transport.
@@pocketlighthousethe hotel is close to bijlmer arena station, I can take a train going to bijlmer arena station stop, right? It says I exit the station and head towards Hoogoorddreef direction. Thanks
@@imeldayap5239 Sorry I don't know off the top of my head as I've never gone to Bijlmer Arena from the airport.
@@pocketlighthouse no worries, thanks
Thx for your detailed and precise explanation. One question, if I stay in Amsterdam city for a day only and mainly by metro, is it okay just to get a 24-hour GVB ticket? And get it from vending machine?
Thanks for your comment. Yes I don't see any issues if you're just using the metro. If you have any very specific questions about the GVB ticket, you can also reach out to GVB and they're v helpful.
Hi, what do you recommend when travelling from Rotterdam to Amsterdam? What is the cheapest option if I am visiting for four days and regular travelling between these two cities?thanks
Hi Tess, I don't know the answer off the top of my head. Best to get in touch with NS on this.
very well
thank you
We arrived via Air France at Schipol, bought two tickets at the NS yellow kiosk for one way Amsterdam Centraal. We discovered that none of the NS trains go directly from the airport to Amsterdam Centraal. We had to get off the NS Intercity at Amsterdam Zuid and change to a Metro train our ticket card didn’t work but there was a worker who told us to just get on the train, which we did. When we got to our station our card wouldn’t allow us to exit (said invalid).
Hi Cliff, gosh I'm not sure what was happening with the trains when you arrived at the airport - there are usually so many trains going to Amsterdam Centraal. If you bought a train ticket from the yellow machine, I'm afraid you can't use it for the metro too. I hope you enjoy your stay in Amsterdam nevertheless.
@@pocketlighthouse Thanks! I think we figured it out. They are doing construction on the rail line between Schipol and Centraal. It worked out ok. We had a great visit in Amsterdam. We are now up in Groningen.

hi, can i use i amsterdam card for intercity sprinter or trains do i need to buy amsterdam region travel ticket for that? i cant use Amsterdam region travel ticket for museums right?
Hi. The iamsterdam city card doesn't include trains, and it's the only card that I'm aware of that includes some museums (either included in the ticket price or at a discount). You can also just buy separate train tickets.
Wow. Some true art. Rare thing nowadays

Thanks for your regular updates. Liked and subscribed. If I were to ask for your opinion as I’m coming in June to Amsterdam for 3 days and the morning of the fourth day I have a 7 am flight. It’s just the two of us. We want to spend our time exploring Amsterdam so not keen on some over the top expensive stay. However don’t want it to be some hostel either as we would like our privacy. Where would you recommend?
Thanks for your comment. Where to stay in Amsterdam is tricky especially during the high season. I'm afraid I don't have any firm recommendations as I've never stayed in a hotel in Amsterdam before. I have heard from family and friends that WestCord Art Hotel is good. Separately I've had a tour of Bunk Hotel and they have an interesting concept of individual rooms above a sort of upmarket hostel - all based inside a former church.
I just got back from my first trip, beautiful city. BUT.......... catching a train, i asked two conductors on train "does this train go to this location?" "yes" came the reply. A few stops later things didn't seem right. So asked a passenger she said "not sure". Then both original conductors came back i asked them again, This time "No, this train does not go there, You need that platform over there" This was another lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. By sheer luck i jumped on a random train and got there! No thanks to two Dutch conductors a man and women!. And yes i was very polite so why mess about with a frail man on his own in a strange country/city. Plus another lie, there is not a tap in out system on ALL public transport! i had to jump a barrier! stick to taxis if you can afford it, my average trip 50 euros for a 20 min ride, but at least they get you there.
How much is a taxi please?
Depends on where you're going - perhaps request a quote from the taxi company.
@pocketlighthouse sorry silly not to say park centraal hotel
