Day trips from Amsterdam; Edam

Hi everyone :) Have you been to Edam before? What other day trips would you recommend from Amsterdam?

Also in Edam an absolute MUST if it's warm and sunny is De Beurs Café/Restaurant, which has outdoor seating along the main canal in Edam.
Just sit with a cold beer and watch the people, ducks, boats - pure tranquility for the soul 😊❤👌
