Welcome to The Blue Bulldog UA-cam Channel. I’m Luke, the owner of Blue Bulldog. The company started in 2021 after spending 17 years working my way through the industry I decided to start my own business. I’ve worked on every aspect of domestic plumbing and heating and over the years learnt a lot from different people that I realised would benefit other people. That’s when I decided to start showing tips and tricks and my work which then lead on to showcasing my work, day in the life videos and general plumbing and heating chat.

Boiler Breakdowns… Jobbing about fixing Heating Systems
Boiler Breakdowns, Jobbing about fixing Heating Systems can be decent money for plumbers when you know what your doing so this week we thought we would show you a few heating breakdowns we have fixed this week and hopefully give you a few hints and tips just in case you get the same issues
First up we had a S plan system where multiple faults had occurred, both 2 ports had failed
For completely different reasons. They look straight forward enough but with tight access to one and the other been close to the floor it turned into a bit of a challenge. Also the electrical junction box is no where to be seen so how do you wire up a 2 port valve that you can’t get to the electrics…we will show you a handy little tip
Next up we have a valliant boiler with multiple faults that nearly caught us out, when the customer called us up they had poor hot water and THEN the heating just would not shut off…sounded like multiple faults however it is just ONE..see how we diagnosed and fixed that one
Thank you all again for your continued support

I HATE It When Customers Use These!! Day In The Life Of A Jobbing Plumber
Look, you are reducing waste by doing this, also the material is in good shape it's not broken or anything, so it's fiiiinnneeee
Im blessed with extra inches....😂😂😂😂😂❤😂❤
We call them Cali straps
The number of times a short piece of old coper pipe has saved the day is beyond belief....until you actually do even a modest bit of plumbing. Then it becomes the norm. I have a whole bag of short bits just for the jobs!
Mate that is exactly how I would have done it and what a job and what a radiator.........I did a dump drain off in a flat years ago and I loved that method........the last lowest rad I sent the flow and return through the wall under a kitchen cupboard and put two of the prv blow off top hats on them absolutely brilliant ❤
What in the “Live laugh love” is going on here?
No gloves is mental
Horrific.
Good plumber, the previous plumber, but he was caught with child porn on his computer, unfortunately.
Got the rems press, the jaws are so short, i wouldn't bother getting the regular jaws
Horrendous boiler
Grate video ,lots of detail, thank you this helped me alot
Magic
Old coper beter than newone belive me❤😂
Been using them for few years now. Theyre really good. Come in a box of like 100
Press fit miles better
Still great this
Good business i imagine, sooner or later someone will crack that and it will need replacing.
Please show the correct way to solder ...pre soldered and non pre soldered fittings please .. JONATHAN Ps.. Avid watcher 😂
Is that in your local brass house or something?
Can definitely see the benefit, especially on a wet system where soldering can be a nightmare. Just a same the fittings are so lumpy. Probably wouldn't use it anywhere the pipework is on show tbh.
Ya didn't sleeve ya pipes through the wall 😊😊😅😅
Just put a new bath in. Simples.
Great fit, id be charging £400-500 for that awkward job. £800 rad, awesome. Always good when you save up for that thing you wanted and get it.
£200 tops for that job
This shouldn’t be taking you 12 hours
What the fook is that 😂
Lazy bastard installer (not you) 1st time round didn't wipe the flux off.
An extra inch? That’s atleast 5 inches😅 right? Fellas?…right?😢😭
Ya no I don’t do that. I put a shut off on it. But I’d use old pipe idc
When I hear quatro the first I think is those videos of the cupholders falling off
Thats recycling ♻️
If it works... i don't see what's wrong with it, you are using parts that can be used yet.
Needs subtitles.
No hay nada malo en ello 😅
As a non-plumber, why is this frowned upon? Metal looks like metal to me.
Who doesn’t
Love yh channel pal brilliant content. Obviously I'm gonna suggest something clips on top reason being if by any chance the clips fail which I very much doubt the brace is there for pipework to fall on always consider potential insurance claims ie your public liability. You can never trust a loss adjuster
I do it all the time if the pipe isn't to bunged up with mineral deposits and getting thin. Then again im not a plumber, just a dude with a Milwakini propress
50% of my jobs I 1st fix in plastic, 50% in speed fit, touch wood never had a problem with either, as long as you cant see the plastic i think its fine
Off cuts of timber doesn't seem much slower and it's free most of the time.
Push fits 🤦♂️
@@cglees no choice when specified, only 2nd job in 3 years I’ve first fixed in plastic
Once that brown gold hits the scrap yard it gets re-used in some form or another
Or you could use all round band and a few cables ties, job done!
We use them as sparks on tin walls to mount socket boxes.i have also used them instead of noggins for sockets and switches on timber stud walls too. They can be a bit pricey at times, but if you can get some good deals on multi purchases they can be reasonably affordable.
James Cordons back! 😂
@@nickhollyoak9023 😂😂😂
How come you can’t just fix the pipes to one of the joists? Or is that a silly question?
You can in places but where they tee off if you clipped to joist would push the fitting into Joist 👍
Those press fit fittings make the job so much easier especially if water in the pipe ..and those angle jaws are a must with press fit 👍
Definitely need angle jaws 👌
Do you ever convert flush to push button? I like to when I have a chance
Timber does the same thing and its free
Always better to reuse and recycle for a greener planet
Nothing wrong imo
