    Clearly, Mr Muscle had never visited that waste pipe! Great job so far. Looking forward to the finished bathroom!

      I couldn’t believe it was still draining the amount of blockage in there!

    A gas plumber hates doing bathrooms, did them for years, but decided a few years back not to do any more, too labour intensive especially doing the lot on your own, I do miss seeing the end result though, it is more satisfying than looking at a box on the wall as the fruits of your labour, as you said, the phone always goes mad when your in the middle of it as well, look forward to seeing the end result.

      Yes mate the end is great, the start and middle, I don’t like at all 😅 wrong time of year for me this one is

    Good stuff Luke. I previously always used ply but many builders and tilers that I know will not use ply in bathroom environments as it still swells.
    Cement board or no more ply are great alternatives and never rot!

    I’m currently on my 4th bathroom back to back. They’re tough work but always great at the end.
    I use the mapei tanking kit in the shower area which are fantastic and give you that extra layer of protection especially with you using ply.
    Love watching your videos. Looking forward to the next

      Thanks mate, I’ve used it in past when tiling or the smaller plastic panels are used but with size of these and the way they interlock not sure the extra money worth it? 100% with you though, tanking behind is great extra barrier especially with tiles in shower area

    amazing work luke and wanye why not remove old water tank and make some storage for the customer keep up the amazing work you are both doing 👏 👍

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  26 днів тому

      Could of done I suppose but next door is bedroom, if they ever remove tank, they would have to remove the boxing in there and I think the extra space better used in bedroom 👍👍

    Very good evening pal as always I'm a sub and think you guys do amazing work my eyes ain't what they were but surely 22mm to the shower would have been an idea, but in saying that is there a specific flow rate depending on which boiler is used or pressurised cylinder as I have no idea if possible give me a heads up because I've got a similar job coming up your thoughts would be appreciated

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  26 днів тому

      Depends on shower, mine at home needs 22mm as it’s a massive shower head in ceiling, 15mm wouldn’t cut it. Combi boiler and that type of shower the pressure would be fine, I normally go off what the connection of shower will be 👍

    11:48 A better solution is a 45 degree tee junction and a 45 degree bend.

    Good stuff! Why didn't you turn the tray round so the waste was at the other end though?

    • @bled83
      @bled83 Місяць тому

      Because the shower was at that end.

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  26 днів тому +1

      Thanks mate, we did think about it but prefer waste under shower and where glass will be 👍

  • @michaelbolt4530

    Daft question how come you binned the 2” steel pipe?, there’d be a chunk of space where that galvanised tank lives if that got binned aswell

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  26 днів тому +1

      Reason with tank is behind there is a bedroom and it’s all been boxed in and decorated, if they ever take that tank out the space would be better used in bedroom 👍

    Just wanted to ask a question, why do you use strap on boss instead of a glued single boss fitting?

  • @ronnierobinson1502
    @ronnierobinson1502 Місяць тому +1

    Bleeding hell bin them levels .....they can still be level 10mm either way according to the bubble markings 🤣🤣

    Every bathroom! Not long finished a bathroom allowed 5 days, went to take tiles off and entire sheets of plasterboard dabbed to solid walls came off. Working on one now and there’s an old hot air heating system right where i need to run shower waste plus heating engineer has put boiler change back a day cuz of the snow! Old couple with no shower for an extra day. I swear I could add 50% and still break even

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  26 днів тому

      I’ve never found one that didn’t mess up your day or make you work late, I love the end, it’s the start and middle that’s the problem 😅

    • @benchippy8039
      @benchippy8039 26 днів тому

      @ same as fitting kitchens, never anything but hassle and I’m sure I win them cuz I’m too cheap! Hoping the lost day on the bathroom I’m fitting now is covered by the scrap!
