Plumbing…Always On A Friday Afternoon!

Plumbing is never dull and we have all had that Friday afternoon job that was supposed to so easy that turned into a nightmare! We fell victim this week when a nice simple side entry valve turned into a full renovation on this toilet!
Also we are back at a job previously shown fitting a new towel radiator and fitting one of my least favourite taps when the customer called us up about a leak

That flush valve is derwent macdee you took out. Toolstation do them about 11quid click the flush valveout new one in , save yourself all that aggro. You can fit the fluidmaster in place of them although you do need to trim the lugs a little bit on them 👍

Plenty of room though! In my new house they installed the cistern and then boarded and tiled right up to the front of the bloody thing.
I swear that some people either never think about the next person or just don't give a turd about what'll happen in the future.

Yeah to be fair the access was decent I’ve had worse and yours sounds horrendous to work on! Lot of people who install bathrooms never think of the maintenance! 👍

I have the same issue with the Adey Procheck photos, and I agree the replacement strips are too expensive, nearly the same price as a new kit. As for those rodded pop-up waste, I flatly refuse to fit them. Tell the customer that a clic clac waste is better and still use the same tap.

Agree with waste mate but just what customer wanted, did offer a pop up as 100% better. Yeah ADEY pro check is little poor with photos sometimes hoping they patch the app to make it better 👍
