Great content as always! I've been on the hunt for Drayton service kits for years but haven't had any luck. Even Drayton themselves weren't much help-most staff didn't know what I meant, and the one person who did mentioned they only supply one company. If you have any leads, please share. We all need to take those swimming lessons!🏊🏼♂️
Been following the channel for a long time, love both types of content (Jobbing/tutorials). Oh btw that bald spot on your head is barely noticeable dont worry about it (:
@@bluebulldog_ukBG training and experience was brilliant. Can’t believe they let us all go so easily😂 They also help keep the market price up and protected from the likes of Boxt/Heatable etc so I hope they survive
Nah bro, quicker and easier to swap the the body out. I'd be worried andut going through all that trouble of cleaning etc then build it up and it leaks. Customer won't pay for the extra time then won't be happy about buying a body as well as paddle etc. Good breakdown of the component tho, I have never been inside the body of the Siemens type valve
@bluebulldog_uk I agree, knowledge is power and at least it's an option, if you have access to paddle kit but not the body etc or if the body isn't too made up with crap.
I do like your videos and you seem like a good guy but why the hell are you telling the general public how to fix zone valves?!!! Surely it’s not worth revealing the skills/secrets of yourself and other tradesmen and therefore losing money for a few views and likes?!! 😬🤷🏻♂️
I’m not going to bankrupt plumbers by doing these videos it isn’t like every house in the uk is going to decide to start doing there own plumbing work off the back of a video that will barley hit 10k views…I can’t filter it so it only shows to plumbing and heating engineers or apprentices, idea is to help fellow plumbers and you’ll find it will be newly qualified or apprentices that will watch this more than anyone.
@@bluebulldog_uk That's probably as a result of what i mentioned in my comment. It's only on the right channel, so if listening on something like a phone or tablet with no decent stereo separation, it will sound low.
I have two questions for you. Firstly, are you a qualified trainer? Secondly, why are you showing the public how to do a job that people should call a heating engineer to do? The trade is getting bad enough without you taking money from honest tradesman. If you want to be a trainer go to college and then work in a training establishment.
Telling me you’ve never gone on UA-cam to see how to do something? aimed at plumbers and heating engineers, newly qualified or just starting out. Seriously doubt I’m going to bankrupt plumbers. Don’t have to be a qualified trainer to put stuff on UA-cam it’s a public platform, if you don’t like the content just don’t watch, simple
Great video! Tackling heating systems can feel like a challenge for most people. It’s like needing some extra “swimming lessons” to build confidence before jumping in. Most don’t have the time, knowledge, or confidence to handle repairs themselves. I’ve even had customers ask if there’s gas in the radiator or express surprise that their boiler heats their hot water. While a few DIYers might try, the majority will still rely on heating engineers.
It’s like watching a young Allen Hart. 😂
Love the new content.
I will take that compliment everyday 😂 thanks mate 👍

That one company might be British Gas (guilty) we get the service kits- I'm guessing they want you to replace rather than repair
Thanks mate 👊👍 eBay mate they sell them on there, no plumbing merchants sell them that I know of
Thanks buddy.

Haha you can tell you worked for BG with your paddle kits, reckon your cdm loved you 😂
😂 to be honest I loved BG, showed you how to repair and understand how things work instead of part bashing 👍

Theyve changed the backnut on the drayton body to a totally different screw pain in the ass now.
They have! I fitted 2 other day and the design is now crap!
Audio is only on the right channel
Will check it out for next one

Depends on the circumstances to be honest as explained I’ve had a few occasions where knowing how to repair worked out better

Just throw a new one in
Not the point of the video, I’ve repaired when it’s the right thing to do, mention a few scenarios in the video
