Building a Forgotten Japanese Supercar in Miniature: The Jiotto Caspita by Fujimi [FULL BUILD]
The Jiotto Caspita, an F1 car built for the road. Another amazing project, funded by lingere and manufactured by Dome that unfortunatly never came to be. At least Fujimi captured this amazing car in 1:24 scale so it can be built and admired in our own homes.

Building an Iconic GT40 Prototype: The FORD GTP J-Car by IMC [FULL BUILD] Step by Step
Переглядів 8174 місяці тому
In this video we are tackling a 60-year-old kit by IMC. The Breadvan GT40 Protytpe J-Car has a lot of histroy even tho it was short lived as an actual car. After the death of Ken Miles, the style of the J-Car was changed and redesigned into the GT40 Mk IV. This was a difficult kit with many of the pieces being oddly warped over time but with some effort, some massaging and some gritted teeth, i...

Know what this reminds me of the nsx and the new tamiya kit with the center seating position they released few months back cool looking kit like what u did with it👍
fujimi kits can be a hit or miss. this one's real good though
Totally agree on both points. I have done some amazing Fujimi kits but there are some absolute bombs out there as well!
That looks perfect! Well done! It reminds me a little bit of the NAZCA and the Pagani Zonda c12.
The Nazca was exactly my thoughts as well and since I built that one as one of my first builds, I really need to build that kit again now that I have improved many of my skills. I have one in my stash and want to get to it by the end of this year. Thanks for watching!!!
@@ScaleAutoGarage great! Enjoy it!
Nice build looks Great!!! Thanks for sharing
THank you so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
very nice build
Thank you so much!
Another excellent build proving yet again why you're one of the best to ever build a model car 😄
Wow, thanks, appreciate the comment. Glad you enjoy my work!
Another nice build Spencer. Look forward to your next build.
Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate it.
Absolutely beautiful build alround extremely nice 👌 👍 🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🌧🏔🌨
I appreciate the comment and glad you enjoyed the build.
Nicely done. And very highbrow, what with the fancy music. I held my pinkie up while I was watching. If you don’t already, you might give Sagumi models a watch. He builds race cars, and he just finished the DOME Zero. I thought of this build while I was watching his vid.
Sugumi, not Sagumi.
Yes, I watched that build. It was amazing, I love his work and his video style. So chill. I've wanted that Dome kit for many years but after seeing how bad the decals are...not so sure. haha. Glad you ejoyed the video. Pinkie up with your tea sir. haha.
Lovely build Spencer! Love the choice of classical music there.❤
Thanks Jun, I wanted to try something a little different. I like how this played out. Thanks for watching.
The back half looks similar to the Jaguar XJ220.
I like how the spoiler is intergrated into the rear fenders on both cars. This one was actually completed 2 years before the XJ220 but who know what influences the original designers of both cars may have had. Interesting.
Spencer she's absolutely gorgeous brother ❤😊
Thanks so much. I actually think this is one of my best pieces to date. Appreciate the watch!
I love the clipping sequence 😊 so satisfying
Aww thanks. I also always enjoy watching that bit! haha.
This was a great video Spencer, I enjoyed the music and ASMR. I think that you’re on to something with this. The model is very nicely done as well! One of your better ones 👍
@@ScaleModelExperiment Thanks James, I am quite happy with this one myself! Appreciate the kind words!

It is a shame they are not included in this kit, like they are for many of the Tamiya kits but there are resources out there to add them also.
hello and thank you for your video and your copy of the nazca which is a very beautiful model model, but also design! Did you like to build this model? Do you have any comments? which model did you really like to do? thank you for your response.
I absolutely love this kit. It is detailed, well thought out, well manufactured and it is a beautiful car in real life. I love this era of both models and concept cars in general. I do have another of this kit in my stash and really want to build it again especially after finishing the Jiotto Caspita recently as I find these cars to be similar is design and layout.
I'm still sitting on my kit as well -- after 30 years! I love this car though -- its everything the Corvette (and Camaro) should have become.
Wow, watching back and that autofocus is almost painful! haha. To be honest, I love this kit and I do have another one in my stash that I want to build again. This is really an amazing build and since this one was really early in my UA-cam journey, I don't feel I gave the kit the real justice it deserves!
Mickey Mantle was an icon. A model kit is not.
😢
Ебать у него ногти, чтоб по деревьям лазить
very nice !!!
Thank you very much for saying!!
That's a great build Spencer, was a pleasure seeing you work on it and put it together. Well done 👍🏼
Thanks Karl, glad you could give it a watch! Appreciated.
This is a very good build and video Spencer! I love a good panda car 😊
Something about the white car with black trim just pulls me in as well. It is hard to be sure lines are true as any wavyness will stick out like a sore thumb with all that contrast but I do love the end results. Thanks for watching!!!!
Awesome build Spencer. Neat to watch you doing this build on live streams. Look forward to next build.
Thanks man, it is appreciated. Enjoyed doing the livestream as well. Looks like next will be the Jiotto Caspita according to the community poll. Been looking forward to that one.
Is it juste or the headlights are slightly tilted ?
it is totally possible they are slightly tilted. Models sometimes don't go together quite as clean as we would like them to. haha.
You really like your Datsuns which now days are called Nissans , I dont have the steadiness to do such things , like your other videos I watch the beginning and thought thats not a model thats a real car until I see you building it hehe
Thanks for your comments! It is appreciated. Yes, I am a pretty big Datsun/Honda fan of the 70s 80s and 90s. You can see it with all the builds on the channel! haha.
the ground effects make that car look so much better!
I totally agree with you. I was really glad to see they were included with the kit even if they are not shown anywhere on the actual box. I love the 80s look of this one all around.
Spencer I absolutely love it brother and you sir are a master craftsman for sure 🙌 and could you tell me where you got those detail pens and the name of them?😊❤
Thanks for saying Shawn. I am glad you enjoyed this one. The pens I used are just gel pens from Amazon. Gelly Roll is the brand that I picked up. Not sure if they are the same in the US as in Canada but I can't see them being much different. I use the gel pens for some details using the white, silver and gold pens. They go on well and dry pretty quick. I do also use Gundam pens for black and grey. You can see the black around the side marker, it is done with the Gundam pen. These are the fine tip pens and not just a standard Gundam marker as those ones have a wide tip to them more like a brush. Hope that helps!!
@ScaleAutoGarage thank you for the info Spencer I need to get me a set thanks 😊
Can someone give me a list of the tools and shades of paint he used? I just bought this kit recently and im rewally new to this 😅 Thanks in advance!
No problem. I know starting out can be very intimidating and leave you just asking yourself where to even begin. Basic tools I have on hand are: Cutting blade (exacto knife) but you can use a scalpel or any other sharp blade that can be handled in one hand. Sprue cutters, similar to wire cutters but have one flat side so when you cut it leaves a sort of flat surface. Tweezers for handling the small parts. Various sandpapers to work the surfaces. For paint I would have used Tamiya acrylics. They are super easy to use and clean. I use an airbrush which can be a little more advanced and is a fairly big expense to start off with. Tamiya offer cans of hobby paint that are perfect for building model cars. I would have used mostly basic colors such as yellow, silver, black, semi-gloss black and clear red and orange. For more detail on how to do the actual work I would suggest checking out a channel like Scale Model Experiment that has plenty of in depth tutorials on how to do certain things from sanding and painting to decals to bare metal foil and so on. Building models can be very rewarding but like anything, it takes practice and repitition to get good at it! Good luck with your build!
@@ScaleAutoGaragethank you so much bro! You really helped me a lot. You earned a subscriber Edit: ONE LAST QUESTION Do you think it would still look good without buying any paint other than black(excluding keisuke)? I just think that some of it is unnecessary and I only plan on maybe doing just this one so I feel like the paint would go to waste
@@b-barbosamarco829 this kit would not be bad if you didn’t paint the yellow. It can be built with just some black paint and doing some of the details but just know that the plastic body won’t look like a die cast version if it is not painted. The plastic does look pretty good and can even look better if you sanded it and glossed the bare plastic but straight from the box, it may not look quite just right. Either way, the point of the model is to have fun with it. Enjoy the process. If you just want to paint the black parts then you should just paint the black parts. It will look fine and you will have the pride of an accomplishment. Good luck with your build. Feel free to share photos when you are done on my FB page or on Instagram! Would love to see the finished piece.
@@ScaleAutoGarage thanks a lot you are a big help, I'll send you the finished product once I'm done!
Nice work Spencer, looks really cool with that colour and all the details you've put into it. Well done 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Karl, appreciated. Thanks for watching.
Damn I didn’t know the dash piece was molded separate
I think the way the dash is done is one of the things I really didn't like with this kit. From my recollection, the top of the dash is part of the body but the front and bottom are different pieces. I ended up cutting off the dash from the body so I would build it separate and then assemble it all later. Worked out quite well I believe and in my opinion how the kit should have been done from the start.
