Thanks James, the PE was a challenge but it has opened the doors to possibilites. I've been looking at PE sets for different kits and sometimes the sets are more expensive then the kit itself! Just the aditional level of detail is great to see.
I'm a pretty big fan of these old wedge designs. They are pretty dated now but do have that very cool cyperpunk feel to them. Glad you enjoyed the video.
The X/19 was based off a previous Bertone concept called the Runabout. Personally, I don't see a lot of similarity in those two but Wikipedia never lies! haha. The X/19 was in produciton from 72 to 82 so it definately came first. The Rainbow seems to share some of the same lines but has a much more angular look to it than the X/19, IMO. Also the wheel arch designs are a very large step away from the X/19, again showcasing the angular desings of the Rainbow. Also the Rainbow had a targa top that would fold itself down behind the seats. A pretty cool feature. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting! It is appreciated.
Beautiful work Spencer, it looks like it was a very complicated kit with all of the PE. I’m sure you are proud of the finished car.

@@ScaleAutoGarage be careful, it’s a slippery slope when you get started. 😁
Interesting car. In beige it reminds me of an Apple IIe or Commodore 64.
Totally agree! Had not made the connection before but what is with that color from the 70's and 80s?
This is freakin cool!!! Looks like a cyberpunk design from Ghost in the Shell!

@@ScaleAutoGarage 👍🙂
Clearly a derivative of the Fiat X/19. Whether Ferrari or Fiat came up with it first, I’m not sure, but they are distinctly related.
