Exactly! I like these fairly easy kits to put together so I can work on trying new techniques with painting and other skills without working on a very expensive kit.
I know I am late to this party. Very nice build though. Blue paint looks great. Am I crazy at looking at the chassis having a differential and driveshaft? The Prelude is FWD car. I know this one is rear wheel steering but there would not be a driveshaft? is this some generic chassis Fujimi used for the kit? Either way this is a kit that I think would be a fun build!
Thanks for watching! Late is better than never. I did enjoy this build and was really interested in the 4WS aspect of the kit. I would love to get my hands on the Tamiya version but I don't think the rear wheels are stearable on that one. I don't know the full history of the kit or how the chassis has evolved over the years but yeah, there is a driveshaft and diff on there that really shouldn't be. Not sure where or when all that went wrong or if it was like that since the first introduction of the kit in 1987. Still I enjoyed the build, the interior is decent and the exterior is pretty spot on so I just don't lift it up often even when I am posing those rear wheels!
You know what’s funny? I just saw a review on a Fujimi R32 kit from 35 years ago and it had the exact same chassis! Guess it was a generic chassis that was used on many of their kits from the day for the electric motorized cars they did. Funny seeing it right after you asked about it.
Thanks for the compliment. It is appreciated. The plates I got from eBay a few years ago. I asked for 1/24 scale but pretty sure they sent 1/25 scale! 😅 They feel just a little small. I got a ton of Canadian plates so I am good for the next few years still I think. Zoomon also sent me some of their metal plates which are amazing and scaled correctly. Kind of like how the plates can add unique touch to a build.
The window seems to fit ok, better than some kits. As for the rear wheels, they will look odd because they are steerable but unfortunatly the linkage does not keep them parallel for some reason, they have a pretty bad toe out so when one wheel is straight, the other is off and it looks a little odd. I love the gimick but the execution needs a little work
ANOTHER great video for the channel Spenser, great editing, music, pace and of course nice model build. 👍
Thanks James, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching!! And for the first comment!
Very sharp looking Prelude! well done! Blue is a great colour!
Thanks, I had a can of blue paint that has been sitting aroudn for a long time begging to be used. lol. Thanks for watching.
Awesome build Spencer ❤
Thanks Shawn, I appreciate the watching.
Looks cool.
Thank you!
A quick little weekend build if you don't really have something you want to build

@@ScaleAutoGarage I keep about 6 or 7 snap kits just so if I want something without to much thought

windows look like a bad fit. resr wheel needs some spacers
