@@queencrimson9604 In response to an article about Blind Date in the Los Angeles publication Wet, artist Alex Grey wrote a letter to the editor describing his performance Necrophilia (1976), in which, photographed by his wife, he had sex with a mutilated corpse. He wrote, “Perhaps John Duncan would not have had to put himself through the mental agony, had he seen that I had done the piece several years before…. A day has not gone by that I haven’t thought of the necrophilia piece” (Alex Grey, “More Sex with the Dead,” Wet, July-August 1981, n.p.). I've been listening to those Adam riffs for a year almost non-stop and when I finally heard Invincible and Descending, I was so happy! Most of it made it, at least on the versions we heard. The album one could still change.
Really looking forward to the 2019 tour tool archive cam footage. Was an absolute pleasure seeing them in Amsterdam, with very little phone action from the crowd👍 roll on Aug 30th 👁
Oh, I remember that old bunch of riffs from years ago but had forgotten completely that the riff from Invincible was mixed up in there. Glad you jarred my memory.
Thanks Tool Archive, I knew the album was being officially released in August a few months ago. But I always come to your channel because you have the the most comprehensive collection of Tool tracks, concerts and information than any other social media platform. Thank you from a life long Tool follower.
Saw Tool live at Download in the U.K and for me the two stand out tracks for the entire gig were Deacending and Invincible. Tool's sound just gets better and better
I can't wait for the new album !! I finally got to see them at Download festival. Was so close.. I didn't realise the connection between the fans. I've been to a lot of gigs and the camaraderie and connection between everyone was totally mind blowing!!
They played the song at the start of this video at the Amsterdam show just prior to Vicarious. I never heard it before and almost immediately thought it is part of a new song! That was such an amazing show btw, lucky I was there.
Love the update videos you've been making. It was interesting to hear that riff Adam played in 2007 as an early Invincible riff. Hope there is a single sometime in July.
heard them live yesterday at copenhell... holy shit they still got and more to it. Descending stuck in my head, and invincible aswell.. classic tool sound!
It seems they are playing a simplified version of Descending, so studio version might sound a lot better (although I agree it's awesome already) If you watch the version "A/Descending" that they had played in the past, you can see there's a lot more to the song than what they're now performing...

I discovered tool about 2 years ago but the only song I had listened to was Vicarious (I think it’s called) ever since then I’ve listened to as much as I can I even got Lateralus on vinyl. I am now wondering where would I go when this is released to buy the Vinyl and CD? I’ve been saving money to afford however much it costs and I’ve been so exited since I started getting deeply into Tool last year. They have been an inspiration in my own music as well. I can’t thank Tool and this channel enough jajaja. Thank you guys. And almost everyone in the Tool audience is very kind and friendly. Tool has the best audience I’ve ever encountered.
Release a single for my birthday July 8th!!!!!!! That would be the most amazing birthday gift I’ve been a fan of tool ever since I was a baby. You’re guys’ music is so passionate and beautiful and causes me to feel so many emotions. You guys are definitely my favorite band ever. No doubt. I am so excited for this release more than I have ever been about anyone else’s music. Hope y’all had a wonderful time making this album because we are all excited to fuckin hear it.
See, I know Tool has been recording the audio of their shows for years but filming? Now THAT'S very interesting! After the new album I wouldn't mind nothing but live releases. Imagine we finally get a live show on Blu-ray and DVD? Like Salival but with a whole show to go with. I would love that! Also, official audio/video of Jerk-Off (the alternative live version) and other extended versions of songs.
I have a vision of a "booklet"/"case" that folds into a pyramid and has either a light or hologram type thing that shines up and out of the top.
