Put the disc in and... ... I woke up. MAD. The anger stayed with me for hours. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.

I sincerely hope that there's a new generation of people out there that will get their first exposure to Tool when they hear this new album. I hope that it does for them what Lateralus did for me when I was younger, looking for what I didn't know I was looking for until it found me. I hope it inspires a new wave of people to think, create, love, and to seek connection with something that is truly relevant, and to at least sort out what leads to real fulfillment and what does not. The time of this album's nonexistence has almost come to an end. May it influence unity and help to bridge the ever-increasing precipice that's filled with all of our nitpicky, trivial, fake bullshit that we don't seem to ever realize we don't need until it's too late. Don't know about anyone else, but I am way ready for a soundtrack worthy of this new chapter that we'll all hopefully be starting soon.

We'd be lying to ourselves if we said that wasn't expanding consciousness, as people have that option over booze. Gen X and younger are all so awake to what's going on in the world, and are some of the most conscious-living people that this country has seen. That's a great arena for a new Tool album to come in, like a guest speaker in that narrative of waking up. That will reinvigorate a whole new generation of Tool fans, as you said. It's all expanding consciousness. We're all growing, together, even if feels like a schism.
I couldn't agree with you more my friend. My Awakening came with AEnema. Then, I found my soul's song in Sober. For 20 years I thought Sober was about me. I only just learned about a year ago that it's not about me as I am, it's how everyone around me views me. In reality, I am the complete opposite in every shape and form. Only myself and the 3 people that I love and care for most in this cold cruel world know the real truth. Everyone else sees what they only want to see. They only see right in front of their faces, just like most of the rest of the world. Thirteen years ago I won 10,000 Days from a radio station. The whole concept of a radio call-in contest would likely be lost on a anyone born since then.
They still do it at that station I listen to, which oddly gets listeners all over the states and not just from their broadcast area. Since they get listeners from all over, some contest require you to go up to the station to pick the prize up, while others will be a download code or link to allow the farther listeners to participate.

I first got into TOOL when 10000 days came out back in high school or really it was my first album I owned. During art class our teacher would let’s us listen to music while we worked. A Lot of us would trade around cds to listen to. I popped in TOOL upon a classmate’s recommendation; Lateralus and it warped my senses. Ever since then I’ve been a fan and consumed all things TOOL. I can’t believe it’s been 13 years.

A new album would be amazing but even if it doesn’t happen, Existing Tool songs are a spiritual hymm for me. They’re more than songs. And Tool is more than a band, they’re the prophets of the universe.

Music that soothingly resonates with each of us. In my opinion the Adam Jones guitar solo beginning at roughly 4:25 has a feeling of meditation to it. I think that most will agree that this wait will be well worth it.

Day of release the album will be very strange for our culture. Suddenly the all memes about waiting for the record will disappear. Over the years people learned to laugh at it and live with it. That was a part of our lives (Still is).

I tried talking Danny Carey into iTunes, Spotify, etc. He said they weren’t having it. We argued for an hour. He said Adam didn’t want to do it. I think this is their last album to be released under their current record deal terms. Maybe down the line. I wish I could bump them in my car on Spotify. I would listen to much more Tool. We all stream from our phones these days. We’ll see.
