Original sada roti does not have yeast, nor sugar. And it still swells and is soft. Just depends on kneading a soft dough.
Different ways to make sada roti ..Thank for sharing
That is not how to do it. My mother never used yeast nor sugar. Using baking soda alone allows for smaller bubbles more evenly spread. The yeast gives too large bubbles in some areas. There was no saakaying over the open flames which is what actually leads to the separation of the layers . Its due to the CO2 from the baking powder and steam from the water. Yeast is never necessary. This is butchery of a good roti. The ingredients were more akin to bake. Sugar feeds the yeast and is not required as yeast was never in the recipe.
It is butchery in your opinion. Many different ways to skin a cat.
You make it how you want, I make it how I want 🙄
@@65NART butchery is butchery

Isn't Sada roti translate to simple roti?? I love bhindi masala. I would eat roti and that all day 😀
While it can translate to simple, the context here means sādā/सादा translates to plain. Plain roti is a name for the roti made from just flour and water, as a distinguisher from the slightly enhanced parāṭhā, dostī, etc. Incidentally, sādā roṭī is made from a dough of flour and water - all other enhancements are due to a person’s taste and are not absolutely necessary. Just with flour and water, when cooked properly, the roṭī will swell. Once rolled, the sādā roṭī is cooked on the tāwā on the first side and then the other side. It is seke-ed in the fire or coals on both sides to swell. It can also be gently pressed after a third turning with a cloth or spatula to swell on the tāwā and finished off with pressing again on a fourth turning. Nowadays I have seen people in America swell it in the microwave once removed from the tāwā. It’s nice to see the innovations people have come up with, but with sādā roṭī, it is good to try and make sure it swells otherwise one is left with rather a thick piece of flatbread.
Hold up… you didn’t “say-kay”???
No idea how you actually spell that. But you can’t swell the entire roti without doing that.
Yes roti can swell without saykayin right on d tawa normal, even when yuh making dhalpuri
🌸 that’s correct 👍🏼
Rotate it onto low fire and pull it back onto iron tawa, keep repeating till it’s your desired colour ☺️✨
Roti can swell without say-kay,it happens at times when it's on the tawa, but say-kay is to help it to swell when that it don't happens and to give it a nice brown colour,we knew she didn't do that process just looking at it on the plate, She's is a very good cook though
Looks like bake
U still need some training soda roti must swell wat u make is bake
This is bake not sada roti where the sugar and yeast come from ok I now know is sweet bread she want to make u missing coconut and raisins lol lol
Nice recipe but please no yeast and sugar
Hope I spelt 'bigan" correctly
✊💥💯👊
With chicken tikka masala...I make sada instead of the traditional naan
What is this? Where the swelling of the roti on the flames? Sorry I have no idea what you made there but it is not sada roti, try again.
She did different recipe I guess The young generation using different recipe nowadays. My mom and grandma do not put yeast and sugar in their sada roti Enjoy your cooking. God bless you all. Your sada roti still looks good 🙏
Dasheen bush or fry aloo
You 2 does look like sisters
FYI to those not familiar, this is not an authentic Indian recipe, not how Indo- Trinis make sada roti in our homes. Check Cooking with Ria if you'd also like to learn authentic style. ❤
Hot sada roti and zaboca choka......
She needs to learn how to make it before showing how to make it. That is nothing close to making sada roti. No yeast or sugar required. Pull the Tawa to make it totally dwell swell like a balloon and the inside will already be open! Learn before trying to show people because you're showing the wrong thing!
This is not Sada Roti. Original Sada has no yeast and sugar. Im still waiting for you to Saykey the roti. This recipe is a bake recipe not Sada.
Tomato choka pumkin mongo choka
🇨🇦🇹🇹👍👍
fry aloo
I swear I saw her throw in sugar but she never add that in the ingredients list
Thank you. I like bigan
Tomato choka
Sada roti do not have yeast true sada is just baking powder
When i make roti i won't even use oil while kneading i just use water and salt and knead for like 10 min for soft dough. And cover it for 15 to 20min . Than again i don't use oil in dough for folding or after. Just use 3 4 drop oil on tawa before putting the roti on it
Teach people the correct thing roti is not bread
Like all yuh fraid to use ah Indian for authentic Indian food🤷🏾♀This is roast bake, rename yuh video!! Sada has no sugar or yeast! Wasn't even cooked over the fire....smh
Sada roti do not need yeast, even sugar,I would not never follow this recipe.
Foodie nation, do better. I was a huge fan but some of your 'chefs' and vids are a big no no. Yes there are different ways of making things, but some of what you post are just concerning
Looks like bake
