Friends, do not pay the destination charge. Negotiate it off. It is a BS fee they add on. The MSRP includes a destination charge. The only time you should pay for a destination charge is when the dealer goes and finds a specific vehicle you want that they dont have and they have it brought to the dealership.
I have a 2023 Pro 4X and absolutely love it! I like the old school, hydraulic steering. I like that it's not turbo charged. Super fun to drive with plenty of luxury features
great review.. I just don't understand everyone complaining about the "heavy" steering... it's a TRUCK goddamnit a PROPER truck! with a V6 naturally aspirated engine and hydraulic steering AS IT SHOULD none of that electrically assisted steering BS anyways great video thanks!
Excellent overall vehicle review. I purchased the same fully loaded 2024 truck in Super Black four months ago. The truck has 6,800 flawless miles thus far. The road handling and style of this truck is outstanding. Swapped out the factory tires with beefy BF Goodrich KO2 tires.
I have a ‘23 Pro 4X - great rig. Not many complaints beyond it not having a telescopic steering wheel. Get a bigger set of wheels and a 2” lift and it’ll get lots of looks!
I am a proud owner of a 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. I have 4 cons. I do not like black trim (on any vehicle), I do not like the hard plastic orange trim, when I am in the passenger seat my knees are being abused because of the hard edges on door panel and console, the seat belt buckle digs into my side. Pros are a very large number. Overall, I love the 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. You did a good job on this review.
I agree ! I am 59 years old and when I see the orange bright trim in the orange on the grill and all the orange inside the car, I think it’s a vehicle for a 22 year old. Powertrain second to none bulletproof engine are used to work for Infiniti -Nissan . We had hardly any issues ever with us powertrain drivetrain! Vehicle 2 inch lift kit all the way around, to be able to keep up with a GMC and Chevy.. the ride quality of this truck is excellent…
Im in st albert alberta. I was 100% going to buy Colorado or Canyon but after reading months of issues with the new generation having second thoghts. Have you bought a Pro 4 X yet? If so how are you liking
This truck is around $61000 CDN. It's not really an inexpensive option, but it looks like a good truck that's not a full size. It also offers several different suspension set ups and upgrades from the factory that no one else is offering. I haven't driven one yet. $61k is a lot of money for a " smaller" truck.
@@randypruitt1856 the blue is pretty! I get a lot of compliments on the boulder gray pearl color of mine but if I had a choice either I would choose the green or blue instead.
@@XXAbbott I am really happy with it. My only complaint is that I did not get it lifted is at the time kits were not available. Now I see them lifted everywhere. Sweet looking. My next one will definitely be lifted.
I personally love the old-school hydraulic steering and the 3.8 L is a VQ. In 2022 and 2023 you had the Pro4X and the Pro4X luxury. I own a 23 Pro4X luxury, and it has the fender, the leather and all the bells and whistles. But from the outside the truck looks the same.
Only complaint I have about my P4X is the lack of telescoping steering wheel. Still love the truck. Nissan did such a great job on them. Simple, durable with just the right amount of tech and goodies. Keeping that NA V6 engine mated to a 9spd is the real icing on the cake. Everything else in '24 will have the 4 banger turbo engines including the Taco's and you won't be able to touch a 4x4 Taco for under 50k. You can get into a nice loaded P4X for around 40k because Nissan dealers are good about knocking down the prices at least in my area.
It might be just me and my lack of driving experience but the turning radius doesn’t seem that bad. I hear a lot of people make it sound like it’s not capable of making a turn
FYI, I have a '22 Pro4x and the steering lightens up some when the truck breaks in. I've never had an issue with the steering except the turning radius, which is not the best. Another complaint I have is the mirrors are not auto dimming or power folding. I think this might be available with the premium package, but not sure. I really like the truck overall. Much better than the '19 Ranger I traded.
That makes sense! It’s not annoyingly heavy but it’s noticeably heavier than most modern vehicles. Not a perfect vehicle but an awesome choice for the money!! 👍🏼
the local nissan dealer adds $10000 to the sticker price so I refuse to even walk in to look at the trucks, the specs sound interesting because I do not want a 4 cylinder truck
I get tired of people saying these are so much less expensive than other brands. This is simply not true where I live. They are on par withe the Ford, GM, Toyota and even the Honda Ridgeline. They pretty much force the technology package and they won't special order one to get you something closer to base configuration. This is just a face-lift to the last Gen anyway. It should cost less. The Chevy engine might be higher performing, but that doesn’t matter when the Chevy is always visiting the mechanic/dealer for repair… I agree with you. The Frontier is the best looking truck in its segment. And, I prefer it’s lack of whiz bang electronics that its competitors have.
Just stopped by to see the 24 proX this afternoon. It’s nice, but noticeably smaller with leg room in front and back, also looks like it will wear out fast, nice stitching and overall look, but definitely can’t wrap myself around the 45 sticker price. Also the 5 foot bed looks a lil smaller… still nice new esthetics just not high quality. If it was at 36 I’d trade in my Ford Ranger 😂
As much as I love the other mid size trucks they are too expensive. Under 50000 you get most that have bare bones. So Nissan will be my new truck next year! I owned a brand new Terra and a frontier as new vehicles years ago. Switched to ram but I can’t afford a 60000 dollar ram semi equipped.
Great video! I have that same exact truck in Boulder. Question for you and anybody else who owns this truck: Is your transmission a little quirky? Specifically, when I'm coming down from 40 or 50 mph and it's shifting into lower gears, the truck will pull or jerk a little, as if it's shifting from 7th to 3rd, for example. Love my Pro 4X, but this does happen randomly. I'm hoping it's just part of the normal break in period. Still under 1k miles.
I had a '21 Titan. I initially noticed a very similar quirk in the transmission. It seemed like after about 5k miles, the shifts became smoother. I suspect the Frontier will as well.
I’ve only had my frontier pro4x 2024 for three days now ,I got the glacier white one .I’ll let you know on the pros and cons after I’ve owned it longer however I would like to know how you guys are making the trim around the headlight’s strobe or is that another wonderful thing my truck isn’t equipped with
What’s up man! Were you ever able to fix the noise sound when you were near street light intersections? I just got the 2024 RAM 1500 and I have the same problem!
I just wonder about the longevity of these compare to tacomas. I have a few friends and family who owns both and there are complaints more from the frontier side than the tacoma side. Looking to get a midsize truck, love the looks of the frontier over the tacomas but longevity and maintance wise, the tacoma takes it. We shall see!
I traded in a 2019 tacoma for a new frontier. I had problems from the tacoma from day one. Engine/trans issues, horrible throttle lag, and faulty fuel pumps. Haven’t had any issues with the new frontier. Best decision ever for me. 3rd gen Tacomas have really fallen from grace. They aren’t what they used to be.
Built in navigation, I probably keep using the one in my phone, but anyone know if map updates on a 2024 Frontier are via WiFi while setting in our own garage ? Or that has to go to dealer for updates ? Curious.
I went and sat in one yesterday and found the front seat didn’t actually raise up so you could look down at the road, felt like you were looking out even w/the hood , couldn’t see the road for like 10’ in front of yer…
Thanks for the great review. I have a 2021 Ram Longhorn Limited that the lease terminates in March 2024. I will have to decide whether to buy the truck (29,000 miles now) or trade it in. I'm seriously looking at a mid-size truck at this point. Would the Nissan Frontier be a good choice or would you recommend buying out the Ram 1500 Hemi/Etorque I have now. Just curious...
The frontier is a great truck don’t get me wrong, however the Ram Trucks are seeing discounts now that simply weren’t available back in 2021. I just bought a Ram Bighorn at about 18% below sticker and I’ve seen higher trims go 20-25% below msrp at times. Not that the frontier is a bad truck, but if both trucks are within $5-10k of each other, I’d definitely recommend at least checking out a 2023 or 2024 Ram. I don’t think I’d recommend buying out the lease, depends on the details of course but with the current Ram discounts and incentives, more likely than not you’re better off just getting a new one fully under warranty
I agree. That was kind of my thoughts. It's tough to give up all the options this Ram came with. The only option I don't have is the Ram Box and split tailgate.
Anyone have experience changing the oil in the 23 Pro 4X? Looks to be challenging and messy to get to and remove the filter. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I leased my 2023 Pro 4X, so I take it to the dealer for scheduled maintenance. I watched them to make sure they changed the filter. You have to remove the skid plate (4 bolts) to access the oil filter. Then there’s a small access plate (2 screws) you remove to get to the oil filter. It’s a pain in the a** to remove and messy. There’s a small trey to catch the oil but it still spills all over the sway bar…it’s a poor design by Nissan engineers but they don’t care…

I am just SO GLAD I bought my 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD-OFF Road with 59,000 miles at $18,000 in 2020, It has everything that this truck has, including the rear view camera except 360 view. It has a bigger engine too, 4.0lt V6! I just can't justify spending $50K for a truck!!! It's ridiculous how expensive things got since COVID!!!
Doesn’t Nissan pay for the destination charges …. If someone didn’t actually ordered this “ truck “ they shouldn’t have to pay for the destinations fees
This truck is so far second to the Tacoma. To compete a little bit on the trails you have to immediately buy bigger tire to try to get more clearance. Every video I have seen when pitted against the Tacoma it always performs ALMOST as good. I was set to buy the almost as good truck until I felt the steering. I have a slight rotator cuff and it took both hands to turn. That was the deal killer. The biggest thing everyone brags about is the price. Well guess what the old saying, you get what you pay for.

Is there storage under the rear seat
Yes there is. I have the 2022 frontier and have car cloths, spray detailers, paper towels and tie downs under mine and still have room
One day.......... I buy a new 24' Nissan Frontier.
Good luck! 👍🏼
Good Review
This beats the ridgeline all day
I have a 2018 Kia stinger gt2 and I'm looking at this truck for a trade in haha
Great and informative video thank you. Do you know if a sun roof is available?
They’re available
Thanks Seth! And yes👆🏻
@@WTFCRLT1 what’s better than this in the midsize segment that’s priced the same at 45K?
Awsom review
First thing I would do is dump those running boards.
I like better than the 2024 Tacoma
I love this car!
It’s pretty sick!! 👍🏼
@@WTFCRLT1 yeah for real!
They should have put a lock on gas cover as a deterrent...
To Prevent siphoning or putting some contaminent in ⛽️ gas tank....
If you have that problems,Move from neighborhood
Nice truck I like it.
The towing package doesn’t include a brake controller ???? Mmmmmmm
I want a two wheel drive ?
Researching trucks. Love this truck till i saw the huge stickers on the sun visors!
Cual es el precio
Oh, for the pickup trucks from the 70's. Who needs all this crap on these current trucks that eventually breaks!
It does looks nice, but what’s about the reliable of the vehicle.
You say 'leather seats' 0:48 yet review the interior without them. 08:23
needs pwr rear window
‘Accy’ is an abbreviation for “accessory”
so nice
I wish the tacoma came with the v6.
How come these so called Mid sized truck have 5 inches of rear legroom
I drive a Maverick and the rear leg room in these “mid size trucks” isn’t much more than in mine.
Lo unico que hace ver mal las trocas es la caja de juguete que no le cabe mas que el mandado deberian hace las un poco mas largas unos 5 a 6 pulgadas quedaria perfecta
40 k is to much maybe 30k or 28k ?
