Loving my 2024 Frontier Pro 4X, it is solid, no frills and gimmicky tech, reliable V6 and solid transmission. Mine is fully loaded with every option, got it for $45k out the door in early August.
Just picked up a 2023 Pro4x Premium in glacier white yesterday for $3300 below sticker. Never owned a white vehicle before and I'm a little nervous about how it will age, but it looks fantastic all cleaned up and new. Also, I think this truck has the most comfortable seat I've experienced in many years. The driver's seat could do with a few more adjustments, but I can't say my driving position is awkward in any way. I must be the body type they designed it around because it felt great to me the very first time I sat in it. I could easily log 2-3 hours in the driver's seat of this truck before needing a stretch and I have quite severe spinal stenosis. Overall, I love this truck. It's really well thought out and is very well built. The door slams on this truck sound like a vault. It's tight! Even though $45k is insane for a midsize truck, this is the best value in the segment, in m y opinion.
We have numerous white vehicles. It's the cleanest and easiest to keep clean of all we've had. So much so, we only order white any longer. Cheers, from Canada, and enjoy your new ride :-)
I test drove one today, and a Tacoma TRD Pro last week. My takeaway is the main difference between the two is comfort. For a mid-size truck with a solid axle, Nissan really did engineer this truck with great on-road manners. The 3.8L V6 also feels incredibly punchy I thought, it felt like a V8. Overall was quite impressed but I would honestly prefer an SUV. Nissan would take my money if they just revived the Xterra and base it off the Frontier, honestly.
@@haypro4713 The current gen Y62 Patrol is essentially the same as the Armada, shame Nissan in America doesn't give any of the trims with lockers or any of that good stuff. Though I really did wish we could have had the Y60 and Y61s here...

@@JohnnyRebLa Yeah I heard that rumor circulating around and some believe it to be true. What's funny is the Nissan Terra is an SUV based off the Navara, and it's called the Xterra in the middle east. It's a Body-on-frame SUV with the option for a rear diff lock.
I purchased a 22 Fronter Pro 4X in July. I'm very happy with it. Will be installing a fiberglass shell and winch this month. The tires had to go. I replaced them with BFG K02.
I test drive today 2024 Pro4X surprisingly the steering feel is perfect for me and really like it a lot, years ago people were complaining EPS taking away the road feel, now they complain about HPS is too hard for them,

I’ve watched a sack full of Frontier reviews. Very well done Sir. I ended up buying virtually the identical truck to your test one. I did my research, paid my due diligence and feel the Frontier overall is the best of the mid size pickups. Not as much torque as the turbo crowd, but as much or more HP. I prefer reliability personally and not having to maintain a turbo works for me. Transmission is proven and solid. I went from a 2020 Wrangler Rubicon which I loved and tbh wanted the Gladiator, but Jeep has simply priced themselves out of the market. It is sad to see Jeep fall but they made their bed by raising their prices to a ludicrous level.
Nice review. I test drove and you captured my thoughts exactly. The interior at night is impressive looking. The LED exterior lights are beautiful as well. Really sets it apart.
They killed the lighting. Looks awesome. I just got a Pro4x more base but perfect for me. Got it for $2500 below MSRP and the Internet sales manager forgot to add in the dealer installed spray in liner costs, so got that included for the same price 😂. Had a Tacoma a couple years ago and a couple Rangers. The Frontier is a good balance between the two for me.
Nissan finally caught up with Tacoma,,but to late Tacomas going to the next level 2024,, I traded my 22 Tacoma work truck for a new Colorado Trail Boss, went from 169hp to 310hp, I quit driving Tacoma when I realized it was gonna get me killed trying to merge into traffic, I only put 3k miles and parked it, kept it new, payed it off, payed 26,300, they gave me. 28,500, cause used market is still good
You are absolutely on point, I just got mine last week and drove 1000 miles and I do wish they had made the lower end of the seats a little softer after driving for two full days in it, other than that the truck for me seems perfect.
Handsome truck. Thank you for your great and honest review of this rig. They are fun to drive and can go off-road in mild or medium changeling terrain.
I 100% agree with this! I think it would see remarkably well as some people would like to use the Pro 4x like a normal truck and haul firewood and bags of wood pellets for my pellet burner along with numerous trips for soil for my huge garden and mulch for my landscape. 0-60 mph wouldn’t raise any eyebrows: 7.67 was last tested . Because it’s a V-6 of course it’s in It’s own class . And despite every Known reviews. Performance is Sad . Mid sized trucks need more HP. What’s the gear Ratio in real diff . 10 or 12 bold With 3:70 to 3:90 gears . With Some fines you count easily drop The 0-60 times to under 5 seconds And not have to pay 80-90,000 For a new mid sized truck . Totally Corporate greed .
This engine produces more power than many v8s from the 2000 era full size trucks and is packed in a smaller lighter package. More than enough for the 6700 tow capacity. You are correct that this is no race car. The 3.0 in the ford ranger raptor coming out will fill that need but you will have to pay up for it. You know the saying good, cheap, fast. Pick two.
Fuel door broke, Had to replace a EVAP System, Cable from rear differential broke had to replace, a sensor that reads the key fob is in the vehicle so you can drive the vehicle broke, left me stranded, the round body panels collect rocks so bad even with oversized mud flaps has caused the paint to chip off completely! Small gas tank with a very thirsty motor. Truck is squirrely on the highway. Constantly down shifting to a crazy high RPM with the cruise control on. I dislike driving this truck.
NO ONE has said anything about this motor, is it going to be reliable, Chevy does cut aways and deep dives with automation, the only thing I learned after watching 20 videos is it is a V6 with 310hp.
Very disappointed that Nissan has not put its best tech and updated features in its top of the line midsized Frontier Pro-4X, they are still using hydraulic steering with an abismal turning radious, Come on Nissan, no lane keep assist, tight cramped and loud cabin , it is like they are throwing scraps at this outdated design on purpose, is Nissan going to discontinue and abandon the Frontier like they just did the Titan? Nissan is not even trying to keep up with the rest of the ever changing midsize market, if you drift too far behind you will eventually get left behind.

Ridgeline isn't even a truck. 🤦🏻
And never call it a car . Do you ride a bus normally?
0-60 mph wouldn’t raise any eyebrows: 7.67 was last tested .
Because it’s a V-6 of course it’s in
It’s own class . And despite every
Known reviews. Performance is
Sad . Mid sized trucks need more
HP. And Torque . With a minimum
Of 360 HP - 450 ft pounds . Would
Do that truck justice. Thank god
For the aftermarket. 2024 model
Should iron out some of the known
Short comings . What’s the gear
Ratio in real diff . 10 or 12 bold
With 3:70 to 3:90 gears . With
Some fines you count easily drop
The 0-60 times to under 5 seconds
And not have to pay 80-90,000
For a new mid sized truck . Totally
Corporate greed .
Pick two.
2023 Pro 4X with 21k miles, lots of off-road miles on gravel roads, I don't recommend this truck to anyone.
Why not? Recalls? Unreliable?
Fuel door broke, Had to replace a EVAP System, Cable from rear differential broke had to replace, a sensor that reads the key fob is in the vehicle so you can drive the vehicle broke, left me stranded, the round body panels collect rocks so bad even with oversized mud flaps has caused the paint to chip off completely! Small gas tank with a very thirsty motor. Truck is squirrely on the highway. Constantly down shifting to a crazy high RPM with the cruise control on. I dislike driving this truck.
@@AshVsUA-cam Wow! That’s really bad. Thanks for the reply and you scared me off from buying one.
Gladiator Rubicon has front locker
You must have driven a different truck. Super quiet cabin, excellent 9 speed transmission. This thing is smooth and has good power. I doubt you even drove this triuck.
I have lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. What are you talking about?
