Your a 100% correct on the physical controls. This is the first new truck I really like. Simple Old School, that's what I want. Keeping it simple stupid is the best way. Loving this truck.

Great video! I purchased a 2024 Nissan Pro4X in the color of Cardinal Red this past January. It has all the options you mentioned, except I have the bead style look rims. I absoulutely love this truck. I was torn between the Nissan and the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. For the price and options, I am so happy I went with the Pro4x. In comparison to the Tacoma, the Frontiers side steps, exhaust placement, and spare tire all excel. I wasn't sure if i would like the handling of the hydraulic steering, but it is fantastic. My rear seat flips up and locks mechanicaly in place, I don't need to snap a stupid strap like the Taco. Great review as always. That is a nice truck and much more affordable than a similar Tacoma. I agree with you about keeping things more simple and for having actual switches instead of having to go through a screen. That is just way too distracting. Hoping you are doing great Kenny!
I just got a 2024 Frontier! You covered everything really well. One thing I just figured out recently was the lumbar support for the driver's seat. I wish I had your video a couple months ago when I bought my truck! I've been doing some mods and some of the wiring is different than previous models. I went to install an intake and ended up not fitting because the fuse box had been moved from the previous year. I agree though, It's a solid truck. I went with the Frontier over the Colorado, 24 Ranger, and 24 Tacoma. I love the simplicity and the fact that I can wrap my head around working on it myself.
Great job with the review! You touched on pretty much everything and it’s nice to see. I bought a 2023 Tacoma and after about 6 months I sold it due to the never ending gear hunting at speeds on the highway. Lacklustre fuel economy along with the gear hunting and 6 months later I was over it. I’m going to be checking out the Frontier now, thanks for the review!
I bought a 2024 Pro 4X, it’s a great truck, solid feel, I drove it to NC during Christmas and was able to get 24.6 mpg, my only complaint being the red dash lights, they are hard to see at night, would be better all white and / or blue.
I agree with you very much about these car companies making simple things so complicated like having to adjust climate control through a screen. Keeping it simple is an asset in itself.
I don't know how you did that but you explained every feature and button without even owning the truck - you must have really done a lot of research. Spot on - and great video!
First thing, this is the best review I've seen on the new Nissan Frontier yet...well done man!! 👏 Second, has anyone ever told you, you sound like UFC commentator Jon Anik?! 😁
I have been researching this truck for a few weeks trying to decide if it is he one that I want. Well your video just convinced me that this Pro 4X is the one for me. Great coverage of this truck. Great job...Thank You, Gary O
Hold on to it as long as you can. You have the LAST V6 Tacoma. I have a '17 TRD Sport ext cab with the V6 and I hope it'll last 300K. I hate the new Tacos and when the time comes to replace it I think I'll get a Frontier and that's why I'm here watching his video.
Great job on this video. I’ve been comparing the Tacoma with the Nissan Pro 4X, the Canyon and the Ridgeline. This gives me all the info I need to assess the Nissan.
Same here. Had the 22 colorado zr2 and it was my favorite vehicle ever. Unfortunately, I totalled it at 10,000 miles so now I'm looking again. Debating going with the colorado again or giving the v6 frontier a shot
You're 100% correct about the longevity of the motors. I really like the old school gauges, can't handle the screen gauges., volume knobs ect. Sweet. Thank you for the great info and video🏁🏁🏁👍.
Checking in at last Toyota service, the service manager quietly says to me “keep the one you’re in right now, the new ones are full of problems, and I’ll buy yours in five years!”.
I have a 22 Pro 4X. Love driving mountain roads, and it has not disappointed me. Have crossed mountain streams without any problems. Replaced the tires with BF Goodrich K02s. Put a winch on the front, so I no longer have the red tow hooks. Replaced the step rails with rock sliders which gives me more ground clearance. Towed a small travel trailer from the west coast to the east coast and back without issue. 2 things I don't like. The delay in acceleration, and no tailgate seals which a lot of dust to enter the bed area (I have a hard shell).
2023 vs 2024 comparison Great video. It was well put together. I own a 2023 pro4x fully loaded. I have all the packages that are offered in my pro4x. The only difference that I noticed was the seats. The 2023 offers leather on the seats. The 2024 does not offer leather or at least not in this particular truck you displayed. Maybe it’s offered in a pro convenience package? Also, the drivers seat has a back pocket in the 2023 and not in the 2024 shown in your video. Anyhow, just thought I would point that out in case others were wondering. 13:24 Very satisfied with my purchase .
I’ve been a Tacoma guy my whole life. About 6 months ago I sold my last gen Tacoma and bought a new pro-4x. What an absolutely amazing truck this has been. Plus I mean….i don’t feel squished in it. The engine and transmission feel great, I love the heavy steering, feels solid off road (have a 3 inch lift), and all around it just feels confident on the road. It’s a bummer that they discontinued the titan though.
I have the same colour 2023 Pro 4X. I like its simplicity and truck feel. Downside is the awful cruise control and poor camera quality. Very good, informative review.
Great Video! Looking to buy either this Pro-X or Toyota Tacoma. Prefer Toyota or Subaru but Toyota Dealers too full of themselves and overpriced! Great Deals right now in Jan. on '23 Models too though am curious as to why so many leftovers! Seen over a dozen Reviews on these Frontiers but yours' is the best Assesment of the back seat, which is important! Most Reviews just flash a view of the back seat and mention dimensions but you actually sit back there and give your honest opinion of how the backseat feels to ride in. Great Review, keep it up, appreciate it!
PS: Giving it a zonk for missing the upper driver side oh poop handle. It should be mandatory for all vehicles. Somewhere to put your arm on long trips.
Excellent amount of details, dude !! I cannot agree more on the easy use of buttons and knobs instead of just a computer screen and multiple pages, software ! Distracted driving. Did this truck have the very nifty rear bumper drop down step and a vertical handle that locks upright, so old geezer like me can more easily step up into the bed ? I never noticed Frontier before just recently. Test drove one. Impressed how quiet and smooth riding. Definitely quieter than my smaller midsized Ute, might also be smoother ride. And kudos Nissan about the ONLY one left offering choice of clamshell doors and longer 6’ bed ! I no need for back seats, just stuff dumped there needing to go with. Heavy e-bike goes with every day, I need 6’ for easy walk alongside truck and lay it down, tailgate fully up. I need to test and see if truck is close enough to ground and see if 6’3” is tall enough to not need something to stand on to do that. I cannot find specs yet to compare bed height to Colorado and Ranger, they are too high. Frontier seems lower. One more thing that is most excellent, can get heated steering wheel and keep cloth seats. I also don’t wish for a turbo added complicated stuff. I only drive like 5,000 miles a year. Possible gripes to deal with, stiffer steering, larger turning radius, no telescoping steering wheel. I need another, longer test drive on rough roads and parallel park, etc. Thanks again man, really good info. This truck is rather exciting. It’s like can do/handle much of everything thrown at it, maybe not greatly over performing everywhere, but in a larger overview, it’s got its poop in a group. “Less is more”, indeed.
Just sat in 22 tacoma, 24 ranger and a 22 frontier. The ranger was the most comfortable, but i hated the lack of switches and stupid tablet controlling everything... Tacoma was ok, will probably last the longest. Stereo in the pro 4x was the best but couldn't get comfortable in the seat. It didnt move the front lip up enough to support my long legs. All the beds were useless... I'm just gonna keep running my 04 fx4 and 00 Celica GTS.
Really love what they've done with this truck and test drove one just for kicks. BUT I am holding onto my '15 Xterra Pro 4x long as I can. She's a purring .
Got to test drive 2 of these and a Tacoma today. Not even close... Immediately left with the Tacoma. Motor feels sluggish, transmission seemed to hard shift constantly, the steering was extremely stiff and the overall interior felt cheap. I'm not a Tacoma fan boy by any means. I have never owned one until today. I really wanted to love the Nissan. That's why I test drove 2 different ones. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy.
Has the frontier always had auto start-stop? I’ve seen many reviews and this is the first time hearing it mentioned. I like the wireless CarPlay though. That’s new I think.
No power rear siding window. Even on the pro 4x. I can't reach it from the drivers seat, so whats the point of having it. Its a little thing, but one that would bug the crap out of me.
I actually enjoyed your product evaluation, my one observation though is that you talk fast😂, other than that it was good. I know more about this vehicle than I did before. I’ll give it a closer look!
I am glad you touched on the need for just a basic natural Aspirated engine four midsized trucks I am sick to death of these bull crap turbo NO BODY NEEDS. Thank you Nissan.
Video was very helpful kudos to Safford Brown Nissan of Fairfax for the use of the truck. Compared to the Canyon/Colorado you get more for your money with the Frontier.
i have to say the only thing i hate is the red/orange accent inside the cab, there should be choice if want Red /Orange as an upgrade and keep the accent Black. Just my opinion. What do you all think?
How is the aftermarket for these? I've owned Tacomas and a 21 Ranger right now but I'm starting to search for my next midsize truck. I like to put a little 3-inch lift on them and never thought of owning a Nissan but these look nice. The other thing I'm worried about is going from a four-cylinder turbo which is super smooth and great torque for towing my little boat, to a naturally aspirated motor with much less capacity. Sort of would seem I'd be going back in technology
Can tow up to 6200-6500 lbs with decent gas mileage actually (10-12mpg) and has no problem with little trailers Under that 4000 lbs. Another cool note is the GVW is actually 6080lbs so it does qualify for the work truck 179 tax write off
I have a 22 Feontier and tow a travel trailer with it . Does great. Our trailer loaded with all my wife’s crap is probably around 5k lbs. I do use a wd hitch .
I just turned in my lease for my 2022 pro 4X I couldn’t get financing in time, missed it by two days. I love the truck. I called Nissan about purchasing it but they said no it’s going to auction. Does anyone know what other options I have to get my truck back, I’m new to leasing and didn’t get much help from my dealership. I got to keep the medical bag and off road bag which is something I won’t add on when I get a 2024 or 2025 pro 4X it’s definitely not worth it.
Yeah, I bought a 23 pro4x and wish I didn’t buy the steps. I know you can unbolt the step portion and leave the rail which I may do or just install a lift to make the steps usable.
I would love to see on 2025 model Bose speakers😊 & just a little more lift with bigger tires. Slightly bigger screen, glove box that you can lock. Please add the telescoping stearing wheel, improve the back seat, some slight tilt would be perfect.
I just purchased the 2024 Frontier Pro4x and it does come equipped with the annoying start-stop engine feature. You can easily switch it off but you must do so every time you turn on the ignition. I wish there was the option of permanently turning it off.
Great video/review.. I bought the 2024 Pro 4X in early August and love it so far..check out my brief video of the add-ons I put on it so far. I looked at the Tacoma, Colorado, Gladiator and Ranger and this was the best bang for the buck, and I definitely didn't want a 4 cylinder turbo in a midsized truck, and they aren't getting any better gas mileage than the NA V6 in the Frontier. I got mine fully loaded for $45k out the door and couldn't be happier. Love the "basic-ness" and old school of the truck and just keeping it simple with a bit of tech. Like you said about the back seat, it is too upright, but I didn't buy to haul passengers and rarely have any, bought it for my comfort, which the zero gravity seats are super comfortable.
Just bought my 2024 Pro-4X 2 weeks ago. Absolutely love it.

It’s like can do/handle much of everything thrown at it, maybe not greatly over performing everywhere, but in a larger overview, it’s got its poop in a group. “Less is more”, indeed.
According to Edmonds the turning radius is almost identical to the ranger... 42 feet.
Thanks for doing good on the Frontier
Very informative, indeed. Thank you!
What year Tacoma did you get, and trim?
Has the frontier always had auto start-stop? I’ve seen many reviews and this is the first time hearing it mentioned. I like the wireless CarPlay though. That’s new I think.
2022 doesn’t have it
@@Roadrunnerhenryit did for apple but not android iirc
Great review, very much appreciated, thank you, all the very best.
Is it better than the new Tacoma TRD Pro?
Well done, nice review.
What was the Msrp in this model?
Considering this amongst the rest for a starter truck.
It would be a great starter and long term truck
Solid review
Damn, with all the packages how much is this truck come out the door price?
Colorado numbers are impressive. Had a Chevy cruze with a turbo not quite sure if I'd want to relive that experience
Great ultra thorough review!
No power rear siding window. Even on the pro 4x. I can't reach it from the drivers seat, so whats the point of having it. Its a little thing, but one that would bug the crap out of me.
Enjoyed the vid :)
Love this Nissan
Nice Review!
Very Thorough Excellent video and review
Thank you
1 day, I buy a 2024 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X.
Is the American model different from other models?
If Nissan added factory trailer break controller and improve towing numbers keeping V6 engine for 2025 this is def my next truck to purchase.
Excellent Review!
I actually enjoyed your product evaluation, my one observation though is that you talk fast😂, other than that it was good. I know more about this vehicle than I did before. I’ll give it a closer look!
Very detailed review! Subscribed!
Under 50k and you don't have turbos looks good.
Agreed
Awesome review🐐🐐
How is the truck frame on the Frontier compared to the Tacoma, which one is better and more durable? Great video by the way.
Same frame thats on the titan so it had a full size truck frame.
Frontiers frame is way more durable
Will the 2024 Pro X have the same ground clearance.
I own a 2022 Nissan frontier pro x we've never had one problem with it
All - I just picked up this very truck for 41,700 - Go now to the dealers- they are hungry for sales and will deal! I love this truck!
OTD?
I am glad you touched on the need for just a basic natural Aspirated engine four midsized trucks I am sick to death of these bull crap turbo NO BODY NEEDS. Thank you Nissan.
Video was very helpful kudos to Safford Brown Nissan of Fairfax for the use of the truck. Compared to the Canyon/Colorado you get more for your money with the Frontier.
I had some of those interior buttons in my 2012 Infinity g37
Lol.. Buttons will never break
I had some of the same interior buttons in my 2007 350z. It's a non-issue for me.
Yup 2015 Q60s 45,400 miles basic workable controls with a strong V6 3.7 L .
i have to say the only thing i hate is the red/orange accent inside the cab, there should be choice if want Red /Orange as an upgrade and keep the accent Black.
Just my opinion.
What do you all think?
Great information
Fast moving information very good
How is the aftermarket for these? I've owned Tacomas and a 21 Ranger right now but I'm starting to search for my next midsize truck. I like to put a little 3-inch lift on them and never thought of owning a Nissan but these look nice. The other thing I'm worried about is going from a four-cylinder turbo which is super smooth and great torque for towing my little boat, to a naturally aspirated motor with much less capacity. Sort of would seem I'd be going back in technology
Not sure about the aftermarket.. The Ecoboost is a great motor, but the V6 should be solid for a long time. Not sure how it tows though
Owned three Frontiers 4x4's and really liked them all. I would remove the side steps.
Me too...
Yeah, I bought a 23 pro4x and wish I didn’t buy the steps. I know you can unbolt the step portion and leave the rail which I may do or just install a lift to make the steps usable.
I love the looks of these side steps.
I would love to see on 2025 model Bose speakers😊 & just a little more lift with bigger tires.
Slightly bigger screen, glove box that you can lock. Please add the telescoping stearing wheel, improve the back seat, some slight tilt would be perfect.
Can you do a review of the bigger brother the Titan Pro-4x?
I've done a video with a 23', but can definitely do a video with a 24' when they get to the dealer!
Nice truck good video
By the end of this year I will be owning either a frontier or titan 🔥🔥
Either are good options
Start-stop system? i have nissan Frontier pro 4x 2023 and I haven't it
I just purchased the 2024 Frontier Pro4x and it does come equipped with the annoying start-stop engine feature.
Does it have a rear window defroster?
