@@CJColvin Mine was literally bulletproof, but I tore a CV boot offroad and traded it rather than fix it. I'd probably still be driving that 2012 Pro4X today if I hadn't traded it. It's a GREAT truck. Oh, and it was $32k fully loaded, lol. I thought that was super expensive back in 2012. How things have changed in a mere decade.

Really loving mine still. Have a 2021 pro 4x I bought new with 24,000 miles now. Same as this with the moonroof and cooled seats. Sticker was 3k less back then. 62,500 fully loaded. I paid 56k with 0% for 72 months in Northern California. Still happy with the deal I got considering prices and financing now. I would definitely buy again. I’m the kind of guy that always owned different cars every year or two (2009 civic to 2014 wrx to 2008 xterra off road to 2011 Infiniti g37s to 2020 4runner that I traded for this. I honestly plan on paying it off and keeping it for 10 years. Also the fender Audio is killer! I don’t have to add more bass. And Iv always installed JL audio or alpine speakers and subs in all my cars. I live in Tahoe where it often can snow 3-4 FEET overnight and have never been late to work. It bashes over berms and have used the rear locker several times to get out of my driveway. Absolutely love it and am happy I purchased the latest generation of this truck. When you compare every little detail and option this truck has even down to discount and price compared to the competition it’s not even close. A 2021 tundra limited with the ancient interior and less features and 5% interest rate it would have cost me 10-15k more after 5 years. If you are hesitant don’t be. Go drive it. I was sold after driving it 1 mile down the road.

The features on this pro-4x (with all packages added) have the identical features to a platinum reserve, if you compares a fully loaded pro-4x with a platinum reserve you will see. If you want the rear locking diff, blacked out appearance and don’t care about quilted brown leather seats, larger rims, chrome everywhere and a few pieces of wood trim splashed around the pro-4x is better off choice that will ride better due to the stiffer billstein shocks front and back that reduce body movement a lot. Best value on the truck market, no I don’t sell them…I have owned two Titans and they have been bulletproof, have a 2023 pro-4x with the same package as the video but in gunmetal gray.

I will also agree that Nissan should've painted the door handles regardless on the Pro4X those plastic ones get faded over time and it makes the 70k truck look like a base model.

Here are some cons to consider (for the Pro-4x), in no particular order:
1.) The V8 is GDI (gasoline direct inject), which can cause cylinder issues and gunking over time. Most others have moved over to port injection or a combination direct and port.
2.) The front seat doesn't go down far enough IMO, especially in the moonroof models, and if you're over 5'10" your head may touch. Also, there have been reports of the moonroof leaking. Without the moonroof, you also lose cooled seats.
3.) The interior materials are very cheap and get damaged easily. Lots of wiggly knobs (especially the seat controls) and vibrating pillar plastic. Feels like a quality control issues combined with price cutting.
4.) The exterior paint is cheap and chips easily, the plastic grille can warp and become wavy where it meets the hood, and you have to be on the lookout for bad body gaps and bumper alignment.
5.) There are reports that the notorious Titan Lurch is still a thing. It will thunk and/or lurch when coming to a smooth stop. How often it does it varies between vehicles, from every other stop to 1 in 20. This makes it hard to "prove" to the mechanic that there's an issue (even though they are secretly well aware).
6.) It comes with most if not all of the same "features" of the other Big 3, but they're executed worse. It has cameras, but they suck. It has off-road capabilities, but it's not great. The headlights and tail lights are arguably worse than other's. Payload and towing is lower. Plastic rear bumper and tailgate interior. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.
7.) It's being discontinued. Resell is terrible. A lot of parts are back-ordered. And third-party accessories are harder to find and more expensive.
That being said, if you can get it for 20% or more off of MSRP, it's not a terrible deal.

The Titan died because of its lack of meaningful options compared to the competition. Their lack of original identity is another major factor, trying to hard to look like a F-150. The nickle and diming and cheap interior plastics and poor dealership experiences are some of the many reasons why this truck didn't sell well. Not that it's a bad truck just not better then the competition ✌🏽🇺🇲

    • @atrumorbis
      @atrumorbis 13 днів тому

I think people underestimate the dealership experiences. There's only one near me, and they're a damn joke. Takes forever to get information without being in person. They're difficult to negotiate with. The two sales people I talked to didn't know more than the most basic info. And the service guys aren't running on all cylinders (took 9 hours for an oil change the last time I had to deal with them). The next closest dealership is 65+ miles away. The Big 3 dealerships are all over the place, and I got responses within 15 minutes with great proposals and so much less BS. Ugh.

Price is hard to swallow for the last year of a truck that hasn’t had any updates in years. Take 10k off that price, and it would be worth it. I do like the Nissan and will be looking to buy a loaded SV in the spring but the price has to be right.

@@stephenwilson0386 Best of luck in your search. There are a lot of good deals and used is a great way to go to combat the poorer resale value of the Titans. My hope is that in a few years, we’ll see that reverse with fewer and fewer V8s available and fewer Titans. Of course this is a long term purchase so I’m not concerned.

Take a drink every time this guy says "aggressive"

Looks like the the frontier". (Resigned in 2022). Or maybe 🤔 the frontier looks like the Titan, redesign in 2020. So this guy can't count or sort or organized basic numbers in numerical order.

It is not The Nissan Titan that failed. But The Titan XD line that totally failed! Who would buy a V8 Cummins engine that is made in Mexico? And the Nissan slapped that engine in their titan truck. Which is the modern Cummins are plagued with problems EGR, DPF and Check engine light. What kinda d of idiot that will put up a 5/8th Ton truck where XD is in the middle of Half ton and 3/4 ton? Why not Nissan just built it as it is? Why not build a 3/4 ton Titan with a Eaton Fuller 13 speed manual transmission that can tow more than the competition? Why put up a 5/8th Ton Truck in the market where a lot of Men are opting In for Half Ton and 3/4 Ton trucks? And why put a push button start that is so expensive to repair compare to getting a new chipped key? I would say Nissan Titan is good and descent enough for Heavy Task such as hauling and towing. It is 4WD capable with Rear Diff Locker, 4WD Shift on the Fly capability is good! Naturally Aspirated V8, Nissan should have redesigned the 5.6L V8. Instead of Timing Chain, they should have put in a Timing Gear instead! That design doesn't need chain replacement every 150K miles. Timing Gear Last lifetime. Nissan should have have keep it old school put some grease points under chassis so the owner can have the ability to DIY it, low cost of maintenance! Nissan should redesign their Titan trucks make it more DIYable for Owners instead of having their buyers get ripped off by mechanics.
