For years I have heard people talk about who the strongest guardian in lore is. This Video gives definitive proof on where we stand as a guardian and who exactly is the strongest.
This video provides in game refrences as well as documented written lore as proof of discussion.

Canonically, Osiris used to be the strongest. He could spam abilities, and switch elements effortlessly. After losing Sagira, it's Ikora who's the strongest, and it's mentioned a lot in lore about it.
Ikora is not the strongest. In Season of the Witch finale when Eris kills Savathun there is a lore card that goes into detail about what happend afterwards.
Ikora leapt to her feet, roaring Void energy distorting the air around her. She took a measured step toward Savathûn.
"No tricks, no riddles, no lies twisted around the truth," she said, her voice firm. "Tell us now, or I don't have any reason to let you leave here alive."
Savathûn slowly drew herself to her full height and grinned down at Ikora, spreading her wings wide. "Eris may have managed an interesting sword logic stunt, but I have lost none of my power." She began to hover, her talons dragged across the ground as she floated toward the Warlock. "You're in no position to stop me."
The Guardian rose from Eris's side.
"I am," they said.
Savathûn paused for a long moment, her ossified face unreadable.
Ikora threatened Savathun and she pretty much laughed it off but when our Guardian speaks up Savathun is hesitant because she knows that we can kill her again.

Isn't saint-14 considered like a god amongst gods in the lore, like didn't he solo fallen houses by himself, fight vex simulations for over a thousand years solo, and not to mention became a vanguard leader, but then again, in the lore ikora has wielded all 3 light energies simultaneously and even intimated savathun with her power, plus the fact she has a perfect KDA in crucible even against other guardians says alot, so if you ask me, it's a toss up between saint-14 and ikora

@@damn7173Basically in one of calus's predicted futures THE guardian gets corrupted and falls to darkness and starts picking off the vanguard. We give ikora a day to surrender, She says no and squares up. By the end of it we defeat her but she drops a nova bomb so massive it almost cracked the surface of mars where the fight happens.

Not to mention guardians like Ikora can use two different supers within seconds of each other. Canonically some guardians can spam supers. Saint held a bubble for 10 minutes straight in season of the lost

I made a TikTok about this lore. She was scared to fight us AND Ikora at the same time. She didn’t even look at us
@@stickymz yea sorry but that’s just splitting hairs and false. The fact that Ikora amping up her void light was a joke to her but the guardian just saying “I can” made her instantly change her mind shows we are the threat to her, not Ikora and the guardian combined.

Savathun is not scared of Ikora at all. It doesn’t matter if savathun was in a rage. In fact if she was in a rage she would hold nothing back.. The guardian still withstood her attacks in witch queen and did enough damage to kill her. Ghost saying she’s too powerful doesn’t mean much. The ghost has been blatantly wrong on several occasions, such as calling Xol the strongest thing he’s ever seen despite Xol being nothing compared to Oryx.

There is a guardian named moss I don’t remember his number but he’s a exo warlock with a particularly weak connection to the light so yeah we scale differently equality was a lie and ikora didn’t quit crucible she was caught cheat by battle eye
Moss-2, yeah. His connection to the light is weak, but his ghost’s is, so his ghost will take control of his body to use abilities, and cast supers while Moss-2 himself uses conventional firearms instead
His eyes even move around independently like a chameleon until his ghost takes him over. Very creepy, but fascinating nonetheless. Probably my favourite Warlock in lore
I never got why people thought our guardians were the strongest, we have other guardians that are thousands of years old and technically our characters are only 10 at most.
Yah but our character has accomplished more then those other guardians combined. What the heck has Ikora done besides win some crucible matches
@@chaserucker604 and in 10 years our guardian mastered the 3 light elements and 2 dark elements, while common guardians can master only 1 or 2 elements, sure we lack some experience and knowlegde, but the young wolf is not a random

One thing we should not forget though is that our understanding of the light is something of a mistery to other characters. Ikora and the Hidden commented on this, that our abilities and how we use them either shows unique mastery or an understanding of the light which they cannot comprehend.
While we may not be the strongest (or even close to that), we are very unique in how we used our abilities, which is why I think Prismatic makes so much sense. We literally have a higher understanding why not use that to our advantage

I get all of the arguments besides the one regarding eramis. Yes we would have lost against Eramis in the beginning of the campaign if we hadnt gotten taught by the stranger but when we later defeated Eramis us learning the way of stasis is not considered outside help in anyway IMO. Eramis herself had been taught stasis so do we account for that when we scale her towards other powerful creatures of the destiny galaxy? of course not, she had just naturally grown more powerful same as us guardians in the end of the campaign. The fact that we happened to be more powerful because we trained does not count as outside help because if thats the case then we didnt defeat Calus either.

Well I think it depends on the guardian some guardians have shown they can spam their super in very short intervals like ikora did in the first mission of the red war or Cayde doing blade barrage after being knocked out of golden gun or even Ana Bray back a Twilight Gap but their also examples of Guardians like Cas and Maeve in new loght story that got folded by Blueberry Fauder, so it depends on the guardians in the lore, their are guardians that are unimaginably powerful and their are those who are canon Fauder it really depends on who you pick

I think this is a matter of people not really understanding how strong the guardian is supposed to be canonically. Its easy to think we are weaker than other characters because of gameplay, but the lore clearly says otherwise.
Outside being gimped a bit for gameplay reasons, our Guardian regularly performs feats that "stronger" light bearers couldnt handle. We mastered 5 classes when most can only master 1 or 2 and can swap on the fly. We have killed the Black heart, Crota, Oryx, Savathun, Rhulk, and many others who would be considered Gods, all who have defeated countless civilizations and even other lightbearers. We mastered the light and the dark first.
Savathun literally laughed at Ikora when she threatened her, but backed down when our guardian stepped up. Literally stopped her in her tracks. She literally told the greatest crucible champion and guardian with seemingly near infinite power that she wasn't a threat, but literally froze at a few words from us.
Saint considers us his mentor, Mara calls us a shining beacon, and Zavala has come to count on us to make impossible situations possible.
We may not be the oldest guardians but its clear we are close to, if not literally the strongest. Some gameplay limitations aside, its literally not possible for us to just be "average", our feats clearly say otherwise, and the characters in game all pretty much admit that we are the strongest. I mean here we are, the end of the universe, a situation where we absolutely have to send the strongest warriors to save reality, and its our guardian that everyone universally says is going to go in and take on the witness.
Its not a matter of us only being 10, its more like we are so strong look what we have accomplished in only 10 years.
Savathun also didn’t even look at us. She didn’t want to fight both us and Ikora at the same time.
@@stickymz She also knew she couldn't beat us, since we beat her ourselves in the Campaign. It wasn't a 3 person strike, it was a campaign mission, which can be done solo. Even the cutscene shows it solo. Just cause she didnt turn to look at us doesnt mean we were an after throught, that makes no sense since we had already beaten her, AND she was currently even weaker since she had just rez'ed (according to Saint 14). She had no hope of beating us solo, but still stood up to Ikora.

@oziebanksIV I'd argue that Savathûn was willing to taunt Ikora because she was aware the warlock Vanguard still needed answers, and was confident that at the end of it she would survive a confrontation.
However as you so excellently pointed out our Guardian's presence was an Xfactor. We had surpassed her expectations despite her planning and plots. And we had only gotten stronger since our last encounter. Our being there represented an unacceptable risk.

Your logic regarding almost all these events if very flawed, and almost seems like you are looking for excuses to discount the guardian in general. Lets go in order.
The iron lords axe being used means we got outside help? By that logic every single guardian who used any weapon got outside help. Cant hurt that Cabal with your fist and had to use a gun? Outside help, you are weak.
Traveler finished off Gaul? Yeah, after we kicked his butt so bad he had to try to absorb the light fully. The same light the traveler gave back to OUR GUARDIAN after showing US visions. Others even tried to use the shard and were denied.
Also you have this weird obsession about doing things solo. Do you think those guardians of legend did everything solo? They all had fireteams, does that discount THEIR accomplishments? Make sure to let Lord Shaxx know that since he had help from Anna and a few other guardians that his accomplishments at Twilight Gap don't count.
Also, to claim that we only won against Eramis because we were trained how to use our power is a flat our laughable stretch. The majority of guardians were trained how to use their powers to some degree, and that entire campaign we were learning how to use Stasis and darkness to accomplish what the light couldn't, and that continues to this day with Deepsight and Strand. That's like saying a prize fighter only won because he had training. Yeah, we all got training, even Eramis would of had to train somewhat to control her power, and even if she hadn't, being trained doesn't discount your abilities. Also,. BECAUSE we have training in both light and dark, we are pushed out to the front lines even more lately BECAUSE we are so strong and disciplined in the dark. We arent the only guardians that can use darkness, but we are the ones everyone seems to trust.
As far as Saints speech, he calls us his mentor. Considering what he said after leaving the Infinite forest (still a cutscene that gives me chills) I think its safe to say he feels that way today.
Also, saying that we didn't beat Savathun solo because we used her memories against her? I think you may not understand what the word solo means. It means alone. Just because we exploit an enemy weakness doesn't mean we didn't still take them on by ourselves. I guess you only make body shots in game and ignore weakspots and headshots huh?
Your entire argument is that since the Guardian didn't do everything solo and use preparation, training, and weapons, that they must be weak. Every major event and accomplishment in the Destiny Universe almost always involves a fireteam, yet we don't discount those accomplishments. Our Guardian might not always work alone, but that doesn't mean he isn't the strongest.
Cayde died yes, and nobody could of stopped it because nobody was next to him when it happened, and unless you knew the future it couldn't of been prevented. Ikora, Osiris at full power, or anyone else could of been there, but since Cayde split off from his partner, nobody would of been there to help them.
Constantly and consistently for the last 10 years its our guardian, whether alone or in a fireteam, that has defeated every major enemy, and been at every major event. In our short time being alive we have accomplished what legendary guardians needed decades and centuries to accomplish. Even IF we arent the absolute strongest right now, we are easily top 3, though even then the other contenders would likely say the guardian is stronger, especially since its always US that everyone relies on. All reality is at stake, we need our best, and you think all the alliance members and Vanguard are entrusting the fate of reality to an "Average" guardian? No, they are sending the strongest, solo or fireteam.

I kinda disagree with the assertion that it is of the darkness to rank the power if individuals or entities. Unless im missing the point. And like i get the subtext of we are stronger together. Im a bit rusty on the specifics of some lore but osiris and ikora would be more than just long lived and therefore well learned. They are both that and also powerful in their own right as guardians. Even after losing his light osiris would with his understanding of hos light abilities be far more skilled and talented than the average guardian but we dont know the limits of his power.

So your take is that math doesn’t apply to guardians, so therefore there is no global maximum aka strongest.
Counterpoint:
There are local maximums, where the most impressive “creative use” of the light as you call it, have been done, and can be ranked with alternative metrics, like how badly it breaks the laws of physics, instead of pure “strength”. But I argue it is still rank-able if you took the time to make a teir list of guardians and used metrics that make sense to you.
I think our guardian not being the best is fine, and understandable, and actually preferable. Yet, your answer (and the in game lore answer) seems like a cop out. I think it's fine not to know how to scale each other mathematically, but then it doesn't make sense to then say that everyone is equal because, again, they said they can't scale. Also, I'm mostly here just to see who could have been the strongest, because I'm interested in diving more into the lore. Your (and the lore)'s answer is un-interesting. Like, watching your whole video then just seems like a waste of time to end on that. Not your fault, fault of the writers. It's eh. Guardian 2014 in the lore is far beyond any other guardian in raw power. The player character is a godslaying monstrosity, that recurs through all the godslaying raid teams as their canonical leader. While the members of the party are not confirmed to be different from raid to raid the leader of the party YOU is canonically there for every godslaying implying YOU PLAY THE MOST KEY ROLL, and teams are simply built AROUND YOU.
They are there to deal with the fodder while you deal with THE BOSS, canonically.
This is also why you get mechanics like in crota where ONE GUARDIAN WIELDS THE SWORD AND KILLS HIM. Or oryx WHERE ONE GUARDIAN GOES ASCENDANT.
That one guardian fulfilling the mechanics to defeat the boss, IS IMPLIED TO BE YOU.

Lightbearer Guardian (Warlock) Osiris, even when not being assistingly connected back to any of his forms of the Patterns' technologies, tricks, etc that he has so far shown to still have before the end of 2020's pre-CALAMITY Protocol Days.
- Lightbearer Guardians like Radeghast, to pre-Taken War era Tevis, to Felwinter, to Patterns' infinite forest crusading/pre-Permanent death era Saint-14, Tallulah, Timur, Saladin, Quantis, even Savin's close-up bit when it comes to Paracausal Light Void-Light Lore, etc of the Lightbearer Guardians' examples of Paracausal Light-based powerful forms of their experiences, training, age, etc throughout the post-first Ghost creation era Centuries.
There are not retcons in destiny lore. Just information changes as new information comes out… just like real life.

We are the strongest. Literally anything any other guardian can do we can do. We are canonically every subclass at once and are the only guardian to have every subclass. Canonically we grow in strength. I dont think you know how to powerscale properly, based on this copout answer

So you’re saying because someone trained us to use stasis we didn’t solo a boss, so we didn’t even beat the first captain after being revived because our ghost trained us to use the light. A solo is a solo. If you’re using a tool like the Valkyrie and know one else is there that’s a solo mission, only one person is risking themself. Ana bray didn’t put herself in a harms way. BUT if I go and practice with a coach to learn how to box it's no longer a 1v1 fight because I practiced or learned to do something. And the Hive vs the Acumen, didn’t the Acumen initially make bargains with some exceptionally powerful allies, hence why it took so long to beat them? After that the went on a rampage. Look how quickly the dealt with the Cabal. I see his points but I disagree with them, I don’t believe there’s equality in power, in fact I’m certain the lore also talks about low powered guardians. Therefore how are all equal?

Ok, so you're reaching a LOT with the Eremis, "if not for both the Witness and L C Bray teaching us how to control darkness" that's like saying I would have lost the fight if not for Banshee teaching me how to clean my weapons. The Savathun fight is even more of a reach.
Your conclusion is flawed as well, every Guardian might be as powerful in the light as the next one, but some are more capable fighters then others.
We may never know which Guardian is the strongest, but our Guardian and some other notable Guardians are definitely stronger then most. Especially since we can wield both dark subclasses, which technically makes us the most powerful.
The Savathun fight is not a reach as I stated in the video with in game audio and story.
My conclusion is not flawed as I am just telling you exactly what the lore says. If you think my conclusion is flawed then you’re saying the lore that I clearly read that came from the game is flawed
@@stickymz The lore also states that Osiris was the strongest guardian, among other things, you just cherry picked and isolated one inspirational line and presented it as the reality to get your conclusion.
I can't be bothered to rewatch or google to confirm, but I'm pretty sure Ikora says that the guardians are equal in light, not that they are equally as strong as the next one in combat. Using this quote to say that no guardian is stronger then another is defying logic.

When every guardian is no matter if Warlock, Hunter or Titan, and why can just use our guardian the darkness? and osiris can use strand, and she i know is not a guardian but elsi bray can also use the darkness, but why not the other guardians? To controll stasis is it like to controll the taken, and strand just let it flow, the void you need trust, to arc i dont really know and also not solar. But just to see in Gameplay how the warlock use his abillitys to convert in lore it could be the strongest or atleast very strong. Every one is same strong but everyone has his uniqe abillitys and that makes it so confusing who is the strongest.
