music is legendary, whoever fired the composers has no idea what they've done. i spent hours in orbit listening to it in the background
Upper management almost never knows the employees working at their companies. Higher ups probably looked at all these great employee’s names on a piece of paper/file and went “woah their pay and bonuses + unvested shares are really high, we could make a ton off laying them off!”
I went on Glassdoor recently and looked at reviews of Bungie. Found out the company has a terrible bro culture where employees who are buddies with those in upper management are disproportionately liked and promoted while on average being way worse workers than fellow employees. So what now has happened is 100 great employees have been laid off while those who are bros with upper management and do nothing to help the company have likely since had pay raises following the layoffs along with potential promotions and greater bonuses on the table.
For these reasons, I cannot believe that the Final Shape will be “as good as Forsaken/Taken King” considering the lack of an official delay being confirmed. This along with other breaking points such as reselling my unclaimed Worthy cosmetics at a 970% markup rate along with ever growing eververse prices along with samey seasons and uninteresting loot have led me to under no circumstances ever buy the final shape.
As far as I’m concerned, I don’t care whether or not others choose to buy the final shape as it is their wallet but as a destiny player since December 2015, I feel my points are valid and worth considering.

Having the missions/quests to regain your light and get all the subclasses get replaced by a monumental grind and a mountain of glimmer is one of the worst changes Bungie has ever made

I'm kind of amazed when new lights actually stick with the game tbh. Made a titan for fun and ran through that intro, and straight up wondered would ground a new player in this universe? Bungie should make at least Shadowkeep for free for new players.

@@Devmode_Nunchaku And Cayde's death was? He was killed by Scorn, yeah, but none under the thrall of the Witness. All were under the Fanatic's control and serving Uldren. They are made of Dark Ether but it's like saying Rasputin killing the Iron Lords had nothing to do with the foundation of the City itself, and what we all stand for throughout the series as Guardians.
Rise of iron is nowhere near as good as you say it is. In no universe is Rise of Iron better than witch queen
All major addon/seasonal cutscenes should be available in-game from timeline tab, not just 50 min compilation on YT.

@@khaled_asunsetting like justification to bring old guns back as seasonal content. Videos aren't that huge in size that they can't do it.
Personally what I was thinking like a new game, free, and designed to bring all the campaigns in both Destiny 1 and 2, along with the seasonal stories remade to be more cinematic to quickly explain the story in the past, and giving small but meaningful rewards in Destiny 2 for each campaign completed.
@@hahahadeath1974alongside with bringing D1 gamemodes and D2 seasonal playlist, with all previous seasonal activities in it rotating like in exotic playlist. At the same time changes to monetization, where the only paid content in seasons would be cosmetic battle pass.

Shocking how rasputins sacrifice was so much better than all of lightfall.
Its almost like Lightfall wasn't needed at all, and the game should have either just rolled into Season of Defiance and this year's seasons, or Final Shape (the actual one).

At the original time of announcement, Lightfall was just a working title, with Final shape not even being a thing.
Lightfall was needed to make sure the actual ending of the game could be finished; I just didn't expect them to blatantly lie about it in every interview and media piece.

Destiny was a different game. The atmosphere, the music... A truly alien universe. Even just standing in The Cosmodrome listening. You felt it.

Even the artsyle. Don't get me wrong the art team is amazing, but the artsyle in the first game was just built different like I can't put my finger on it, but it felt more like Destiny.
Exactly, feeling weak in front of those aliens, fighting just to try to get some ammo and pray to get back to the tower in time, to join not other gardians but the entire humanity left....
@@Know3ody Nope. I still get that feeling with Destiny 1, because it was baked into every aspect of the game's design. The shine in the post processing for example was deliberate, it was to make the future, no matter how bleak or fearful, still beautiful and fascinating. The first game was very down to Earth compared to all this multiple godslayer level bullshit we're doing.
Destiny 1 was the better game, objectively through and through. It needs to come back, because it's the only one that's worth anyone's time.

So many people in the Destiny community always say D1 is nolstalgic to the point I think ppl dont actually know the meaning of the word lol. No one ever says D2 is nolstalgic. Before u start typing, ppl were saying D1 was nolstalgic 1 yr into D2 so technically by that logic we should also be nolstalgic for D2 Yrs 1-3 too and yet no one ever says that. I dont think its nolstalgic I just think the game was better in a lot of ways especailly the artstyle and overall grounded universe.

Man this takes me back to junior year of high-school when this came out. Unlocking those skill trees , exploring the locations,getting my fisrt random rolled gun....... its crazy how much time has lapsed since then.....I know bungie is in a bad spot right now but destiny 1 and 2 has been such a big part of my life. Thank you bungie and the community. Its been a wild ride but its been worth it

Being there when the Taken King was released was just so golden. That was the communities GOLDEN AGE. Everyone was playing together, enjoying themselves and the new context.. oh to go back to then days.

UA-cam has become bad on mobile and doesn't want to tag users for me properly. Anyway, I was 17 almost 18 when TTK did come out, but I'll agree Destiny is now better for sure but at the time it really did improve things back then when you compare it to what we had under the Dark Below & House of Wolves. It was my favourite d1 dlc, but I wouldn't want to go back to it now over say Forsaken. Can definitely still appreciate it for the changes it brought through.

Rasputin's final moment will always bring tears to my eyes. That was one of the most heartbreaking and defining moments in Destiny for me. I loved all the story moments throughout the years, this game takes a special place in my heart. Excited to see how the saga ends, but also hopeful that the people who create it, heart and soul, are given their due.
Such a damn shame that you removed any and all ability to play this story. As a day 1 player of D2 and a player of D1 at launch, it is truly saddening to see what has become of this game over the years
They didn't even bother to put chapter markers into this video for ease of access. Nice to see they gave putting this video out as much love as they put into actually making their story accessible and honoring the people who made their game what it is.
Its hilarious how downright contextless some of these story cutscenes are because their damn story were cut into limited seasons.

This is truly what makes Destiny great, a series of loosely strung together moments too brief to explain why there was no time to explain.

This video is amazing, I would love to see a longer one with all the cut scenes and summaries that included the stories of Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and others.

I just hope we can resee all the cutscenes from within the game itself. I get a kick seeing these cutscenes. Especially when my own guardian is not only in it but talks as well.

Through the highs and lows of this wonderful game, I've always stood by from my start in 2014 with the beta to today when this saga is at its end. It is wonderful to see a game somehow endure this long. let's raise our bowl of spicy ramen to seeing what the future holds.

@@adilsagadiyev5090 It’s always been a side story just like the Vex and the Nine. A backup B plot. But saying it’s not part of the saga is more of an opinion. It’s very much part of the story and if you think what might of happened if we left it untouched…

A lot of great memories here, seeing the scenes, hearing the score, takes me right back to where I was playing each story. Without a doubt I'll treasure the experiences I had playing Destiny for the rest of my life. I've loved every bit of it.

I really hope Bungie reflects on this montage. It really does highlight the main problem with Destiny’s narrative. They don’t have a story problem, they have a story telling problem. From start to finish, it has been an incoherent mess. It’s ironic as Destiny’s original story was cut for being esoteric and now it’s nothing but.
How are you going to judge story telling by a few cutscenes when most of the story was in game activities and dialogue

Sometimes, through the darkest times in my life, gaming + music has been the only light for me. Those sometimes always gets more bearable thanks to people who has given us games & music like these. I don't care about those who don't appreciate, but I do. And by this, I thank Bungie & Sony for giving us Destiny since 2014 till now and I hope for an infinte time, Destiny stays and keeps growing. Thanks ❤ :)

It was these moments which created the fanbase, and it is these fans for which Final Shape should be made!
It could have at least acknowledged Rhulk and or Nezarec I think and a little bit more of the seasons to have it flow better. Maybe give Arrivals or even Haunted a mention out of any that were missing.

The Darkness: "Ears Down Jardian."
...I don't know, I've been playing this game for 7 years and I still don't know what the Darkness is all about. lol
It's about destruction. That's it. The gardener, or Traveler, creates and the Winnower, or Darkness, destroys
The Darkness is just a force in the Universe, like the Light. The Light is used by Traveler, they are often used as one and the same but they are different. A while back there was thoughts that how the Light is to the Traveler (or Gardener as it has also been called), that there was another to the Darkness, known as the Winnower. Last few expansions we've learned that there is no Winnower, but there is an entity known as The Witness who, seeking this Winnower, effectively became it. It's reasons for chasing down the Traveler, or Gardener as it refers to it, were brought up ingame via a cutscene I recomend checking out during Season of the Deep (search The Witness's Origins Cinematic). Our understanding of what we thought the Darkness is during the Collapse vs what was utilizing the Darkness have come a long way. There's still a great deal of mystery behind it all, and oddly enough we now know more about the Darkness then the Traveler and the Light.
Whoever made this music did a pretty good job ngl. I hope they do well in the company!!

Man love watching this remembering the good runs and moments even crazy high inspirations all through destiny 1 straight to lightfall, it was bad but I still had fun. now to the sad part but after lightfall it just fell and I just couldn’t force myself to play destiny anymore it started to become legitimately harmful because of the prices and drops of content, I couldn’t recommend the game to anyone either because of the price so now this is it for me guardians time my guardian sleeps in that heap of scrap. Goodbye destiny

Kind wish Rise of Iron wasn’t blacklisted for some reason, but then again, it could have literally never happened and the story would be exactly the same. Current day Bungie would’ve just reduced that whole story to a lore tab on an eververse sparrow.
Rise of iron was supposed to be the start of D2.
I remembered buying destiny on the Xbox 360 and this scene was legendary at the time of that era...
Also who remembers when The Taken King released with the start of Sparrow Racing...
The Xbox One came out the same time as the Taken king and wasn't gonna pay 799 CAD for a Console
D2 developers should acknowledge that D1 was significantly more cinematic, immersive, detailed, and even possessed a more realistic atmosphere. It had a profound impact, creating an indescribably amazing experience that none of us will ever forget. These memories deserve respect, and the current content should be crafted to be worthwhile in terms of time, money, and expectations.
If Final Shape isn't the most groundbreaking final DLC in Destiny's long history, I'll never forgive Bungie.

Season of the Seraph, i speculate the Crow helped Eramis enter the ship thru' a back door and it's why he's stood away from the rest on top the building at the start of the cut scene, i think he wants Mara's throne especially after recent events and the next season possibly containing Mara dying. But who knows?
