After being on the move for the last month chasing waves around the West sumatran islands, we have found ourselves in a quiet, secluded anchorage with a local village nearby.
We plan to sit at anchor in this protected bay for a bit to enjoy some land family time. We then need to prepare Nandji 2 for our return journey north, back to Thailand,
This task could take a while as provisioning is done a little different when your in the jungle…

Well, Tallula was obviously the star of this video! From her surfing and excitement seeing waves to the chatter about everything a star is born! My favorite part was the infectious laughter! She is a jem!

Josh mate, find some battery pole grease, dielectric grease, Thin smear on your electric contacts.
It so helped electrical connection issues on my yacht.
Just thin coating all ya need, keeps that marine environment away from connections that like to oxidise and corrode.
Yeah! Manuals are your friend indeed, as is a servicing log book and regular oil changes.
I hope you have a good water separator filter. In Delos last video (Our Escape Plan! We’re Going 100% Off Grid ) they talked about their "Baja diesel filter" filling funnel. Said it was awesome.

Just happy to see you guys are safe and when all else fails read the manual. Great job sorting out those electrical issues but maintenance and repair are just a normal part of existence on any boat.

How good that they are letting you be involved in the process. I see there is a kiwi couple building a alloy car to sail with there family round the world after many years doing game fishing charters round the world. It my getting built in NZ, won’t be as fast as your your one though 😁

great video and yes, every time I've seen one of your incredible wishes I was their videos. You are always doing some sort of repairs. Of course, you have your moments of getting out and enjoying your playground. Thankfully you are mechanically inclined as I've noticed most of the yachties I've seen are that> Mechanically inclined. Since you took ownership of this boat you have done a load of work, and it never seems to end. Enjoy your stop at this Island and looking forward to seeing it next video. Cheers mate

Nice episode guys, yup some Gensets have multiple cut off sensors. My previous one had sensors on the exhaust elbow, water temp as well as oil pressure. Each sensor shut the fuel solenoid off if there was a problem for safety sake

Love Tallulah, she is growing and enjoying herself! We had a similar issue with a Honda generator. Very reliable, but started to cut out regularly. Turns out they need to be properly level, ours had always been running a few degrees (maybe 10) off level with no issues for a year or so, but there's an oil level sensor in the sump that monitors oil level. So when the oil level was still showing as above minimum it would still cut out, which baffled us till someone pointed out where the sensor was .. right at the wrong side, such that 'cos it was off level it was higher in relation to the oil than it should be, so kept cutting out prematurely. Soon as we knew this, we altered our fixing to make it level (Caravan fitment on a roll-out shelf) which solved it completely. ;) Glad you got yours sorted .. 😜

First sentence should be self explanatory...now comes the hard part to keep up with, it's the humor part but without explanation, but I'll try to explain as I go.the second sentence and the third sentence support one another (man my wife is going to kill me. Well you did forget about her birthday)..she's not going to really kill him, you understand?...four sentence, self explanatory...fifth sentence, years ago I told to buy an Amel, how expensive can they be? (Hidden humor in there but I think they got it) ...then it last sentence, a bit risky...satire on the present political economics...again, as each sentence is reviewed it should be obvious....but with today's I'm a victim or insulted mindset, everyone is looking for their reason to be a victim....even with this basic explanation there will still be those who don't get it

That Bio Solar is apparently B100 Bio Diesel, made locally in Indo from palm and coconut waste. Before DEX was available in Indo all diesel was called Solar (no idea why). Don;t go thinking it's like that because your out in the villages, places in Jakarta are just as bad, soda bottles full of 2 stroke mix for the motor cycles sold on the side of the road , people using buckets to empty the storm water over the break water, etc Jakarta is just a big village 🤣

Use a quality chamois cloth in your funnel. Will trap dirt as well as water. Rinse out for next usage.,Old aviation trick.

Don't you filter the fuel before or when putting it the tank? Do you not have the ability to polish your fuel onboard prior to it being used to run the engine and generator? Could be something you might want to think about?
Do you guys use a beasty pre-fill fuel filter such as Bryan uses when he’s fillin’ the diesel tanks on Delos?
He swears that pre- fill Filter is the secret for virtually no clogs filters down stream of the tanks.

Well it’s a boat… we see things breaking at the most terrible locations.. with no war signs … it’s what it is.. HR ce a thing important needs to be doubled up ( if possible) a d you need 1/4 of the boat for skate parts… which are always the parts that don’t break 😅

New boat finding the kinks working out everything all over, it seems never ending new or old, try not be disvouraged, you have your home your channel is growing as you learn more. Proud to watch fellow aussies live the dream from back here.. i remember youd float around till the wind came to go anywhere. You are healthy loving beautiful family. Yosh get yourself a *Mr. Funnel* funnel for questionable quality fuel in weird locations, they will remove free water and strain out particulates to 74 microns.
When all else fails read the manual? Epic... lock off those toilets and stick to clean diesel work... you'll thank me for it. Yup I use a bucket always!!! More time for surf mates...

Hey guys! I know you dont know me but I have an older DJI Phantom Pro 3 I would be willing to give you guys if you paid for the shipping? Its the full travel kit so it has 3 spare batteries. I bought a mini last year and my pro 3 has been sitting in storage for the past 6years with only about 8hrs fly time on it. The new one has many more hours but since i got the travel sized one its been my go to. Let me know if you are interested? It has the travel backpack for it as well and can be shipped to where ever you guys want.
