Tiny boat, BIG LIFE! Sailing Remote Indonesian Islands! Ep 274
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 чер 2022
- With a remote atoll oasis 400nm away, let's begin the journey to heaven!!... www.sailingnan...
In this episode, out to sea we go and it is downwind dream sailing, until its abruptly over... Smashed by squalls, we break the running rigging and are forced to enter into the islands to seek shelter for repairs. Our glass is always half full as we hadn't planned to stop here, however it is a very stunning area to stay for a while!!
Supplies are steadily dwindling away and are forced to head into the village in search of gas and food. Heading through the cut between the islands, we nearly have a collision with a ferry that wont stop or move!!
What an amazing village full of friendly faces. We are on land for no more than 2 minutes and walked 30 metres when ladies run out from all corners to play with our daughter Tallula. Nothing like having a baby when travelling!

Welcome to Indonesians hospitality . Big hug , I am Indonesian.
I’m ok with being on the beach with Talula. I am a grandfather missing little ones her age. Enjoy it while it lasts 😀
Tallula just cracks me up with her dancing!! Working that head too!!
Woooo hooooo, Tallula gettin down with the dance moves! She is growing so fast and showing so much personality and attracting all the attention of the locals. Just an absolute sweeheart. You guys are trully blessed. All the best to you, Yosh and Bonita.
Bonita, you look amazing after having Tallula May and she is such a beautiful young person. I have been with you guys since the start. Keep on livin the good life.
Just love the happy little family. Keep on dancing , you bring a lot of joy to many people. Thanks guys xxx
That sail is so bright and cheerful! How absolutely rude of that boat to pass you like that! At least the people in town were very sweet. They sure loved your baby.
I think my favourite part was the dancing 🥰 awwwwww
I get pretty jaded with all the bureaucratic nonsense that seems to cling to the cruising life so when I see you guys interacting with real people, locals, who just want to help and enjoy life, it gives me hope for the future. Loved this episode.
You'll love Indo at first, there are not many rules and the ones that there are are "optional", but after a while you'll start to wish there were more rules that weren't optional.
@@daveamies5031 😂20 years in Thailand, best thing about Thailand is the lack of regulation, the biggest problem with Thailand is not enough regulation 😂
@@testicool013 First time I went to Thailand I flew Jakarta to Bangkok, got out of the airport (the old one) looked at my wife and said did we leave Indonesia? apart from the writing looked different everything looked the same. Though I was there for work we still enjoyed it and she got to visit her uncle who lived there.
Hello Legends! Indonesia looks amazing and a bucket list desto for sure. Tallula is a gem for sure and so talkative. She is going to be a right amazing sailor and surfer for sure. Thanks for sharing. Yew!
Dancing baby at the end was awesome.
Congratulations - Sailing Nandji - Frothlyfe - enters the top 20 this month in Best of Sailing Life - Top 20 - July 2022. Well deserved.
It would be cool to see you post maps with episodes like this so give us a better sense of where you are. Especially in a place as big a Indonesia with so many thousands of different islands.
This was such a great video (dispite not seeing the fishing). Tallula listening to all the explanations from dad, interactions with the locals, playtime on the beach with mum, dad bringing the catch home and doing your thing on the gas bottles. Spice rack! yeah defo. Dinner looked great then finished off the eve with a boogy. Top stuff. 👍 All the best from Uk
Such a lovely family. My heart goes out to you all: for your spirit, enthusiasm for life..and for your lovely videos. Thank you.
Lol what a good little dancer 😁👍
Good idea to add a 2nd hose clamp a neat full of gas will make a nice little bang when it go's
All three of you live a very charmed life! These are my favorite videos as they give a snapshot of every day life on Nandji. We all know who the real star of the show is though, Tallula Mae! She is facinated by every thing and everyone loves her! Great episode guys! Sail on!
Bonita and Yosh, You two have built a amazing life, Little Tellulah is growing up so fast. Love your adventures, Thanks for sharing.
Good snapshot- I doesn’t have to be complicated to be good! Just daily life is good good!
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 Just how I feel right now 💛
Lots of giggles here at the end of video!!! So enjoy watching Talula growing with the free lovely spirits of her mum and dad!❤ great switch out of gas for stove and fixing lines, onward bound frothers! Onward! Great video all around. Sending love from Reno Nevada!❤❤❤
I wondered what became of you both ... that water is incredible !
bring rendang food, it can be consumed for months without preservatives 😀
I would love to hear that "Love at first dance story? I want details! Bonita made the first move? Yosh swept her off her feet? Probably add some beer and the story grows taller on down the line. How did you find out about the love of sailing? How long did you date before he popped the question?
We'll call the episode "Yews and news b4 LIFE ON NANDJI" I'm all ears👂 spill the juicy details! Haha
This has to be one of the most jam packed episodes I have ever seen, on any channel. The title has never been more fitting. Low key nutz.
Oh my goodness ❣️This episode was the very best. Bonita's hair curl @6:33 and to the women loving on Talula. And to the banger of having Yosh in the kitchen with Talula's dance moves. Hugs from Texas sweeties 😎
Nice Hawaiian dance by Taluka
Tallula is adorable!! You guys are great parents..... it's a pleasure to watch 🤗❣️
As always, I enjoy watching your videos and sharing life aboard Nandji with your family...always interesting and love the interaction with Tullua and watching her grow and seeing each new thing she has learned...you are a special little family whom I admire.
Love you guys... so much fun to watch...makes me feel good. Sailing 101... at night with no moon - be prepared and reef early. Great dance moves by your little sweetie pie... and keep and eye on her when ladies are walking away with her. So precious. Take care - Great episode. Fun!
Best dance moves ever -
Tks for the insight into village life! Since Talula, you two have been even more happy and enthusiastic. Your videos are very good, showing us the world and the cruising life. Regards Murray and Jean Australia
Good stuff
You need Double JJ and a cookie. Rock and Roll
Hey Josh...the simple solution for refilling gas bottles whilst international cruising is get online and determine the gas fitting protocols for the respective countries that you intend to visit...and buy adaptors for same before embarking on your journey. It takes the hassle and accumulation out of having odd fitting gas bottles when space is a premium.
That's fine for countries that have standards...... You can't even be sure which style of electrical socket will be in use from one house to the next in Indonesia. The UK (type G) and EU (type E/F) are the most common.
@@daveamies5031 Lets just hope that their term of stay is less than the 3 months it will take to consume the spare bottle of liquid gas and needs refilling!
ha ha
....besides, many of those 3rd world countries that you are referring to, e.g. Panama, don't have bulk liquid gas tanks in the seaside villages, and those that do will have satisfied the "standard" for doing so. This is not rocket science, champ. Having adaptors would certainly go a long way to reduce the number of gas bottlers from all those "electrical-socket-abounding countries around the world" stored in the spare cabin...JIC.
No worries , the leaking gas just pools in the bilge till something ignites it - like the bilge pump .
There are no gas leaks.
Tallula Mae is a SUPER Star 🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏
Cool vid!
Another cool show..... We look forward to your show each week..... Mahalo......
Tula is so much fun to watch! Nice fish!
What a beautiful culture! Wish your family the best.
Are you to blame? I recall that you are fans of TimTam biscuits. I found yesterday that the local Spar in Mtunzini South Africa has started stocking these imports from Australia, I bought a packet. One bite and I know why!
Then it's time you tried the "TimTam slam" then you'll really understand
Getting in the groove.... even if things aren't perfect, they really are good in your life!!!
Yosh, cheers once again for those lovely drone shots of the ombaks
Legends …..RESPECT ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼…..Bubs is growing so quickly❤️❤️❤️

Groovy tunes!!!

Love you 3!
-Pirate Roy -
Great episode! 'Love your flow and all there is to admire in your family's destiny. Highest Blessings
Nothing better than a good jobby lol
beautiful little girl, like her mother!
Have you both taught your daughter how to flip over in water and float on her back? It's good for babies to learn that incase she ends up in water.
Yeah we practice that every time we take her swimming and also kicking, blowing bubbles, holding breath etc. Yosh use to teach kids how to swim as his first job haha 😁
Aye love yens
Enjoyed this, thank you. 🌺🌿
Wow great video guys. You really got a sense of the challenges and the joys of boat life. Well done. Cute new intro also.
Wow those locals were super pushy with your little cherub otherwise a great vid! Love watching ❤️
Cute daughter guys
Love you three, best wishes!
Beautiful!!!
Super great vlog guys
Good episode mate !
How about an electric cook top no more gas worries, cheers guys.
It seems that propane fittings and electrical outlets are different worldwide.
Where is. MALI the dog whom We miss!!!!
Awesome :)
If It were an option, I would've chosen to stay on the beach and watch tallulah build sand castles anyways :)
💛🧡💛🧡😀😀😀
An old Navy thought, Rig for sea, any time you are not moored to a pier.
Yosh, does anywhere in Indo refill the bottles? I have 5 adapters for almost everywhere
Yep, can refill bottles but only Indonesian bottles
Fantastic. God Bless your family.,.,.,.,,.,.,,,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,,.,.,.,.S/V Simple Pleasures
I'm hoping you saw the Bamboo buildings at the site I tried to help you find. My earliest memories were of this 15:19
We’ve watched an amazing documentary on a massive resort in Bali made of bamboo!! We were hoping to stay there but not sure what happened. A versitile, sustainable, strong building material Bamboo!
@@FrothLyfeSailingNandji Yes, for sure. If you were able to find that site it has some really cool stuff. I've noticed more 6 and above earthquakes in Indo than just about anywhere else and Bambo is so flexible and light it seems like the perfect building material. The Bamboo buildings he showed were pretty amazing. I'll look and see if UA-cam let my post stay. They are really picky about links these days.
not quite as big as the other fish, but it looks yum fish fingers
Yosh, if i cut down on the Bintangs, living as your family does, could i live off 12juta/ month ( 12 million rupia ) in Indo? Cheers Mate
12juta/ month is a pretty comfy life 👍🏼
You could live like a king for 12 jewies!!!! Do it!!!
🦄
"just like that"-- My Niece had her baby Kidnaped Like this Years ago! It took her 23 Years to track them down! Mu niece became an Instant Grandmother! BE CAREFUL!
I’m so sorry to hear of your nieces daughter, that is truly awful. Of course we ALWAYS have this fear in the back of our minds. We evaluate each person and situation individually and didn’t feel Tallula was in danger.
test for leaks with cig. lighter?
lol
// food & banana's 🍌 😊 .
Jesus, that body !!! , you too Bonita hahahahaha
