We had been anchored up in one of the most beautiful anchorages we could imagine for a few days, however with pending opposing weather inbound and it now being late in the season, we want to make the most of the current favourable winds and begin the 500 nautical mile journey north back to Thailand.
The first part of the passage involves sailing up the Sumatran coast for 300 miles to reach our check out port of Sabang in Banda Aceh. Let’s knock out some miles and enjoy some time at sea together.

We always have the rice cooker running out our place...secret to getting the water right is sticking your pointing finger into the rice once its washed...once you touch the top of the rice in the bowl.the water should be level with the first line at the tip of the join on your finger

I'm sure you've worked it out by now - but those parrel beads (the pearl necklace) that puzzled you on the first kite hoist ... they are intended to go from the clew around the furled headsail, to hold the clew closer to the centreline on tighter angles. Restricts the kite pumping a bit, too

Sailing Nanji II is on the Froth Life once again. I think you will find the right crew that compliments Yosh, Bonita and Tallula’s family personalities is on the horizon. It is a difficult task so chins up. Nanji II definitely cruises stable under spinnaker. There is barely any list at all. You are both excellent sailors with skills second to none. I can’t imagine how fast Tallula will grow into this life. See you in Thailand!
