Hey Joel, so happy to see you back on your boat. Man you went through a lot in the last 10 months and have come out so much stronger and happier and better in every way. Congrats on doing "the work" to find yourself, accept help and heal with the generosity of your great family and most recently the experience with Tom and his wife on his 70 foot boat. Now, the possibilities of the whole wide world are open to you. I can't remember seeing you this relaxed in your body and on this boat...again congratulations on getting to where you are now. Hi! Yea it was a messy and wild 10 months but I do feel like it was worth it to step away and take some time. So many awesome humans gave a hand and offered words of wisdom and encouragement. I’m eternally grateful for that. Thank you!

@@Bumsonaboat it was a learning process to find big chunks of who you really are. Those who helped you on the path, helped you to see your self, your value, of whom you really are. Such strenght is hard and long to learn. But as always we all are not fully complete on that path.
You show inspiration to those who need it and make it their own. Because you show part of your life. That some achive, some others wish for, and others still dream about, but cannot achive it due to job, family, loans, ratrace, and so on. But you and your channel show that it is possible to change.
You’re also free, don’t let the memories lock you down, clean out everything, restart on a new canvas. Make it your own. That means also, repaint, refresh, refit the entire boat.
So sit down on a mountaintop and take a deep breath before you start. Let the sights, air, and your inner just be in that moment. Because strength, determination, motivation comes from within.
I saw something in your eyes while u was inside the boat. Don’t let that you down, hence why you need to do a physical and emotional clean out. For your own good.
“Same boat, new suit” “a new slate clean canvas.”
I know you have the strength to do it,
Because anything you do, you’ll going to achive it’.
Remember, everything you have in your thoughts can be created. So be careful what you think. Be selective.

- I’ve been following you for a very long time, and loved to see the process, adventures you went thru and going to do. Hence thou some of these was your own.
I couldn’t stop noticing the stains in the ceiling. Maybe one day you’ll be painting it with new fresh coat. And install some new led light.
Anything that’s old, has energies in it from the past, Even the mattress.
Your channel, you are unique and invaluable to many of us. And loved for whom you are.

I can’t imagine any of them are bigger than all that you have accomplished previously on the CHAK. The first one that came to mind was your bilge repair. I've basically been following you since you were alone in that Florida marina. I can see how your whole vibe has changed - there is much more wisdom and maturity. It's clear how intentional you've become in your choices and actions. You have presence. Keep on the journey - I'm happy for you and I'm sure you can see the way ahead more clearly now.

I knew you would come out the other side ok but it's hell getting there. Been there myself and I feel more complete because of it. Now, you'll enjoy the journey more because you've been through hell and know deep down without any reservations this is where you need to be. It looks to me like to have been working out. Go for you. So glad the refer is working well. Good to have cool water to drink and good eats on board. Looking at the dingy earlier I heard a sound coming out of you that I don't recall hearing to much before your hiatus: You were laughing out loud. You laughed a the deflated dingy several times. That my friend is a good sign you are in a good place with yourself, and the surroundings. So very happy to see this. Someone has been working hard on their mental health.

Congratulations 🍾 your entering your boat journey in a much different way than I did.
Your coming in financially flush but just about everybody I have met says they ended up spending way more than they planned on. So don’t attempt to go as big and fancy as you can possibly afford, tone it back just a tad to compensate for the inevitable surprises.
Somehow I feel you have a great plan and are ready for this. Being a home owner and business owner is what gives it away.

Tony! The upholstery cleaned up for the most part. The mold does come out. Johnson may live again but I’m about to give her to some of my island friends. I’m sure they will get Johnny running again.
I can only imagine what The Chak looked like after 10 months. I remember how bad my boat looked even after two weeks after leaving it spotless. Paradise takes a lot of effort to maintain.

Sorry to hear your going through a similar experience but here is what I’ve learned. You will come out of this much stronger and growth will happen. Also the more I listen to others stories the more I realize we humans are resilient. So many shared stories that made my troubles seem like a breeze.
