1:55 Western capitalists Has a negative value towards the china brand Especially (state-owned company) Where seeking maximum profit is not the main priority
Less carbon fibre for a lower price, some colour, a better interior and they might be onto something. Not Elliot’s finest review stumbling over the power figure, incorrectly describing the doors and failing to really get it onto some open roads to give it some! China really need to do something in the EV world like Datsun did with the 240Z in the US in the 70s. The MG Cyberster isn’t it and neither is this but 🤞
I think maybe its because petrolheads dont like hearing about electric cars and western universe does like hearing China things ...else this channel would be past million subs by now... I just hope mr elliot, you keep bringing these reviews in the new year..
A Chinese electric Citroën 2CV would be a much bigger cause for celebration, hell even a Chinese Fiat 500 or Fiat Panda... no wait Geely already has. How come has Volvo not rebadged that thing for Europe?
Is this their first attempt? if so, its very very good! I ado agree about the interior. Maybe they need to get a hyper-car/racing driver involved in the design stage? Talking of which, perhaps AION need to do a single-series race series? Perhaps team up with a games studio to audition potential racing drivers (bit like Nissan did with Sony Playstation and GrandTourismo).
I hope those charging lights on the front aren't on when you're driving particularly at night could be really annoying to the driver & passenger. Those are scissor doors though not gull wing doors, the Mercedes SLS AMG Electric has gull wing doors as does the Model X (ignore the official marketing material for it 'Falcon Wing' aka "Gull Wing'). You are right though suspect the badge is the failing part of this car particularly at this price point when it's up against things like the Rimac Nevera as a start(different price but more well known globally).
Genuinely curious how or when an owner of this car in the PRC would enjoy this or any sporty car in PRC without getting in trouble and losing social credit points. Do they just not enforce speed rules extra strictly or something?
I prefer this so much more than the Yangwang U9. If your super rich friend comes with a Rimac or a Bugatti, just tell 'em it's a bespoke 1 off from a fancy coach builder.
only ppl that dont understand a given product buy on brand name, those that actually understand a product by on value which is almost never a known brand(in fact usually its from same factory minus the brand cost)
Doesn't look like any legacy supercar brand at all. It heavily reminds me of the Qiantu K50 which was basically vaporware. Problem was that defunct brand and parent company had no scalable manufacturing capacity. This seems like a more realistic mature design by an established automaker.
Stick a Ferrari badge on the front & rear and most people would think it was a Ferrari 😄🤣😂🙃😊The China made Polestar 1 hybrid was also carbon fibre bodied and was a rare limited production run of only 1500.
I think it looks really really nice - except from the wheels that look far too generic and like they were lifted from a sport sedan and not a super car (they could have copied Ferrari a bit more in that departement) ... otherwise a very beautiful car!
We know you got in to reviewing cars because you want to drive some nice cars Because the reviewing side of your job isnt exactly professional to say thw least
If you’re going to do car reviews, it helps to a) have a good command of English, b) take the time to edit your videos more to remove your verbal fumbles and c) don’t dress like a teenager when you’re a middle aged man…..
I actually love the back a lot. All around a gorgeous car. Which I can't afford
No one knew who Pagani was, or Koenigsegg, or tesla even, legacy is going out of fashion.

That’s true
Amazing looking car, front, back and side.

Great wall China
🧂
Aren’t the doors more scissor style than gull wings? Gull wing doors are like the Mercedes clsssic
It's an odd car, I like odd car!

5:45 900 Volts or 900 KW?

☝️
this car is in a league of its own!
A Chinese electric Citroën 2CV would be a much bigger cause for celebration, hell even a Chinese Fiat 500 or Fiat Panda... no wait Geely already has. How come has Volvo not rebadged that thing for Europe?
But those are not gullwing doors?
Is this their first attempt? if so, its very very good! I ado agree about the interior. Maybe they need to get a hyper-car/racing driver involved in the design stage?

Amazing review and vehicle ! BTW, what is the song in 1:23 ? Thanks :)
some generic phonk
Was I the only one waiting to see this on a track on this video?
How can you know if it handles well at slow speeds?
YangWang U9?
Nope

The charging lights won’t be on while you’re driving; unless you have a really long extension cord. 😄
The Aion SSR looks fantastic!
Genuinely curious how or when an owner of this car in the PRC would enjoy this or any sporty car in PRC without getting in trouble and losing social credit points. Do they just not enforce speed rules extra strictly or something?
1. social credit doesn't exist
2. speeding up usually the fine directly deducted from one's bank account (different for each city)
Western brainrot imagination of a world that doesn't exist is why they are in serious trouble.
China’s credit score is just made up by Western media. As a Chinese, I don’t even know what it is.
I really like this smooth design it look like a restomod of a Ferrari. And with this performance what more can you ask form an EV supercar
I prefer this so much more than the Yangwang U9. If your super rich friend comes with a Rimac or a Bugatti, just tell 'em it's a bespoke 1 off from a fancy coach builder.
The ride looked a bit harsh. Screen and driver bouncing around on bumps.
Elliot, what's the diff between the Fully Charged Show and your channel here?
I get very confused.
What's the holdup with your ssc sc-01 order?
Beautiful car, good job aion❤
Yo dude. That's not called a gull wing door
Cool stuff
is that for the fire extinguisher? for the race track?
That makes sense. But it would be even more of a projectile in a collison.
Aion is definitely a listed company. Listed on the HK stock exchange. Symbol GAC 2238. It is not state owned.
I here Aion known for taxis and ride share cars. Perhaps GAC should have spun off a new bespoke brand. Hard to relate this to a $13600 Aion UT.
Thanks, Elliot for this review. As they have been on the market for a while, what is the depreciation like?
3:11 These are scissor doors, not gull-wing, FFS....
It needs to do well on the Nürburgring before anyone will take it seriously.
If this thing has Ferrari written it would cost easily over 1/2 a million $
Is that your stomach making those noises, Elliot?
when will you get your hands on a firefly?
only ppl that dont understand a given product buy on brand name, those that actually understand a product by on value which is almost never a known brand(in fact usually its from same factory minus the brand cost)
Imagine this in a bright colour ❤
Wonderful looking car, but out of my price range.
Doesn't look like any legacy supercar brand at all. It heavily reminds me of the Qiantu K50 which was basically vaporware. Problem was that defunct brand and parent company had no scalable manufacturing capacity. This seems like a more realistic mature design by an established automaker.
0:11 There’s one very major problem with this car and we know his name.
Stick a Ferrari badge on the front & rear and most people would think it was a Ferrari 😄🤣😂🙃😊The China made Polestar 1 hybrid was also carbon fibre bodied and was a rare limited production run of only 1500.

Most useless review ever.
We know you got in to reviewing cars because you want to drive some nice cars

On the steering wheel like Ferrari, heard of Ferrari?
the same designer who design F12
ONLY the Chinese can demolish overpriced cars......
This car can not do more than 200 kms with a single charge in real life when you driving it a bit in a sporty fashion!
Those are not gullwing doors...
It looks like a generic super sports car. It even has fake vents.. China can do better!
Minimalism has no place the interior of a supercar 😞
Why are you crossing your hand like that when you are steering, do you taking driving lessons?
Totally generic design. Boring as hypercars go.
If you’re going to do car reviews, it helps to a) have a good command of English, b) take the time to edit your videos more to remove your verbal fumbles and c) don’t dress like a teenager when you’re a middle aged man…..
Doesnt look any supercar tbh
Watched out of curiosity more than anything else, I'd never ever buy an EV let alone a Chinese car but interesting to see what they're doing.
