The fact that the two tall guys slept in the car and said they felt good and had no complaints in the morning is one big selling point for me. I like the 2 roof windows too.
Elliot - you need to do more of these travelogues, that was excellent. I had the pleasure of spending a month in Dali last CNY - it's a great antidote to Shanghai, I loved it
I can imagine the production, logistics and editing nightmare behind this road trip video. But I can't help to say, I (and likely all of us) wants more road trips videos in the future 😁
I'm a new driver. Just got my driver's licence in July this year. Then in August I took a road trip going from Guangdong to Yunnan Province with my dad's XPeng X9. To my surprise, as big as a car it is, the X9 is super easy to maneuver even for a rookie like myself. Doesn't feel like a 5.3 m-long car. And I also slept in the car for the entirety of the trip. I put an inflatable mattress in the back after putting down the third row seats so it was indeed a fairly enjoyable sleeping experience while saving me lots of money.
Its like your on different planet but when you get there everything is like on earth atmosphere and vegetation and there are people living there and its all normal
Must be amazing up that mountain in Dali when the rhododendrons and azalea are in full bloom. I'm expecting a fabulous display from mine next Spring, of which, some of the magnolias will be flowering for the 1st time after my having bought them as 15cm rooted cuttings 9yrs previously; unsurprisingly, I'll be like a kid at Xmas when I'm finally rewarded for all of that effort and patience. If anyone's thinking that's an awfully long time to wait for something to come into flower, they'd be right. Magnolias normally flower between 3-5yrs after being taken as rooted cuttings, but I don't have the ideal amount of sunlight in my garden so it's taken me a lot longer to work out how to make it work for me. Why not just buy one already at flowering maturity? Because they are horrendously expensive here in the UK & mine cost well under £5 each to end up with trees that are worth hundreds of pounds each for the more mature specimens & eventually, the younger ones that are growing great guns will also be as valuable within 1-2 years; not that they're grown with selling in mind. I'm always amazed at how a bit of patience & perseverance can produce astounding results; my garden blows me away in disbelief sometimes.
Silly me, but the info about on BEV, using air con all night that only using -2% of SoC is ... "assuring" for me. btw, I know it will depend on the battery's capacity. OFC
Which car was hit??? How, and for which result? Xpeng vehicles should protect themselves by moving automatically when a danger arrives, with EJFJ Positive Contextualisation and EJFJ Autonomous Driving (named XNGP b them). They are improving systems to overpass laws by always respecting even the most caduc of them!
China is such a gem…I like places noone knows. You can just chill and take all that in before thousands and thousand of tourist comes and « ruins » the place 😂😂😂. Nature is amazing. What a gift
This was absolutely brilliant. How astonishingly beautiful is China. Can't wait for the next part(s).
Luckily this was not filmed by BBC.

I'm normally a light sleeper too!
Love the X9 and love this great story. 👌

Great stuff and what a vehicle, never see it in the US ! I see your attraction to China, I get it!
Best one yet, Elliot! That was awesome!
I love how these new Chinese companies are changing the driving experience through their innovative teck 🎉
Danm, the view in cable vehicle is beautiful ❤
Great to watch. If part 2 is anything like part 1, we are in for a treat.
Had the pleasure of sitting in one of these while in China and was blown away!
Fascinating! Well done. Can’t get enough of China - road trip a great idea. Love the camera. And, oh yeah, the car was interesting.
Very nice thanks !
Definitely county on my bucket list to visit, Chinese culture and landscape looks just soo good 😊👍❤

Thank you for the effort.

Happy trails! 🌄 🚙 ⚡
love this!
good video, waiting for part 2!!
Great stuff
A wonderful adventure in China. I would really love to do the same. Thanks for sharing. Xpeng cars and that van are beautiful.
I love the energy the vibe, thanks guys.
Welcome to Yunnan, my beloved home province ❤
Good video. Nice car. Thought you'd nabbed Messi for this vid from the thumbnail
love the format
How to spot a Pom in shorts at a thousand meters - just watch out for the blinding white light being reflected off of their legs.... 😜🤪🤣🤣
Finally something very very interesting !! Where the chicks mates ⁉️😎😊
Magical.
Great video thank you
Great video in one of my favourite places in China.
Next time you should try Jin Mai Shan next to Pu Er a few hour drive it recently won UNESCO status
you're from Brighton, Elliot, the music should be familiar :)

This will fit in well in food channel or TLC program list. 😂
Plates are used to hold bones and debris, while bowls are used to hold food, at least in the southern provinces of China.😃
这种模式介绍车子很不错,下次可以开比亚迪的方程豹豹8去走川藏线,或者去新疆做沙漠公路的穿越
When can i order one in Europe? Funny Trip, nice landscape.
These would sell in the West, wouldn't they? I'm wondering if MG can make a seven seater based on the MG4.
MG is very very low quality compared to Xpeng Motors, this is quite like Volvo, not at the level of most of other Chinese brands...
any update on the sc01? waiting with excitement
X9 is good, the lcd display has proper English font, unlike other Chinese auto makers
Hi Elliot, Amazing video! Can you share these beautiful sites on Google maps?
do more car review tours of china
I imagine road tripping an ev in China is much more enjoyable than doing it in the US if not driving a tesla.
that is so nice! just rent a car to travel around as Motel! that is amazing!
To be honest, although this car looks cool, its exterior is really fragile. My car was just hit a few days ago

Two giggly 12 year olds. Sigh.
