You're acting like they are the world's most amazing headphone and our lives would not be complete if we cannot use the headphones on all devices. I went out and bought some nice Bose QC35s and I can listen to music or other audio on my old MacBook Pro, my new MacBook Pro when it arrives, my iPad Pro or my iPhone 7 Plus. I've learned right away that I do not miss having a cable going to my devices. As for charging your iPhone, it literally comes with a charging cable and adapter you can plug in to any electrical socket, so why do you need to be able to charge it from your computer? And if you do, a person who is spending $3,000 on a laptop can probably afford a little hub that can power multiple devices for $30 or so. A bunch of people whine if Apple don't move quickly enough and a bunch more whine if they change anything. The tech world is always changing, do you really still miss the 30 pin plug or a floppy disk?

I could even charge my laptop from that same port and still have three more advanced ports remaining. From a technical standpoint that is unreal. So no, I am not going to whine that Apple didn't leave me with some large antiquated port that will be gone and forgotten in a few years. As for headphones, I'm a frequent flyer, and it's been a revelation switching to wireless. One less wire on a plane is great. I have 20 hours of battery life, and even after that I can still plug into the jack or lightening port if I have to. Not that I'd ever need to listen for more than 20 hours straight. The reason I don't choose to endlessly bitch about Apple, is because I remember the alternative. Clunky, heavy, crappy PCs, with terrible Windows, long boot times, blue screens of death and so on. My company still gives me a PC, and using it is like stepping back in time. But hey, if you want to have a temper tantrum every time technology moves on, have at it.
@Arsalan - It's not 2003. All that stuff can happen via iCloud. But if you did need to plug it in and do it old school, you could buy a $5 adapter, or $35 hub.
love apple more than ever .. already bought an USB C cable to a little aluminium space grey hub with hdmi out, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 passtru USB C port. and there are already multiple dock or hub like these, so with only 1 USB C connector with apple who puts thunderbolt 3 on it, you can have more than 14 In and out like the OWC docking station with just one USB C plug needed...
I agree. I have a 2009 Macbook I wanted to upgrade but this is a joke. Why not have USB C with an SD Card slot, USB Slot, Magsafe and HDMI? Implements present and future! The touchbar and thinness have actually added more inconvenience to the laptop.

I have the Macbook Pro from 2012 without retina, I still think it's portable enough. USB-C, sure it's good but it's stupid that you need to buy adapters if you wanna get this new laptop. I'm SO glad my 2011 macbook pro i7 machine is still kicking. With the ssd and RAM upgrade the experience is smoking fast. I dont do video rendering or gaming though, so thats probably where the major differences would be.

***** what professional uses a dual core in 2016? What photographer doesn't need an sd card? What if you want to plug in a mouse? What about when you need to use it for a presentation how are you gonna plug in a monitor? What video editor/anyone benefits from a weak gpu or Integrated graphics? This thing is hardly portable to any professional anyways once you take all the dongles and adapters into consideration. Oh and Gaming laptops make great desktop replacement as they can have full desktop gpus while still being quiet portable. Apple clearly missed their target market with their new macbooks.

Recently they connected a generator to Steve Jobs corpse, but just by removing the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 they were not able to get enough energy to power the new UFO Headquarter so they had to reinvent the new Macbook Pro the way it is. It has a P3 display, so yes, it does hit 100% of sRGB... (it even has 25% more colors, check Apple's website) Anyway, if you want a touchscreen you'll have to live with a glossy display that is probably going to be thicker as well. So there are downsides.

Apple removed the backlit logo because it will be switching to OLED displays.. the back-lit logo was illuminated by the LCD back-lit panel. This is their new generation line-up, it would look bad to keep the back-lit logo now and then remove it next year, removing it now makes more sense..
In the case of the startup chime and MagSafe, it's absurd we have to resort to a hack or 3rd-party adapter just to get back what has made Macs unique for over a decade. The one thing you don't want to do is upset your most loyal fans, and it seems like that's exactly what has happened.
so glad i just bought the new Surface Book lmfao. I'll be enjoying my SD Card port, USB ports, dedicated GPU, 12 hours of battery life, touch screen, pen input, detachable screen, IR Camera with Windows Hello to log me in and all the necessary power to run any 3D design applications. Oh and it comes with a mag safe connection. Honestly my best investment as a student so far.
They put out an awfully outdated MacBook Pro. People want to use it for advanced and pro things and this falls short in every category. What you said at the end of the video is exactly right with loyal Apple users, you wait so long and in the end you get screwed but accept it anyway just because it is finally new. The best way to send a message is not to upgrade.

The laptop is excellent, it seems no one pays attention to what's important = computing. the screen is badass, it's lightening fast and has an amazing keyboard. it weights nothing and is super easy to take on the plane. I highly recommend it if you are undecided.

Thats what I did. I waited since March for the 2016 MBPs. I gave up the free beats they were giving out over the summer for this. I was so underwhelmed at the announcement and amazed at the high price of the non toucher variant. I gave it a chance though, and bought the 2016 Pro w/o touchbar the day it came out. I loved that laptop so much it was a great piece of hardware and an improvement in so many areas to the 2015. I actually liked the keyboard. But i couldn't justify the pricing hike over the 2015 pro especially since they are almost neck and neck in performance. So I ended up returning the 2016 Pro and buying the 2015 Pro at Micro Center where they were running a deal for the 2015 Pro for only 1000 dollars.

I got the maxed out 15 inch w/ 4gb RD 460. Need something thats better than a Imac 2015. If i dont like it when it ships I will just get a refund ASAP. So sad the glowing Apple Logo is gone. It was one of my buying factors in buying my MacBook Pro Retina 13' 2015. It was different, unique, and awesome to show off the Apple product to others looking at your Mac. The glowing Apple logo was like a shinning star that made Apple fans/customers feel proud and stand out from the rest of the crowd. It made me feel that Apple is strong, radical, yet artistic. This was Apple's iconic brand feature.
Alright colour me confused. #5 - No extended Charging Cable Included. They raised the price but didn't include the adapter. To get yours just pry up the tray and there it is... ...so they did include the cable then? #19 Lack of 32GB RAM support. You're really going to pass the blame onto Intel for not having compatible CPUs? Not the company that made an already really thin laptop thinner sacrificing battery life and cooling performance so that people can gawk at it's thinness? Right it's totally Intel's fault that dozens of Skylake and soon Kaby Lake laptops support 32+GB of DDR4 RAM but not give that option to Apple. #21 Hold up 21? Yup. 21. The SSD is replaceable in all the new MacBook Pros, but there really isn't a point. Apple ditched the standard M.2 form factor for a proprietary slot design so even if you wanted to upgrade later you'd have to buy a drive from Apple (and they probably won't sell them).

I would buy one if only it still had the magsafe charging port, the fact that it can just fall off by itself if it accidentally slips off my lap and into my chair/bed or anything like that without bending or damaging the port is so good.
I recently bought the MacBook Pro and I love it. I had an early 2013 MacBook Air that my school gave me but when my parents offered to cover half of the price of the MacBook Pro with touch bar I could not resist. I will agree that the lack of io ports is a pain and the fact that apple does not include a USB adapter in the box is ridiculous. I honestly prefer the lack of a start up sound because while it was nice to hear at home it was just a distraction at school. The absence of mag safe is disappointing but I do love the touch bar. I have been using my MacBook Pro to play a lot of games on steam which have an adequate frame rate and resolution for an enjoyable experience at least for this point in time. The lack of the glowing apple logo I really do not care about losing. The keyboard is in my opinion is miles better than my old MacBook Air's. I also love the ginormous track pad. Touch ID is very useful for keeping my Mac secure from people at school messing with my computer while not being an obstacle that impacts my ability to quickly use the laptop. Overall I am pleased with the MacBook Pro with touch bar but it does cost a fortune without help paying for it.

Actually, the startup chime is disabled, not removed. Run sudo nvram BootAudio=%01 in terminal, reboot, and the chime is back.

***** what professional uses a dual core in 2016? What photographer doesn't need an sd card? What if you want to plug in a mouse? What about when you need to use it for a presentation how are you gonna plug in a monitor? What video editor/anyone benefits from a weak gpu or Integrated graphics? This thing is hardly portable to any professional anyways once you take all the dongles and adapters into consideration. Oh and Gaming laptops make great desktop replacement as they can have full desktop gpus while still being quiet portable. Apple clearly missed their target market with their new macbooks.

You know Apple is really into sustainable energy. Recently they connected a generator to Steve Jobs corpse, but just by removing the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 they were not able to get enough energy to power the new UFO Headquarter so they had to reinvent the new Macbook Pro the way it is. I think this will be enough to make Steve roll in his grave for the next 10 years but don't worry they are planing more things to continue.

It has a P3 display, so yes, it does hit 100% of sRGB... (it even has 25% more colors, check Apple's website)
Anyway, if you want a touchscreen you'll have to live with a glossy display that is probably going to be thicker as well. So there are downsides.

Why not seal all the internal components of the mac and weld shot the battery cover since there is, literally, nothing user replaceable anymore...
Apple removed the backlit logo because it will be switching to OLED displays.. the back-lit logo was illuminated by the LCD back-lit panel. This is their new generation line-up, it would look bad to keep the back-lit logo now and then remove it next year, removing it now makes more sense..
In the case of the startup chime and MagSafe, it's absurd we have to resort to a hack or 3rd-party adapter just to get back what has made Macs unique for over a decade. The one thing you don't want to do is upset your most loyal fans, and it seems like that's exactly what has happened.

so glad i just bought the new Surface Book lmfao. I'll be enjoying my SD Card port, USB ports, dedicated GPU, 12 hours of battery life, touch screen, pen input, detachable screen, IR Camera with Windows Hello to log me in and all the necessary power to run any 3D design applications. Oh and it comes with a mag safe connection. Honestly my best investment as a student so far.
Apple should release a dongle bag, a small portable bag where you can keep your iPhone and MacBook Pro dongles neat and tidy

They put out an awfully outdated MacBook Pro. People want to use it for advanced and pro things and this falls short in every category. What you said at the end of the video is exactly right with loyal Apple users, you wait so long and in the end you get screwed but accept it anyway just because it is finally new. The best way to send a message is not to upgrade.

The laptop is excellent, it seems no one pays attention to what's important = computing. the screen is badass, it's lightening fast and has an amazing keyboard. it weights nothing and is super easy to take on the plane. I highly recommend it if you are undecided.

Thats what I did. I waited since March for the 2016 MBPs. I gave up the free beats they were giving out over the summer for this. I was so underwhelmed at the announcement and amazed at the high price of the non toucher variant. I gave it a chance though, and bought the 2016 Pro w/o touchbar the day it came out. I loved that laptop so much it was a great piece of hardware and an improvement in so many areas to the 2015. I actually liked the keyboard. But i couldn't justify the pricing hike over the 2015 pro especially since they are almost neck and neck in performance. So I ended up returning the 2016 Pro and buying the 2015 Pro at Micro Center where they were running a deal for the 2015 Pro for only 1000 dollars.

So sad the glowing Apple Logo is gone. It was one of my buying factors in buying my MacBook Pro Retina 13' 2015. It was different, unique, and awesome to show off the Apple product to others looking at your Mac. The glowing Apple logo was like a shinning star that made Apple fans/customers feel proud and stand out from the rest of the crowd. It made me feel that Apple is strong, radical, yet artistic. This was Apple's iconic brand feature.
So sad to see so many things go away in the new MacBook Pro. I'm just going to buy the 2015 version👌🏾

Not the company that made an already really thin laptop thinner sacrificing battery life and cooling performance so that people can gawk at it's thinness? Right it's totally Intel's fault that dozens of Skylake and soon Kaby Lake laptops support 32+GB of DDR4 RAM but not give that option to Apple.

When it comes time for me to buy a new laptop, I'll be looking into the 2015 model MacBook Pro....

I recently bought the MacBook Pro and I love it. I had an early 2013 MacBook Air that my school gave me but when my parents offered to cover half of the price of the MacBook Pro with touch bar I could not resist. I will agree that the lack of io ports is a pain and the fact that apple does not include a USB adapter in the box is ridiculous. I honestly prefer the lack of a start up sound because while it was nice to hear at home it was just a distraction at school. The absence of mag safe is disappointing but I do love the touch bar. I have been using my MacBook Pro to play a lot of games on steam which have an adequate frame rate and resolution for an enjoyable experience at least for this point in time. The lack of the glowing apple logo I really do not care about losing. The keyboard is in my opinion is miles better than my old MacBook Air's. I also love the ginormous track pad. Touch ID is very useful for keeping my Mac secure from people at school messing with my computer while not being an obstacle that impacts my ability to quickly use the laptop. Overall I am pleased with the MacBook Pro with touch bar but it does cost a fortune without help paying for it.
