Aw I'm not even a big fan of any of the shows or movies he's in but this along with all the stories I've heard about him being a genuinely sweet person are making my heart melt.
There are terrible reasons why breeds like pitbulls end up in kill shelters because dog and cat breeds were bred for looks according to human standards(which is unnatural). So they end up having various health problems like hip problems, unable to breathe properly leading to high blood pressure problems like heart disease or like hypothyroidism...And the owners who were only in for the looks paid these breeders but when the pets start to get sick...those bastards left these poor animals at those kill shelters. Pitbulls are 1 of the most common 'breed' that end up in kill shelters as it's very popular for their looks.

Aw I'm not even a big fan of any of the shows or movies he's in but this along with all the stories I've heard about him being a genuinely sweet person are making my heart melt.
I suscribed to Amazon video so I could watch Piccard. He is such a treasure
I love how Patrick Stewart just casually corrected all the people out there that call it an "accent" instead of a dialect.
I liked that he explained the difference, too, and why it was important and relevant.
STFU.
I love how wholesome and youthful Patrick Stewart is by far one of the best actors ever truly a national treasure
The moment he mentioned Ian Mckellen I immediately heard Magneto calling out, "Charles!"
"That's our joke, not for you, Kevin!" Sorry, couldn't resist :D
I mean - you can see what an incredible chemistry they both share in the X-Men movies.
Kevin Roque you should of killed me when you had the chance charles
He and Ian only met during the X-men films?? Witnessing their friendship, you'd think they'd have known each other for much, much longer.
The first X-Men movie came out in 2000, two decades ago, so...
I thought I'd heard this, but someone somewhere said 'no, they've known each other since the 60s' Lies, obviously. It just looks as if they have, they're just soulmates
I remember an interview with Patrick Stewart at the time of the first X-Men in 2000 where he he mentioned that he had known Ian McKellan decades earlier, albeit not well, during their early acting careers. Strange how he seems to ignore that now.
Ashworth6 that’s what i was thinking. if i remember correctly, they were in a theatre show together before X-Men...
@@Ashworth6 I'm assuming that they didn't really have any time to get to know each other until X-Men, though. The way he describes them drinking tea in neighboring trailers, when a film shoot can take months and months, I'm sure that was the real bonding time.
Patrick Stewart sounds like he is constantly doing an impression of Patrick Stewart.
See he gets it
or he was never acting ;)
Why does this make sense?
Because he sort of is? His original dialect is Yorkshire which is a very broad accent so to rid it completely is very difficult and skillful
It's the resonator the RSC has implanted in all its actors' voice boxes. Even Judi Dench has one.
His voice acting role in TES IV: Oblivion as Emperor Uriel Septim VII is what I cherish most. Legendary...
First time I heard his voice as well.
Then I became obsessed with Star Trek.
I was so exited that he voice acted in Oblivion, then instantly sadden when in the first mission Uriel Septim VII dies
That was my first experience with him too, then I got into Star Trek.
HE WAS WAS SO EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT HIS KNITTING HIS SO PURE
TurtleKing777 everyone should (knit and) be excited about their knitting,
"I wasn't even asked to be in the harry potter movies.. So i couldn't turn it down arrogantly"
🤷🤣🤣
That was definitely a shoutout to his bestie Ian who was asked to play Dumbledore, and turned it down ;)
@Jomu the Owl
To be fair, he probably wanted to avoid being typecast as another wizard.
ajoajoajoaj That’s not it. Richard Harris for whatever reason didn’t like Ian McKellan and has said that he doesn’t think he’s a good actor. For obvious reasons, this made McKellan unwilling to accept the role of Dumbledore after Harris died.
@@emperorzoltar6938 If He Played Him, Then He Would Have Been Revealed To Be Gandalf In A Movie.
BEST answer!! Got 2 borrow that 1!!🙋🏾♀️👊🏾
He should get one of those puppy interviews. He'd be a natural.
This man is so charming and I love how he expressed his opinion on quite serious topics with such respect and so many thoughts put into it... Ahh... I love this man....Hope he will enjoy many more years to come in good health!
"Is Patrick Stewart a nice guy?"
"Shall we put it on a vote?"
"It's almost unanimous, 7 of the eight."

Absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
That was genius, got a meet & greet for being a rebel! 🤟
It could have been so much better if there had been one more attending!
@VKRN I see the reference there! xD ....nice one!
@VKRN Exactly my point! ;-)

Definitely.
Head cannon, updated.
Thank you for actually knowing its name. "A Klingon sword" I couldn't believe he never corrected it.
Imagine having the privilege of marrying your best friend to the person they love, bro that's hella cute and wholesome
I kind of like how he seemed so much older in Star Trek Picard then he does here. Even as an old man he can still act.. like an older man. Truly a great talent!
Every time I see Patrick Stewart on anything (acting, interviews, random appearances, on stage) he's unfailingly friendly, charismatic, charming, reasonable and just 'lovely' in that ineffable sense that very few people genuinely are. One of the few celebrities I think I'd actually lose my cool over if I were to meet them in real life.
It's a rare thing to find a British actor who hasn't appeared in Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, or Doctor Who
Or lords of the ring
@@user-tq3rr8vy2w ralph fiennes played voldemort. in harry potter.
What is funny was that when working with Lalla Ward on a Shakespearean play in England, and she got the part of Romana in Doctor Who he asked her why she would waste her time doing a science fiction show on telly, when she was working in legitimate theatre. An irony that was not lost on her years later.
Yeah, but he was in another beloved franchise: Dune!
Oh.
...oh, no.
I would love to see him as a character in Doctor who! It would need to be their best story ever made through, because he can’t have a bad story.
I adore him as a human. He is so absolutely delightful.
I am a cat and adore him too!

Somnath Bhattacharya him and Ian both! When they discuss theatre and Shakespeare etc it’s enthralling, when it would be utterly boring with most anyone else (Judy Dench is awesome too).
"No, Her Majesty the Queen does not have a Klingon sword" is not a sentence that should have to be said.
Yet, I am so glad that it was.
Watch, she all gets one after watching this. Lol
No... but rumour has it, that she has a lightsaber.
Maybe she does and she just didn't tell us. She might use it to behead Prince Andrew if he causes her any more embarrassment.
I know, it should be"No, Her Majesty the Queen does not have a bat'leth"
Somehow he made me feel like we were sitting down, just the two of us, having a nice chat over a couple cups of Yorkshire Gold. That was great.
I was literally drinking a cup of Yorkshire Gold when he said it. Love it.
He's an absolutely marvellous speaker. I had the opportunity to sit in to an open Q&A with him when he was doing a Shakespeare production at the University of Michigan several years back. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. 💖
it’s shocking how many awards Patrick HASN’T won - he’s amazing!
I’m crying at the sheer loveliness of this human being
"I think Jimmy Neutron was a character in a film that I played"
So, we're all just going to collectively agree that this is true now, right?
I instantly started picturing Jimmy with Patrick's voice!
We must if Patrick Stewart said it.
He is King Goobot
Are you implying that it isn't true?
Clearly one of his most treasured roles haha

It's kinda weird, almost incredible that two famous british actors finally met until they worked together in 2000, I mean, they have been working since long before that movie, and never worked together before, never met before during some award ceremony or something... just incredible
"I'll talk to you later" the funniest!

Yeah he killed me with that one. Patrick’s a funny guy
I would SO not raise my hand just for the opportunity even to be bitched out by Patrick Stewart, and I would be fan-girling the whole time!!

Great guy!
“Was Patrick Stewart knighted with a Klingon sword?”
Anyone else love that that’s a common search? 😂😂
Also obvious side note: I love this man
Such an injudicious, fatuous and downright dumb question, and could only be asked by a 7-year old or someone who thinks an English knighthood is a 'Hollywood' procedure... 🤦♂️
E Knaap you are taking it FAR too seriously. There probably was some dumb rumor that that was the case and some hopeful nerds googled it to check cuz they couldn’t believe it. It really isn’t something to get so frustrated about dude
@@punishercastle5487 It never ceased to amaze me how ignorant some people are, that they actually google these questions...
E Knaap again..... taking it too seriously. I understand about finding ignorance frustrating but this isn’t ignorance. It’s just very simple and playful curiosity. Even Patrick Stewart enjoyed the question you can tell. Take a deep breath dude, there are much worse things in the world to get frustrated about. I suggest finding a flat-earther forum to rant on
Obviously asked by someone who is not an obsessed Trekkie. Comic Book Guy would be like it’s a Bat’leth you fool!

Try finding his performance of Dickens' Christmas Carol; it's brilliant!

I had goosebumps the whole video. What a nice person, brilliant actor, eloquent. Captain Picard, may you live forever.
He should have gotten an Emmy for “THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!”
And an Oscar for "the line must be drawn here, this far, no further!"
THERE ARE fOuR LIGHTS
Or the one where he lived an entire lifetime in like an hour. The one with the flute. That was magic. But...the people who vote think that science fiction doesn’t deserve awards, even though he was SO GOOD in Star Trek.
It's absolutely CRIMINAL he didn't win an Emmy, SEVERAL Emmys, for playing Jean-Luc Picard.
Chain of Command, Family, The Inner Light, Darmok.
There are so many TNG episodes that showcase his amazing acting.
@@ShanteYouStay It is "The Inner Light" which is the best episode of all Star Trek for acting in my opinion. The woman that played his wife, Margot Rose, is also superb in that episode as were the other guest actors.

"What is Patrick Stewart known for?" "Being a delightful, good looking, charming, witty and generous companion." PUT HIM IN DOCTOR WHO! Not as the doctor, but as a companion.
That's actually a great idea!
Honestly Patrick Stewart as the Doctor could also be fantastic, though he might be a bit old for it now.
He would outshine any Doctor they put him with. He would make a terrific Christmas special villain though.
I love Doctor Who, or loved, but Patrick Stewart is too big shot for a doctor who. Maybe he would be in for one special episode but sadly not for longer
I'd like to see him as the master, being a villain would be interesting.
